Scenario: Rather than simply hand you one of the fifteen starter Pokemon, I'm going to make you go out and get one yourself. You see, there are twelve hoods in Goldenrod city. Each uses one of the starter Pokemon (Bulbasaur, Chimchar etc.) as their main Pokemon.
I have a client in Goldenrod who is pestered by these losers non-stop. IN order to keep relations up, I want you to send that gaggle of trash a message by snagging one of their Pokemon. I don't care how you find them, but just come back with the Pokemon you wanted. I'll allow you to keep it if I enjoy your mission. Oh, and don't head off yet. I'm going to loan you a Raticate to battle with.
Remember, treat this like you would a wild Pokemon battle. When you've weakened your foe, throw the Pokeball. The Snag Machine I'm giving you will allow you to capture Pokemon that are owned by someone else. I'm not going to bore with ethics, just know that this is probably the lightest way to send them a message...

Mission report 01 – The start of a career
Coming into the big port city of Goldrenrod city from Route 34, Avo looked around the many buildings. It has been a long time since he visited Goldenrod. But this time, it was for a whole different reason than to just pass by. He was on a mission. He looked on his Pokégear where the mission briefing was displayed. He was to snag a Pokémon from one of the 'hoods' in Goldenrod city. It seemed that a client was being pestered by one of the hoods in this town and the order was to snag one of their Pokémon to send them a message. Avo let out a soft sigh before looking at his right arm, where the Snag Machine was attached to. “I suppose that snagging one of their Pokémon would only make their Pokémon happier... I sure wouldn't want to be with a criminal Trainer” Avo said to himself. He let out another sigh before walking deeper into the city. He figured that if he wanted to find some kind of criminal activity, he might check out the Underground Tunnel first. He made is way over to the entrance of an alley. As soon as he wanted to enter, he stopped in his tracks. “I've just got Ratticate with me...Maybe it's better if I observe for a little while to see if I can get one of the hoods alone... It would be foolish to enter their own territory if they are there...” Avo said to himself. He walked over to the other side of the street where a bench was. He sat down on it and crossed his arms, keeping his eyes focused on the alley. He noticed how some people would enter the alley and come out of it. But none of them seemed too suspicious. Ordinary housewives together with their husbands or Pokémon at their sides. What seemed to stand out was that nothing or no one would enter the alley all by itself. Which would only confirm Avo's theory that, that place was the Hoods' territory. After a small wait of about an hour or so, Avo saw a rather heavily build man coming out all alone. His hands were in his pockets of his blue jeans. He looked over his shoulder to something. “Go faster you lazy Pokémon! Sheesh...” The man said. From the alley, a Turtwig followed the man. The Turtwig seemed to have several scars in it's shell on it's back. Avo watched closely. He looked at the mission briefing again. He saw how one of the Hoods would own a Turtwig. There would be no more doubt. This man was one of the hoods and was therefore Avo's current target. The man started walking again as the Turtwig followed. It seemed more like it followed out of fear rather than from loyalty to it's trainer. After the hood was a little bit further away. Avo decided to stand up and follow the two of them. He was going to make sure that he wasn't spotted in the meanwhile so he was going to have to act as casual as possible. After about a ten minute walk, Avo could see how the man would walk behind the Radio Station. Having been there before, Avo knew that the spot behind the tower was just a dead end alley. Avo started picking up his pace until he reached the building as well. He pressed his body against the wall of the building, tracing it as he reached the corner where the path would go to the right. He reached into his pocket to get out a small mirror. He kneeled down and very carefully slid the mirror over the ground on the right angle so he could see around the corner. “Good. He's all alone... This is my chance”Avo thought. He pocketed the little mirror again and walked away from the wall, now going around the corner, making obvious the steps. The man turned himself around and quickly pocketed something. He narrowed his eyes as he looked at Avo. “Oi! Bloke! I don't like people startling me.. And I don't like your face either! Just for that, I think that I'm going to teach you a lesson!” The man said with an anger mark obviously showing on his forehead. “I think you'll be the one finding yourself beaten down, 'bloke' “ Avo taunted. He reached into his belt to get out a Pokéball. He threw it into the air to release the Raticate which was given to him. Raticate 's form started to show from the white ligh as it took an intimidating