Alice gripped the strap on her side bag and she ran to keep up with Tory. She took a moment to stare at the name plate on her room. She felt a bit queasy just seeing the name Danica next to her own. "No..no its all right I got it." She said motioning to the side bag. "I don't really have a lot of stuff to put away. But thanks for all the help Tory. " She said before walking into the really nice room.

Tory's gaze followed Alice as she moved into her room, her mind made curious by the way she looked at her name tag. "No problem at all, Alice. If you need anything at all, I live right upstairs and across the hall."

This was where she should have taken her leave; however, there was a tinge in her heart that kept Tory from turning to go back to her room. A sigh escaped as she walked into Alice's room, knocking on the open door, so as to not be too terribly rude. "Hey, Alice, coming up here isn't easy for anybody. Finding out you're a mutant, moving half way across the country, it can make a person, sort of, end up feeling like a fish out of water."

She leaned against the wall, "Any mutants back home?"

Alice set down her bag in the dresser. She gazed around the room. The room wasn't over sized, but it wasn't small either. She looked over at the door hearing Tory knock. She wasn't really sure what to make of the girl being so nice and comforting like this. "Ah, no? I don't remember meeting anyone else." She said taking a moment to try and remember if she had ever met anyone else before this. She had seen people on the news and read about them.

"Finding out I was a mutant wasn't that bad. I mean I know a lot of people hate it and think its some kind of disease. But for me it was more like... finding freedom." She paused realizing how stupid that might sound. "I mean, its just that I never really felt...When I was little.." She bit her lip and stared down at the ground a bit embarrassed that she couldn't find a way to say what she wanted to say without sounding stupid. "What about you, what was it like for you?"
