It had been weeks since he was taken. It was mostly since he wasn't compliant like most slaves but he didn't seem to have the strength to resist either. Unlike most he wasn't actually caged because his wings took up too much space. So Instead he'd been belted down to a metal frame that had a heavy base so even with Clyde's wings being free he couldn't take off. The main reason his wings weren't bound is because they couldn't bind them without hurting him and fortunately for Clyde they didn't know about his regeneration. So they wanted him to look presentable and wouldn't leave him with any unnessecary damage. Before he was taken away from the market he'd been heavily drugged. So He didn't wake up until he was in the depths of Zel's forest already. He looked down at the man in front of him dragging his frame along and sighed a little. His head was still too hazy. He could cause them trouble but being too heavy to fly he'd just make things worse for himself and he knew it. Then there was the proximity collar they placed on him. Bloody thing would shock him if he got too far away from the controller. He'd gotten himself out of this kind of collar before but he did it by making them choose between letting him go or kill him. At least if they let him go they could try again. there was no reward for dead bodies. It was roughly another hour of being hauled around before they stopped. Sly thought it was just so they could rest when they turned around and undid his bounds the other flashing the controller so Sly didn't try anything with them so close. Once Sly was undone the larger of the two men shoved him against a nearby tree and in a flash his wrists were bound to this tree instead. He couldn't tell if it was the tree or what had actually used the energy to bind him because he was still swimming in haze but as soon as he was bound the larger man picked up the frame and started to walk back carrying it over his shoulder like it weighed nothing at all. So now they simply had to wait on Sly's new master to come collect the controller. The smaller man was leaning against a nearby tree focused on watching Sly. 'Probably thinking what he would do if I were his now' He thought in disgust. Sly didn't bother to struggle. He was sure he could break the bonds he was in now but what would he do after that the little monster was too far away to get the controller from and nothing deadly enough to make him release the collar before all Sly could do would be lay on the ground in pain. So now he just had to wait to see what his new master would do with him. He'd lucked out the first time and got one that had almost nothing to ask of him. He doubted he'd be so lucky again though.

Zel lifted his bow, an arrow already notched and pulled back. He aimed for the first man who seemed to be dragging something behind him. Zel had never liked visitors especially when they were dragging things he could not see. Many hunters had died in his forest and he thought was about to kill another until he caught a glimpse of the boy that was being dragged. He lowered his bow and tilted his head as he frowned at the way they were treating his new companion. In one swift move he placed his bow and arrow back on his back and leaped up into the trees. He followed the men silently, his eyes never leaving Clyde as he tried to figure out why any bird boy would allow himself to be tied down in such a way. He watched closely as they unbound the boy, noting the thing they had flashed at him. 'What was that?' he asked himself in slight confusion and annoyance. After the bigger man had left Clyde tied to the tree Zel dropped down silently, landing behind the tree Clyde was bound to. Careful not to cut him, Zel cut the rope binding his wrists with his sharp dagger. He placed the dagger back in his belt and reached for his bow and grabbed an arrow. He notched the arrow and stepped out from behind the tree, aiming his arrow for the other man's head. "What are you still doing here? You are not invited nor are you wanted. Leave." he said moving to stand protectively infront of Clyde. Every living thing in the forest had become eerily quiet as Zel threatened the guard, waiting for the man to test him.

Clyde blinked a little when he felt the restraints go slack. "hmm?" Then he saw his new master aiming at the other man. The smaller man didn't seem impressed. "I'm just following orders. I wasn't to leave this with him." He said just tossing the controller to Zel. "Don't know why anyone would want such an obvious flight risk but like many other things here, that is none of my business." He shrugged a bit and headed off to follow the larger man back out of the woods. Clyde looked up at Zel strangely. "This doesn't make any sense." He said obviously not knowing where to begin.

Zel stayed silent as the man spoke, his words angering him but he had already said all he was going to say. He kept his bow trained on the man until he was out of sight then relaxed and place both the bow and arrow where they belonged on his back. He turned and looked at Clyde, seeing the thing around his neck and frowning. With out hesitation he took out his dagger and reached forward, lifting the boy's chin. "Stay very still" he warned in a soft tone as he swiftly sliced the collar, letting it fall to the ground. With a wave of his hand, the earth quickly grew around the collar an swallowing it. Zel looked the boy over, tilting his head to the side "What is not making sense to you?" he asked, reaching forward to touch the boy's dark wing. "I am Zelphar. But you may call me Zel." he said "You may do as you wish. I am not here to control you but if you hurt anything in my forest there will be consequences." as he spoke he walked around Clyde, looking at his wings with interest and curiousity. "You are a very beautiful being. Has anyone ever told you that?" he asked. Without the threat of the guards, the forest came back to life with birds singing and insects flying to and fro as life returned to normal.