position. “Raticate ! Hss!” Raticate hissed, looking with it's usual mean stare at the opponent. The man laughed as he looked at Raticate . “Bwaha! Vermin uses vermin huh? Turtwig, get out there you slow thing!” The man commanded. Turtwig seemed a bit hesitant but quickly got infront of it's trainer, assuming a battle position as well. “Razor Leaf Turtwig! Cut that rat up!” The man commanded. Turtwig quickly replied by moving it's head in a circulair motion, starting to fire razor sharp leaves towards Raticate . “No sweat Raticate , Quick Attack to avoid, then swtich to use Bite!” Avo commanded Raticate who seemed to respond quickly. That wasn't much of a surprise. Avo figured that this Raticate had served for many different trainers so it wouldn't mind who was giving the orders. Going on with the battle, Raticate started dashing into different directions, dodging all of the leaves which were sent flying it's way. After coming into close range of the Turtwig, it quickly opened it's mouth and bared his fangs, attempting to get a bite straight at it's head. Turtwig saw this and wanted to quickly Withdraw into it's own shell, but the speed of Raticate was too much for the Turtwig and it could feel Raticate 's fangs sink into it's head, delivering quite some damage. “You stupid turtle! Get your head out of there! Stop slacking!” The man yelled. He deffinetly didn't seem to be in controll of his Pokémon at all. He was unsure of what to do in a situation like this, he just kept on yelling to Turtwig to get his head free. “Raticate , lift Turtwig up and shut our friend up please” Avo asked with a smirk. “Eh?” The main said, stopping to move and shout. Raticate started snickering as it raised it's head into the air, even with Turtwig struggling. Turtwig tried to splash his legs to try and wiggle itself free but alas. Raticate started spining in circles to ultimately throw Turtwig into the man's direction with great speed. “W-what? Waaah!” The man yelled before Turtwig was thrown into his head, making the man fall down unconscious as well as Turtwig. Avo decided that this was the right time to Snag Turtwig. He reached into his belt to get out a Pokéball with his right hand, where the Snag Machine was. He then threw the Pokéball towards Turtwig, hitting it on the head. The ball opened and sucked the form of Turtwig into the ball. Already half submitting to the Snagging, it didn't take long for the Pokéball to reach the three wiggles it always gave before finally stopping to move. Avo nodded slowly as he returned Raticate to the Pokéball. “Good job Raticate . No sweat.” He spoke softly before walking over to Turtwig's Pokéball. Only to pick it up and put it into his belt. He then walked over to the man, kneeling down before him. “This is your lesson. Give up your ways before I come back” He said. He knew the man probably couldn't hear him but he said so anyway. He stood up again to leave the alleyway. “Mission complete... Turtwig snagged” He said to himself before heading out towards Route 34, the way he came again. It was time to return to HQ and report on the mission.

Do ya dig it?
Mission to get fossil Pokemon.
Hundreds of feet under the Earth's surface lies a world that existed before ours. Plants, Pokemon, things that existed before our time lie burried deep down, just waiting to be unearthed. Archeologist have found many things in their exploits to learn more and more about this other world that sleeps under there. What an interesting job they must have, of course it isn't easy work but still itneresting all the same.
Wouldn't you like to be an archeologist for a day? Well now is your chance! In the three regions, Kanto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh, the archeologist there are accepting help. Who are they? (I bet you are wanting to ask.) Well, Brock, Brandon, and Roark, respectively. Each region has their own unique things to find, such as Pokemon fossils of extinct Pokemon. Who knows, maybe you'll get lucky and find one? And maybe your archeoligist will let you keep it? I hear there are places in those regions where they can actually revive fossil Pokemon! Isn't that cool?
But beware, it might have been seven years since Snagem has delt with any of those small evil teams but like always, there will be someone stupid enough to give birth to one. A rather new evil team is out there causing trouble, one that resembles a previous enemy of ours. They are called Team Eolith, just like the late Team Sandstorm they are crazy about fossils, though not just fossils. Team Eolith unlike Team Sandstorm is crazy about any type of artifact dug up. They seem to be searching for some specific but no one is sure yet. Their region of operations is somewhere in the region of Johto but they expand out from there to the other regions from time to time. Be wary of them, unlike Team Sandstorm they are a bit smarter and stronger. They manly use "Earth" based Pokemon, such as Ground, Rock, and Steel types, and our course they love ancient Pokemon. They may try to mess with you on your dig. So good luck.
