Blood Garden

[Brimae]

After much insistence from one individual, this garden was grown just beside the hospital. It's gained it's name for everything that grows becomes an ominous crimson, and the scent of blood is always in the air. Despite that, it is a relaxing place to visit, for the disturbed.

Kei walked onto the bridge that stood over a small stream, red from the gardens reflection. He closed his eyes and took in the scent of fresh blood that always filled the air. This garden was special, and grown in a disturbing way that not many in Anonymous knew. He leaned against the railing and pressed his sword-like fingers against fallen petals from a tree above. He felt a connection to this place, and a sense of serenity. "What do you think?" He asked knowing Sin wasn't so far behind that she would not hear him.

Cinder looked around at all the red in the garden. The scent of blood didn't bother her at all. "It's nice." She said and she walked over to him, standing two steps away from him. She picked up one other the petals and examined it, turning it from side to side as she looked at it closely and curiously.

Kei smirked and kept his gaze to the stream. "They call it the blood garden." He said turning to face her finally. "It's pretty obvious why." He moved his mutated hand in a sweeping motion toward everything that surrounded them. "It's not something that's always been here." he chuckled shaking his head. "Our doctor insisted on it being grown." He pointed in the direction of the hospital. "Try your best not to get hurt, she's a pain to deal with."

Cinder nodded and let go of the petal and watched it fall until it landed in the water of the stream. "I'll try not to, don't worry." She said and looked at a hospital. The first thing that came to her mind was death. She looked away from the building and stared at the water.

Kei smiled as he watched Sin, unsure of why he was. "I'll be back in a moment." He said then walked off the bridge quickly, keeping sure to stay in the shade of the crimson tree's. He was out of sight only a few moments before returning, cupping something in his hands, a long stem sticking out from the bottom of them. "Look at this." He said and exposed a small cerulean rose. "This is the only thing in this garden that is not the color of blood." he said with an appreciative smile as he lifted it to his nose. "Only a few are scattered around, and I am the only one who knows of their existence." He held the rose out to Sin. "You can have this one if you like it."

Cinder looked at Kei and nodded then looked back at the water as he walked off. She looked at the rose and took it from him. She held it up to her nose and smelled it, a small smile hidden behind it. She blinked and looked at her hand as some blood was coming from her hand. She shifted the rose to her other hand gently and held it so the thrones were in between her fingers. She forgot that roses had thrones and had cut up her hand. "...Ow..." She said almost unsure because her hand hurt yet it didn't really.

"I thought I removed all the thorns." Kei said grabbing Sin's injured hand quickly. He pulled a disinfectant wipe from his pocket and wiped off the blood, then stuck a band aid on it. He always carried simple medical items, just to lesson his need to go to the hospital. "I'm sorry." He said with a frown still staring at her now patched up cut.

"It's alright. Thank you." Cinder said. She didn't really seem to care if she had gotten her hand cut, she was more interested in the rose. She was inspecting the rose as she twirled it between her fingers. There was an almost unnoticeable small smile on her lips as she was looking at the rose.

Kei watched Sin with concern, but it slowly faded when he was sure she was fine. He instead focused on the fact she seemed to be enjoying the rose. "This color in a rose is rare, not only in this garden, but everywhere." he said feeling uneasy with the silence. "Only a few people were able to successfully produce them, many others failed producing a violet rose instead." He looked at her then turned his attention to the river. "It seems only fitting." he said quietly, as he thought. "A rare rose in naturally grown in such a place." he smiled awkwardly. "Like a small bit of hope for those strong enough to survive this fate."

Cinder looked at Kei as he explained how rare the rose was. She was a bit amused by the awkward smile he wore as he stared at the river. "I see." She said and nodded. "Thank you, again." She said and gave him a light kiss on the cheek. She thought for a moment. People do do that as a sign of thanks...don't they...? She thought, feeling a bit worried and nervous. If she was wrong she might have made a complete fool of herself. She directed her attention to the rose once again and tried to appear normal and calm but she seemed a little nervous.

When Kei was kissed, he froze, his face turning a pretty scarlet to match their surroundings. He did not know what to think of What Sin had done, so he did not know what to say. Never before had someone done such a thing to him, due to the information that had been programmed with him, he knew that gesture could mean many things, but he never learned how to differentiate them. So, instead of his usual actions, he could only stand there, mouth a gape, keeping his gaze from her, trying to figure out his next move.

Cinder looked at Kei then hung her head, thinking that kissing him on the cheek was a bad thing. "...Kei, are you okay? You're really red." She said with her eyebrows raised, kind of amused by how he was acting. "Kei...?" She lightly poked his arm.

Kei looked over at Sin, and turned a deeper red. "I, yeah, um, fine, I'm fine." He said stumbling over his words, feeling like an idiot for being so thrown off by a simple gesture. "So, you like the rose, that's good." he said glancing away from her and staring at the ground awkwardly.

Cinder nodded. "I do." She and looked down at the rose, her head hung some. "I'm sorry I did that..." She said referring to the kiss, thinking it was appropriate to apologize seeing as how she felt like she had done something wrong.