Clyde froze as he was grabbed then flinched a little as the collar was cut. He blinked as he watched Zel dispose of the collar. He was about to say something when Zel complimented him and he blushed. "No...No one says that." He said a bit softly then he shook his head some. He looked Zel right in the eyes and nodded a little. "Everyone calls me Sly." He shrugged a bit. "I'd be lying if I said I knew how that started but I like it." He smiled a bit. "Just, why would you go through the trouble of purchasing me if you were going to let me go before you even had any idea who I was?"

Zel chuckled seeing the boy's blush "Well it is certainly true." he said. He was surprised when Sly looked him so steadily in the eyes, his bright green eyes staying right back into Sly's. "It is a pleasure to meet you Sly, welcome to my forest." he said smiling as he lifted his arm and whistled a small tune. A beautiful colorful bird flew down and landed on his wrist, nuzzling his cheek with his beak. He chuckled and looked back at Sly "Because i have never caged an animal or creature in my life, I am not a greedy human and believe that everything should be free as it was meant to be. there is no reason to cage a bird and there is no reason not to trust you. The only thing not worth trusting is a human." he explained. Zel lifted his arm and the bird took off, flying up into the trees. "You must be hungary am i right?" he asked thoughtfully.

Clyde shook his head a little as he listened to the explanation. He glared at the bird obviously taking an immediate distaste to it. "I may have wings but I'm just as human as the people who brought me here. Just mutation, so you may want to re-think your trust in me." He shook his head some. "I can feed myself." He glared at the bird again. "If you feel like doing me anymore favors though. Keep things like that away from me." He said gesturing to the bird obviously making no attempt to hide his distaste of them.

Zel's eyes narrowed as Clyde spoke, anger clear on his face. With a snap of his fingers Clyde was bound to the tree by several vines. "You are in my forest now, little bird and you will respect it. I do not want to but if i have to i will send you back where you came from." he said, standing close to Clyde. He whistled once more and his colorful bird landed on Clyde's head "Until you learn to respect this forest and everything in it, Camael there will not leave your side." and with that said Zel snapped his fingers, releasing the boy before walking away. He leaped up into the trees and began picking fruit for his dinner.

Clyde growled and shook his head. "Fine then just send me back! I'd rather deal with them than these bloody things! I refuse to have this pest following me around all the time! I won't hurt the damn things but If I have to hurt it to get it off me I swear to god I will!" He shouted as he pushed the bird away as he started walking. He was looking for water. He hated it but water always seemed to solve his problems. Birds, electric collars... water always seemed to be the first and only thing he could think of to get rid of them.

Zel ignored Clyde's comments, sitting in a tree, watching his companion as he ate a pear. He chuckled as he watched Camael pester Clyde. He swung his leg back and forth as he relaxed, a smirk on his lips. "You know. You can not get rid of him." he called out "And if you hurt him you will regret it". Zel found it amusing that Clyde would try to get rid of his bird.

Clyde didn't bother responding. "You have no idea what I have done, can do and will do to rid myself of these things." He said to himself. He really didn't care if the bird heard him. Really birds were naturally attracted to Clyde anyways so he had to find ways to get rid of them. Unfortunately sometimes it meant some pain. It took him a while but he found a small lake. "Perfect." He looked around and nodded. "Good... rocks... cliff... waterfall... good signs." He said to himself before diving in. This was a trick he had learned after his first year as a 'bird boy'. Now he just had to wait. He watched and waited for the bird to get close.

Zel moved from tree to tree, following Clyde until he got to the lake. He relaxed on a branch, watching his companion curiously watching him dive in. He chuckled, realizing that he was trying to lure his bird into some sort of trap. When Camael went to investigate, Zel called out to him in his native language "Camael, air ei sar, shar thys cos sai tysti shas iar" he said with a chuckle. His bird flew up into a branch overlooking the lake and waited patiently for Clyde to come out. Had he known that his bird friend would not be harmed, Zel would have let Camael go to the water just out of curiousity as to what Clyde would do.
((Translation: Its a trap, wait for him to come back up))

Clyde could tell the bird wasn't coming so he changed to plan B. He dived down looking for any air pockets or ways out. He knew he'd be seen and he doubted Zel wouldn't know if there were any tunnels he could use. However it would still give him all he needed. He swam up behind the waterfall using his wings to buffer the currents as he swam up to take breaths and kept going back. One way or another he'd get out of her without a bird following him. He always found a way. Only reason he got caught was because they tranquilized him and he was bound tight until a few minutes ago.