Objective ---Travel to Kanto, Hoenn, or Sinnoh and request to join one of the archeologists mentioned on their daily dig. Send Team Eolith packing if they come forth.
Opposition ---Team Eolith, the chances are great they will mess with you and maybe even steal your "treasure" they mainly move in groups of three lower ranked peons and carry one to three Pokemon. (Based on the highest evo you can use or lower, but no lower than second stage if you can use third evos.)
Pokemon ---If you find a Pokemon out there in the wild, and you think you might want it, go for it. Let it be allowed for your rank of course. But if you want to revive a fossil you might find then no wild capture. This mission is to help you get fossil Pokemon of course.
Rewards ---A fossil of course, if you find one. If you do find one you maybe revive it in the mission. Other than that the rewards vary.

Mission report 02. Do ya dig it?
After having traveled from the Headquarters in Mt.Silver over to the Kanto Region, Avo was on his way towards Pewter City, riding his newly required Hover Scooter for officially joining Team Snagem. He smiled softly as he looked towards the road, remembering the mission briefing being codenamed “Do ya dig it?”. He was to travel to either Kanto, Hoenn or Sinnoh to help one of the archeologists there for digging up several treasures and fossils. Avo decided that this was a good way to get a little experience and maybe even a new Pokémon if he was lucky. But this wasn't going to be so easy in there. Team Eolith, a team which was like Team Sandstorm, was looking to foil the plans of the archeologists. It was up to Avo to make sure that Team Eolith would not disturb him or any of the archeologists.
After a small travel of a few hours, Avo arrived in Pewter City, where Brock would be waiting for him. He had already gotten note that Avo would come to look him up. Avo could see a slightly tanned young man with squinted eyes waving at him. That must have been Brock. Avo got off his Scooter and walked over to Brock. “You must be Avo, my name is Brock! I'm looking forward to look with you! I could really use the help” Brock said with a smile as he held out his hand to shake Avo's hand. Avo smiled as he took Brock's hand, shaking it firmly. “Nice to meet you Brock. I'm looking forward to working with you as well. I'm really psyched to go underground to get some work done” Avo replied to that. It didn't take too long for the two of them to head down to the Pewter City Gym building, where the entrance to the underground tunnels were. “So, Avo. What made you interested in applying for doing this?” Brock asked as he guided Avo through the Gym. “Well, to be very honest, curiosity. I've always wanted to go underground and find out more about the Ancient Pokémon and maybe even find some fossils” Avo answered. Brock nodded approvingly. “That is exactly the reason I wanted to do this. I wanted to know more and more as well” Brock said with a smile on his face. Avo was sure that he could most likely become good friends with Brock if he had the chance to. After a little while, the two of them stepped into some kind of elevator, which moved down into the deepest of tunnels. When they reached the bottom of the elevator, the two of them got out of the elevator and started moving into the tunnels. “I've got two Sandslash who will be helping us with the dig. But when we hit sometimes, we'll have to be a lot more careful not to break anything” Brock explained Avo. That was only natural. Avo's objective was to get a fossil from here, not to break one. Avo nodded as a reply as the two of them reached a wall. Brock reached into his belt so that he could throw two Pokéballs into the air, releasing the two said Sandslash.
