"Achoo!" Sneezed the snow shoe siamese half-breed as he was playing in some new budding dandelions. His long tail swished back and forth as he watched the flowers move in the light breeze. He blinked as he saw a bright red lady bug. "Prey!" He churped as he chased after it.

The day was perfect, despite the chill that hung in the air. It was times like this that Selene appreciated her thick fur, even if it only managed to cover half of her. Her gaze flicked over the little picnic she'd set up for herself, the pale blue checkers of the blanket design matching the ribbon tied to the wicker basket, and the overall effect pleasing to the eye. Her attention, however, was instantly grabbed by the sudden appearance of another, and she quickly stood to greet the odd feline, "Oh dear, chasing the little bugs isn't something to do on a day like today, darling..." She quickly headed in his direction and was in his path, waving a paw delicately, "Come, come, I've just set a lovely picnic and I couldn't possibly enjoy it alone. Good thing you came along, else I might have had to eat the food myself." Would she wait for his reply? No, it wasn't a Selene thing to do. Instead, she headed for the blanket spread out, expecting him to follow.

Shadow blinked when the poodle had walked into his path. He stopped only to tumble over and have his crown cover his eyes. "A picnic? But bugs are good for you!" He said as she rose to his paws, dusting himself off with a light purr. He couldn't resist the offer of some free eats. He shrugged to himself as he followed after her. "I thought dogs didn't like cats?" He asked curiously as his tail flickered side to side as he noticed the pale blue checkered blanket. "I've never had a picnic before and I should thank you for inviting me, miss. I'm Shadow!"

She frowned, a crinkle forming in her nose, "That old blood feud between species is a silly quarrel, and one I will not partake in." She gestured for him to sit on the blanket, she herself diving into her basket for created sandwiches and baked good alike, setting them out for him to see, "Shadow, was it? It's my pleasure to invite you, if it's you first time to a picnic. You can just call me Selene." Out of habit, she leaned over and straightened his crown, a small smile on here face, "There, much better."

Shadow smiled lightly at hearing the poodle-fox talk about how she hated the old blood feud. He thought it was pointless as well since he didn't judge on gender, species, or background. Better yet, he would never judge someone. He blushed lightly when she straightened his crown. "Merci, Selene." He said with a light purr to his words. "Yes, I'm Shadow. Would you care to tell me a bit about yourself or should I be the first?" He said as his tail curled around his waist as he sat daintily on the blanket. It was quite a nice day after all and she was rather kind to invite him, after all. A feline like himself would never turn down food.

Selene laughed aloud, "Oh darling, if I went ahead of you I might keep you here until the sun set! I'm very much the social pup." She waved over the array of pies and sandwiches and smiled, "I hope I'm not too stereotypical when I offer you tuna on rye, but I had it on the brain and just had to have it today." To emphasize, she picked up the uncrusted, diagonally cut half of a sandwich and took a bite, tail wagging with a slight moan as she murmured, "Tuna was a good choice."

Shadow practically drooled at the mention of tuna. "T-tuna! I absolutely love tuna! Especially on rye. You must be an angel cause you just made me one happy kitty." He said with a loud purr as he took the other half without hesitation. Taking a bite, he let out a moan of his own as he licked his lips after swallowing. "You are a saint, Selene. Oh I absolutely love sun sets! Best time of the day to watch the sun go down. It wouldn't be a bother at all to say until night fall with such a wonderful creature!" He said as he took one of her paws and gave it a light kiss.

A faint pink came to Selene's cheeks when he kissed her paw, her only thought being how forward he was. Most would shy from her forward nature, and he he was going with it... Shaking off the thought, she quickly smiled, "Well then, where could I possibly start? By glance alone you could notice I take care of myself much more than most would, and always go out of my way to set up picnics and feasts even if I should enjoy them alone." Her gaze shifted to the sky and she nodded, "Oh yes, I can be very overpowering with my personality, but you, Shadow, seem to keep up with it quite well."
