[META] Worth fighting for? (Umaarufu, Vigdis & Murkha)

The news of the young males death had spread thick and fast in the pride and arms had been raised. Those arms were now bunched together facing off against the sworn enemy. The hyenas. He still couldn't believe that one of the young twins was gone, they were young and a bit foolish but they were young, the point was that they were young, too young to have lost, too young to have died.

Umaarufu wasn't quick to make decisions, wasn't fast in his thinking, but he was an adult, and he had survived as a rogue long enough to gain a full mane and sharp teeth and claws. He was here to fight to stop this madness and see that the world was right again.

He bellowed a roar as he leapt in to the fray, ready to take on as many hyenas as he possibly could as payment for the loss of such a young life...

Vigdis wasn't the nicest of girls to others of her own species so when it came to someone who was not the same species as her, well that was something else. She was on the borders of the pridelands, laying in wait. Normally she would show off, she wouldn't hide but she knew what these lions were like and she wasn't about to just run into the fight. Wait... patience. She knew that a good fight would come to her and then she would get the upper hand. She would kill every lion she could before the day was out.

The sound of a roar made her ears perk up. Oh yes here he comes...

"Come on kitty..." She smirked and waited for him to come. Round 1... ding!

When Mūrkha was assigned by his leader for the charge- he accepted without fault. Hopefully whoever he was with knew how to lead as well, doubling up on the lions whom breached their boarders would help kill the numbers greatly. Hopefully he would have a chance again to kill off another if it meant to protect his home.. and with all costs he would go through and pull off whatever he could in numbers.

Sinking in to a hole in the ground and once the female looked like she would go- he would in sync with her throw himself in to the fight. He was relaxed in his mind- never go blank. That's what his mother taught him long, fight with a clear head. For that brief moment before impact he closed his eyes, he exhaled... letting his ears pull every sound around them and let his heart slow down.. Then he opened them and felt clear.. and leveled.. his paws digging in to the dirt to feel it. He was ready for him.

The male lion bellowed a growl at the two hyenas before him, all around, chaos, he could hear creatures calling out in pain, he could hear triumphant cater cauls and the low deathly laughs of the hyena scum. It was mayhem and he was in the middle of it some where, lost amongst the crowd in his own little battle, for the memory of the young.

Lifting his massive paws he strikes at the female. He knew of hyenas, they were a matriarchal society and while he had no problem with females, he felt if he could take out the leader he would probably have a better chance.

Keeping a weary eye on the male whom accompanied her, he strikes hard and fast at the female, claws out, teeth barred ears vanishing in his thick mane.

She moved and she moved quick. Aware of the male and aware of the lion. He went for her and she moved. It always seemed to surprise lions how quickly hyena's could move.

"You have to be faster then that kitty...." She smirked and kept her distance, if he was after her then she would need to be careful. Instead she flicked her tail hoping that the male would get the message and attack. This lion was going to be a dead lion and Vigdis was looking forward to it.

"Come on kitty... catch me.. if you dare." Yes she wanted the lion to try and catch her, if he wanted her then he wouldn't notice a male behind him. Oh how stupid lions were, so very very stupid.

The time had come, the fight was on as the female dodged to run. She was quick, he would give her that much. With a hefty eye for any signs, although not working together before- the signs remained the same. Body language and determination to kill. Daring, his partner was as he sinked down from the line of vision and followed them in stealth with flying hair from his back neck would be a blurr to see. Keeping up with her was the easy part but making sure the kitty didn't see him was the other hardest part. With one movement- she called to him..

Without second thoughts he shot up from the ditch and took with hefty pull to the ground before he launched himself at the side of the lion. The quick shifting of his foot made the launch successful for the most part and the land on the male's mid section. Trying to get on top of him but failed to do so and clung on to his side as he went to take a bite-...The laughing cry of the hyena called out in to a snarl as he went in for it.

Hopefully this would slow him down..

 

[Syrius Lionwing]

Foolish to forget that the male was there, his side took a full body swipe from the smaller hyena and his ribs burned for a moment. Straddling out his legs he manages to keep his balance flicking his head around to try and take a chunk out of the male attached to his back.