“Right, you two, listen to Avo here. He'll be working with us today” Brock said. The two Sandslash nodded over at Brock and Avo, acknowledging what Brock just said. In a way, this re-assured Avo a little bit. If Team Eolith were to show up, he wouldn't just have to use Turtwig as his only defense. He knew from Intel that Team Eolith would usually dispatch goons in Teams of three. Shaking that thought off for now, he took one of the pickaxes which was placed against the stone wall. He started digging as well as Brock did. The two of them talked for a little while. Avo learned how Brock had already dug up quite a few treasures and got some media attention over it. Avo thought that something like that would deffinetly get the attention of Team Eolith. An hour or two had passed until one of the Sandlashes stopped digging, looking up at Brock, who stopped digging as well. “Hold on up Avo, I think Sandslash found something” Brock said. Avo looked up and put down his pickaxe, kneeling down in front of Sandslash to look at the rock piece where he was digging. “Looks like it's some other kind of rock there...” Avo observed out loud. “Well seen... I think this might be a special stone or a fossil” Brock said. Avo nodded slowly at that. “We might want to check it out then huh?” Avo said with a chuckle. Brock nodded as he looked behind himself in a tool box, getting out a small chisel and a brush, handing them to Avo. He kept rummaging through his tool box, looking for something. Avo looked over his shoulder to watch him. “Urgh... We're all out of collection bags... Let me get some from the Gym. You start on getting that thing out. I'll be back in half an hour” Brock said. “Right. See you soon” Avo said as he watched Brock walk away. He looked at the strange stone which was still in the wall and then at the two Sandslashes. “It's up to us huh?” He asked with a smile. The two of them nodded as they intensely watched how Avo would start trying to get the stone out. It didn't take too long for Avo and the Sandlash to get it out. It seemed to be a fossil, Avo could tell because of the strange shape the stone had. “I think it's a fossil.. And if I'm right, I think this is a Helix Fossil...” Avo said to himself. He smiled as he showed it to the Sandslash who seemed to be pretty happy about the find as well. “If that's the case, WE will be taking it!” A voice said. Avo quickly turned himself around to see three men standing not too far away from him. “Team Eolith! I knew I should've expected you!” Avo said as he quickly got up, facing the three. “Nonetheless, we WILL be taking that Helix Fossil from you. You're outnumbered squirt.” One of the men said. Avo narrowed his eyes as he reached into his belt, suddenly throwing out a Pokéball, releasing Turtwig from it. Turtwig immediately assumed a battle position. “Wig!” Turtwig cried. He seemed to me much healthier than last time, considering he was with one of the Hoods in Goldenrod City when Avo snagged him. Avo looked over at the two Sandslash, who seemed like they weren't ready to give up the Helix Fossil as well. Brock as right to entrust them with Joey, they were very loyal and dependable. Avo smirked and nodded. “Outnumbered huh? Seems like I got three Pokémon here at my side!” Avo said with a smile. The three men didn't seem to be so much smiling such as Avo. Instead, they quickly grabbed for their own Pokéballs, throwing them out to release three Geodude infront of them, all seeming pretty intimidating. The clashed their fists together, glaring at Avo and his small team. “Geodude! Smash them all! Use Tackle!” One of the men said. All three of the Geodude replied immediately, they shot their own bodies towards Sandlash as Turtwig. The Sandslash didn't seem to have ayn trouble with used their powerful forearms to directly stop two of the Geodude in their tracks, directing their Tackle attack towards the wall. “Turtwig! Evade and use Leech Seed!” Avo quickly commanded. Turtwig jumped straight into the air, letting The Geodude dash straight under him. Avo quickly got out of the way as well, being directly in the way of Geodude. Luckily, he managed to get away quick enough, making Geodude end up into a wall. Turtwig quickly made use of this to shoot a small seed from the top of his head towards Geodude. The seed was quickly planted on Geodude's head, making vines coming out of the little seed which wrapped around Geodude, starting to take effect, leeching Geodude from his Health. The other Geodude wanted to start helping, but the Sandslash made sure to get in the way of that, not allowing passage to the other Geodude. “Going good! Sandslash, keep the other Geodude there! Turtwig! Use Razor Leaf!” Avo commanded. Sandslash and the Turtwig quickly responded. The Sandslash went head-on with the other Geodude, trying to force them back to their trainers. Turtwig took advantage of the situation to quickly run up to all of them., shooting his Razor Leaf attack towards the Geodude, who were heavily damaged by it, fainting on the spot. Behind them, the other Geodude had fainted from the Leech Seed as well. The Goons quickly returned their Pokémon and took a few steps back. “Darn! This brat is strong... We have to report back! Retreat!” One of them said. The others quickly followed behind. Avo let out a sigh in content, returning Turtwig to his Pokéball. “Am I glad nothing too much went wrong...” Avo said to himself and the Sandslash. The Sandslash nodded over to Avo.
