Last week's T.D.A.Y. post I quoted Jason Cole when he said, "Some things are just plain Obvious." After today, it seems like nothings obvious in this league, at least this season. Here we go!

1. The Playoff Picture!- Some people have been talking playoffs as early as, well... week 1. I don't like to think about the Playoffs til at least half way through the season. On the NFC side we are seeing our playoff contenders start to get separation from the rest of the pack. The defending champion Green Bay Packers escaped San Diego today in a nail biter, but remains the NFL's only undefeated team, and a most likely candidate to go to the Superbowl, as talks continue about, "Who can take down the Packers?" Dominate the airwaves. The San Francisco 49ers have surprised the league with the second best record at the half way point at 7-1, and believe it or not, can win their division in two weeks! The Giants have taken control of the NFC East with a big win over New England and have a solid 2 and 1/2 game lead over current second place Dallas(Pending on Philadelphia's game tomorrow night.) And the Saints have bounced back from their humiliating loss last week with a huge divisional win against the Bucs. If they beat Atlanta next week, they can have a nice 2 game lead in their division before their bye week.

The AFC side is a little more complex. Going into last week the Patriots were the team to beat in the AFC, a loss to Pittsburgh followed by a loss to the Giants today Drops them into a three way tie for 1st in their division with the Bills and Jets. The Steelers had one week on top of the AFC until the Ravens marched into Pittsburgh and completed a season sweep of their rival, and though some now believe they are the top dog in the AFC, they are still in a 1st place tie along with the surprise Bengals, Also at 6-2. The Texans have a solid lead in the AFC South at 6-3, and for once look like they might finally win the division and make it to the playoffs! And in the AFC West the Chiefs completed a complete turn around going from last at 0-3 to first with a 4 game winning streak. But with a loss by KC, San Diego and Oakland their is now a three way tie between them at 4-4. And with a big win over the Raiders, the Broncos have gotten back in the mix of the division race at 3-5. Overall the race to the playoffs is far from over, but while the NFC elite are beginning to gain separation, the AFC is more jumbled than ever.

2. Tebow Take 2- Speaking of Denver, many people were eager to jump off the Tebow wagon after last weeks horrible loss to Detroit. I stated not to give up on Tebow and to allow him a chance to bounce back and prove himself, and today he did just that. While his overall stats aren't great, they are still a sign of his progression and improvement. 10-21, 124 yards, 2TD and 117 yards rushing. But most important of all, No INT, and another big Win! At the moment the line of people ready to jump back on the Tebow wagon isn't that long, fans and skeptics have started to second guess themselves on condemning Tebow after his horrific loss last week. Regardless, it's still too soon to determine if he will succeed in this league or not. We may not know for sure for another year or two, but games like today. Though not impressive statistically, still carry a lot of weight and show that he can win games. Now 2-1 this season as a starter.

PLAYER SHOUT OUT!
The Entire Miami Dolphin Team- The Dolphins finally got their first win of the season! Leaving only Indianapolis as the remaining team without a win. Though their win over the Chiefs wasn't as impressive as the Rams over the Saints the week before, A crushing 31-3 win over the then AFC West leading Chiefs is a great way to get that first W! Hold your head up high Dolphins, You all deserve much praise today!

Julio Jones (WR Atlanta Falcons)- The Rookie Wide receiver made his first and second Touchdown receptions in his young NFL career. Whats more impressive is that they came off of passes of 50 and 80 yards! Julio Jones was said by many to be the best WR in the NFL draft this past off season, and today's performance reinforces why people said so.
