Lily of the Valley
Lily of the Valley is a scented woodland flowering plant, native to the cooler climates in the Northern Hemisphere. It is poisonous, even its berries. The flowers are white, bell-shaped and 5-10 mm in diameter.
The Lily of the Valley is quite prevalent in legends. In Christian legends,they are called 'Our Ladies Tears' as they are supposedly the tears of Eve, or Mary.
In Norse mythology, they were the symbol of the Goddess Ostara, the goddess of Spring.