“I've seen everything Avo” A voice said. Avo looked up to see Brock coming into the tunnel from another side. “You really did good out there. You protected that fossil and used the Sandslash very able.” He complimented. Avo sweat dropped and scratched the back of his head. “I just wanted to protect out find” Avo said with a smile. Brock nodded slowly as he walked over to Avo, taking the fossil from him and putting it in an airtight bag. He then held it out towards Avo. “I think you should have it, Avo. You fought hard for it” Brock said with a smile. Avo smiled back at him and took the Fossil into his hands. “Thanks Brock, that really makes my day.” Avo said with a smile. The two of them continued the dig until the day was over. Brock even accompanied Avo to the Museum, where it was able to bring Fossils back to life, which was frequently done now that Brock was working underground. The scientists at the museum revitalized the Fossil back to life, ultimatly giving Avo an Omanyte as a new Pokémon. Once this all was done, it was time for Avo to go to HQ again and report on the mission. After saying goodbye to Brock and the scientists, he made his way back to Mt.Silver again, smiling brightly for getting a new comrade.

The Innocence Project
Sometimes, the law isn't all that it's cracked up to be. Well, scratch that. Most of the time, the law isn't all it's cracked up to be. Poor Brown Llewen can attest to that. He attests to it daily behind the bars of a small Cianwood jail cell. It's a jail cell that isn't even his, yet it's his to stay in for five years, courtesy of the Police. And Team Rocket. All his cellmates know poor Brown' predicament, and they too feel he's got all the guile of a lamb. They know Brown could never work for a group like Rocket. Yet the Police thought his concern for a true Rocket, tied up by Blizzard, was enough to convict him as they did the other Rocket.
We, as Snagems are soldiers of fortune. We have no real allegiances but to ourselves. Simply put, our enemy is the constant injustice that exists each day. We love nothing more than to see it struggle. Even more, we love it when there's nothing to struggle.
So someone needs to go and infiltrate the place and spring the guy out. Of course it won't be easy. And I'm afraid it'll be even un-easier. You need to keep your identity and anything that could tie you to Snagem hidden. This mission will rely on your abilities to:
a) Keep yourself hidden from wardens, inmates and cameras alike
b) Use your Pokemon in tandem with your own movements to make it seem as if wild Pokemon have stormed the place. Maybe for food. This can be any reason
c) Escape with the prisoner and flee from Cianwood while keeping both of you out of the slammer.
After you take Brown back to his own residence, there's a great chance he'll want to repay you. You can either accept what he has to offer or if you prefer, you'll be rewarded by me with a rank-up if the mission is good enough for the merit.
Objective: Rescue Brown from the (in)justice system and excape.
Pokemon: Use only ones that fall into these categories: Can aid in stealth, or can cause a ruckus to draw attention away from the inmates.
Opposition: If all goes well, there will be none. If you need to fight, make it quick. Jailers don't carry too many Pokemon at a time.
Rewards: Can be either from Brown, or you can risk that and try to earn a rank-up from myself.

Mission report 03 Do ya' dig it?
Avo was riding on his scooter while thinking of the mission which he was given. To rescue a man named Brown out of a jail. He was put away while being innocent and it was Avo's job to make sure that Brown got out of that jail again. This surely was something else. Up until now, Avo had done nothing else but go into a scene and fight his way out of things. This mission required stealth.
Even though being stealthy was something which Avo haven't had to do yet in his mission, it was not unknown to him at all. As he arrived to the ferry which would take him towards Cianwood, Avo decided that it might be a good idea to start thinking of some tactics already on how he could use his own Pokémon to aid him in a way that he would be able to pass any guard unseen. For the remainder of the time, Avo thought of several tactics which he would be able to use. When he arrived in Cianwood, it was still pretty light outside. It was most likely better if he waited until it was dark. He decided to head over to the PokeMart, browsing for some things. As he was inside of the Mart, he could see a small spray can of black paint. And you could wash it off again. Avo smiled as he decided to buy the spray can for 100 Gold. As he walked outside of the mart, he noticed that the sun was already setting. That was good. He decided to head over to the Pokémon center to make his final preparations for his stealth mission.
