Hello. Henry sat on the edge of the pool, kicking her legs in the water. She was smiling slightly, murmuring 'Rat-a-tat-tat' like it was her favorite song. Her eyes stared into the pool, bearing into her reflection. The sun was high in the air, which irritated her to the bone. The top of her head felt hot, so she simply slid into the pool, staying at the bottom like an alligator. She stared up at the surface, missing the dark water that made catching prey so much more of a challenge, but also easier because the chance the prey would see her was small. Unfortunately, in this pool there no such thing. It was perfectly clear, perfectly clean and most importantly she was not looking for prey. She'd just eaten awhile ago, draining a poor little hawk dry. She remembered slipping her fingers under it's mangled wings, touching it's soft skin. It was more enjoyable when she drank with her mouth, but lately using the small little holes in her skin had been easier. Of course no one could see them, they were much too small. She giggled under the water, sending bubbles to the surface, breaking the perfectly still horizon she watched. She frowned slightly, letting herself float to the top, only her head peaking out of the water.

"In my seventeen years, the biggest lesson I've learned, is that you can't trust anybody."
It was only her first hour on campus, and Candace had already gotten hopelessly lost. Her feet hurt, her legs were tired, and her stomach was growling. Thankfully, she had arranged for her bags to be delivered to her dorm(which she had no idea where it was) beforehand, so she at least didn't have to carry her suitcases with her. All she had was her parasol to keep the sun off of her, and the clothes she was wearing.
After wandering around aimlessly for another few minutes, she found a pool. One that would surely make her aching feet feel better after she soaked them in it. She quickened her pace slightly, on the off chance someone might be watching, and approached the pool. She sat down, taking her shoes off and setting her parasol down, and dipped her feet in the pool, a sigh escaping her lips.
It was then that she noticed there was another girl, there, actually in the pool, only her head above the water. While she was taken by surprise, she showed no visible sign of it, she merely gazed at the girl before speaking,"Excuse me. Are you a student at this academy as well?" Candace asked, her tone polite. Hopefully, this girl knew her way around campus a bit better than she did, and might be willing to point Candace in the right direction.
"Especially not family."

Hello. Henry stared at the girl who put her feet into the pool, the subtle movement of water setting off her internal alarm for food. Henry was not hungry, and Mummy had told her to ask before she ate anyway. She swam through the water eerily silent, staring at her intently. "Nnn-neh. Are you in University or High?" She asked, her chin dipping into the water as she spoke, floating in the water like she was standing in it. Her soppy wet hair clinging to her head, moving like tentacles once it hit the water. Henry managed a small smile, but it of course ended up all serial killer-y. She watched the girl's features carefully, looking for some sign of friendliness, which the girl did seem to have. "Go towards Nocturn in you're High, go opposite of it if you're University."