He was out numbered, two to one, but these were hyenas, they had done very bad things and he was going to do bad things to them. Leaping forwards once again with a swift lurch, in hopes of dislodging his unwanted passenger he lunges for the female hyena, his claws out stretched in a left feign, if she dodged right she would find his claws waiting for her. He wasn't going to lose this fight.

She didn't really have anywhere to go, even though the attack went perfectly she was still the target. She snarled and instead of dodging and ran straight towards the lion. It wasn't the best of ideas that she had but it was like her only option. She ran straight at it, her teeth heading straight for his face but his claws hit her round the side of her head.

Letting out a screaming like sound she launched at the lion, blood pouring down her face from where his claws had connected with her head. She was sure her ear was ripped but she wasn't going to go and check it now. She wanted to get that lion now, she didn't care about the male she was working with, she wanted to just kill this lion.

Jabbing his maw in to the body before he was almost ripped off by the sheer movements of this lion. He was quite determined and with the showing of his movements this wasn't going to be an easy battle. With the lunges, he felt his whole body lift in to the air as his claws went to scramble against gravity. The only thing he could do was hang from his jaw until they hit ground where his body slammed in to the lion's left him to let go. The verdict was to get trampled by the massive weight. Hearing bones crack til the lion was successful all over the hyena female. Although hurt, with the mind set on battle, he got up with a subtle sway before lunging himself again.

Now aiming for the sweet spot on the neck to help loosen the grip on the female he was to work with. To free her, even if all around them was fighting- he couldn't help but to put dedication in to his partner. The first time, he missed, and he swirled around and tried again this time to grab to neck beneath the huge mane. With his claws fighting to reach the lion's muzzle to divert the lion's main course.

Snarls and growls came from him as he waved his head from side to side still attached to the lion like a parasite.

The big male lion was glad for his mane, it was protecting his neck from the hyenas, though their teeth were starting to grate and he could definitely feel a scrap down his side. Swinging around he tries to swipe the male hyena with his back legs keeping his gaze firmly fixed on the female. He was starting to wonder how to get rid of them. If he didn't kill them he had to see them off, eh had a feeling if he took the female out the male would follow.

With a deep rumbling growl the lion took up the offensive once again striking at the female hyena. If he could see her off the male would follow, he kept telling himself. The males were the weak ones, he just had to get rid of the female.

He kept this mantra growling as he struck for the female s face his claws stretched out ready to hook her.

((I'm not sure how exactly this is supposed to end but I am assuming that the hyenas are being chased off? If this isn't the case please let me know!))

He caught her eye. That was enough for her to back off. She would have fought more, she would have killed him but she knew now she had no choice.

"I will be back..." She hissed at the lion before turning. She didn't make any sign for the male to follow but all she could see in one eye was red. The blood that was pouring down from her face was too much and she needed to head back to the pack's lands, to be safe.

She would go back at some point though. That lion would get her revenge there was no doubt about that.

( I guess this was our ending posts? Im so sorry! I completely forgot about this rp, I deeply apologies! ;;; Next time I shall record it instead of coming back to the pm ;;;; I also didn't know how you guys wanted to end it? So .. Ill go with Remove's post XD ;; )



He kept trying to detour the male but it wasn't working til she got hit once again. He knew she wouldn't last any longer.. The wound, he managed to see without his body getting thrown around like a rag doll, the wound had looked extremely painful. That's when he knew that the fight had been over and once she left. The male couldn't help but make another strike before leaving. Something to report back to the clan.

He did his duty but overall, the females needed to be cared for and straight after.. he ran to her aid.. Hot on her heels and almost ignoring the lion entirely. Really, he wouldn't have fought in the first place if it were not his orders..

'We'd meet again'- so trivial.
 

[Syrius Lionwing]

The soft tan lion watched as the two hyenas turned tail and ran. His ears vanished in to his mane and his lips turned in a snarl. He wasn’t about to back away until the two were definitely gone. He stood with his paws wide a heavy growl in his chest.

His muzzle turned in a snarl. Moments passed as the two hyenas tails vanished in to the distance. Counting his breaths the pale male let a long silence wash over him. His muscles unbunched and his ears lifted from beneath his thick furred mane.

Settling to his belly Umaarufu decided just stay, just for a while to make sure they didnt come back.
