Midori had heard about the strange thing called a cat show through a flyer stuck to the inside of a shop window and couldn't help but to be intrigued. Did that mean that they were putting on a show? Something like those plays that the humans were always acting in, "How wonderful!" There was nothing better then cats after all so of course he had to go and see the cats as they were acting in their show. He'd gotten dressed up nicely, that being a black dress with green trim, knee high black books with green laces, and he'd put his hair into twin braids, tying them off wit black ribbons. Given the cold weather he'd worn leggings and a warm coat, refusing to show any discomfort in front of those he didn't know or life. He then grabbed up his broom, some money his guardian had given him, and he was flying off on his broom toward the show.

Much to his disappointment though upon arriving it instead turned out that a cat show was nothing more then a bunch of pompous, stuck up, over brushed cats that were trying to figure out who was the best. It wasn't a play, it was a beauty contest. This just wouldn't do at all he thought to himself, hands tightening on his broom, "How disappointing, here I thought I might find myself a talking actor cat to be my familiar." Instead there were a bunch of cats that were sitting in cages waiting to be judged. There was just something wrong about that, dogs sure, they were dumb and went around doing silly tricks for praise and snacks but cats... cats should be slinking about killing mice and acting as though they were to good to hang out with people. These ones had the 'too good for people' part and yet they were hanging out with them and allow humans to judge them.

"A real cat would scratch the judges." He muttered to himself, walking along down the different aisles, trying to find a cat that was different from the rest, a special one, one that wouldn't take any human lip! There had to be one of those about, surely? If not maybe he should check the pound next... those were street hardened alley cats and worthy of serving at his side as familiar he thought to himself, pausing to look at each cat as he got to their cage.

Bells was out on his own today, a satchel clutched tightly under his arm, and wrapped up in a bigger cloak then was really neccessary. But then that was slightly-paranoid-parents all over, wasn't it? It was kind of fun anyway going SWOOSH with it. Said parents were busy today, doing that weird thing that required lots of dimension-shifting (or teleporting, Bells still wasn't sure they didn't just give it a fancy name to make it sound better) and sometimes they came back injured. They'd explained him to it once....sort of, though he very much doubted it was a full or complete explanation - but then, he'd always known there were some things about his parents that he probably wouldn't get to know. When one of your parents is half-creature and the other one seems to know everything even things he's never seen....well, you get the idea pretty quickly they're unusual, even for Gaia. But he was out on an adventure, so!

He didn’t know where Tiberius was – probably on his own adventure. He hadn’t want to come to the cat show, anyway. Bells was good with cats. (he rather suspected it was due to his original flavouring, but it was weird remembering his pocky-time, feelings and emotions mainly, the steady presence of Cali-sensei’s magic, so he didn’t think about it much.) He’d looked round for a bit, picked up a program…but it was a little early yet, the first set of judging didn’t happen until noon. Cats were always snobby but these were so in a different way – models rather than hunters. He headed over to the Cats Protection area, a charity with many moggy kittens and adults which were people friendly (at least enough to not snarl and hiss and freak out) in a large tent. Generally visitors weren’t allowed to pet the cats, most of them being wary, but as Bells entered a few began to wander over, culminating him sitting on the floor being covered in purring felines, and one deliriously happy pockyboy. The attendant was stifling laughter.

Midori wandered around from place to place, taking in the various sights, pouting a bit when he saw various cats being brushed, primped, or worse given bows to wear in their hair, "This is not what I was hoping for at all." He muttered again to himself for the millionth time. His wanders though seemed to turn up, become something more fruitful as he found a place called 'Cat Protection'.

"Woah..." Cat Protection?! Like bodyguard cats? Yes, yes this was what he needed! He wanted a familiar that could protect him while he was going about doing his witch thing he thought to himself, hurrying forward into the tent, clutching his broom in excitement... then starred at the cats within. Not exactly what he'd been picturing. He'd thought that Cat Protection would mean big cats, maybe ones capable of wielding a knife or something. They were a step up from those prissy cats from the show though he thought to himself, letting go of his broom as he walked toward a cat that was walking around, looking it over closer. The way it was moving said it was far more cat like then those over brushed fluff balls at least. Now, to find a black one! All self respecting witches needed a black cat and a crow! The former of which would be far easier to get his hands on.

Looking around is attention fell to what seemed to be a... a, "Cat pile?" He murmured, did cats normally pile up on things? Upon getting closer he noticed that it wasn't a thing, it was a boy, one with a distinct scent that made him curious about him. Was he... was he like Midori was? Midori still retained the scent of the pocky he was made from and that made him wonder if others were the same. He supposed he'd find out soon enough by inspecting the boy who seemed able to tame mass amounts of cats. Something that he found great interest in. Especially upon seeing his dark hair and glowing eyes. Was a witch too, perhaps? He was going to need to figure that out and then figure out if he were an ally or an enemy!

Behind him, looking far to suspicious for its own good and gathering the attention of a few cats that were following it, Midori's broom was sweeping along on it's own, leaving behind a bright green trail. It was something that the witch didn't even really notice, it was far to everyday for him.