After about another hour or two, Avo came out of the Pokémon center, being dressed in the darkest of colors, knowing that wearing these colors would add to his camouflage in the shadows. There was no one else outside. Not a man or a woman to be seen. Avo nodded quietly to himself as he snuck over to the side of the jail building. The only entrance seemed to be out front, but that was guarded. Avo quickly snuck into some bushes to release both Turtwig and Omanyte. The light of the Pokémon being released being hid away by the thick bush Avo was hidden in. “Okay... We need to get into the building... Now, I read up about the Cianwood Jail and I know that Brown is most likely being kept at the dungeons, going underground.” Avo explained to the two Pokémon. “I need Omanyte to use Earth Power so we can shift the earth to make a tunnel, but also automatically close it behind us. Do you think you can do that Omanyte?” Avo asked. Omanyte pondered for a little moment but then quickly nodded at his Trainer. Avo smiled as he gave Omanyte a little space. Omanyte started to close his eyes, using Earth Power to make a hole in the ground. Avo smiled as he quickly jumped in, Turtwig following. As Omanyte jumped inside, the hole closed again, using the same dirt again. The threesome crawled through the narrow tunnel, ultimately reaching a stone wall. “Okay... Use Earth Power to make a little hole, Omanyte, I need to see if the coast is clear” Avo whispered Omanyte quickly nodded as he used Earth Power once more, making a small peeking hole for Avo to look through. Avo got close to the hole, looking around it. “Right.. I see two guards... I think their patrolling from what I can see here... let's wait here for a little bit, observe their behavior” Avo whispered to the Pokémon, who both agreed. After waiting for about 30 minutes, Avo could finally learn that about every other 30 seconds, the guards would be out of sight. The problem was that there were cells in the hallway. Avo had that figured out as well. “Omanyte, I need you to use Stealth Rock.. We'll have a smooth ride above the cells, where the bad guys can't see us. But we need to time everything...” Avo explained. Everything was being set up. Omanyte created a plate of Rock which levitated above the ground. The three of them would get on it, inside the cramped tunnel. Avo kept staring through the hole, waiting for the guards to be gone. “On my signal... Open the wall, close it Omanyte” Avo whispered “Turtwig, if something goes wrong... Use Absorb on the guards... That'll knock them out for sure...” Avo whispered again. After a little wait, Avo could see how the guards would disappear from sight. “Now!” Avo said. Omanyte quickly used his Earth Power to open up the stone wall, levitate through with the plate of Stealth rock and close the made hole again. On the Stealth Rock, all of them levitated above the cell entrances, staying out of sight of the bad guys which reside in them. The quickly leviated through the hallway. Avo could see how there was a dark spot right around the corner but there was a guard coming their way. “Higher” Avo whispered. Omanyte nodded as he made the Stealth Rock almost press them against the ceiling. It hurt all of them for a little bit, but they remained unseen by the guard as he walked straight past them. They then quickly levitated to the dark corner where they would be safe from any sight of a guard or bad guy.
The plate was quietly put down as Avo looked around. From a little distance, Avo could see Brown in his cell. Together with his inmate. Both of them were asleep and there was a guard at their cell. “Darn... That Guard won't move from that spot... How are we going to get him away from there..?” Avo whispered to himself and his Pokémon. All of them seemed to think for a little while as suddenly Avo got an idea. “I got it! I need both of you to use Withdraw into your shell... I'll roll both of you over to the guard. Omanyte, you will use Earth Power to make him sink into the groun up tp his waist and Turtwig will use Absorb to make him unconscious... After that, we'll use Earth Power again to get into the cell, take Brown while he's asleep and exit from the inside of his wall!” Avo explained. Omanyte and Turtwig made a little joy jump, liking the idea. Both of them went into their shells. Avo reached into his bag to get out the black paint spray he got earlier in the PokeMart. He sprayed both Omanyte's and Turtwig's shells pitch black, so they would be harder to spot, being all black. Avo got on his knees as he picked both shells up. He rolled them towards the guard, who heard a noise. “Wow... Sounds like someone is snoring... Huh, what's this?” He said as he looked down at his feet, where two shells were laying. “How did those get here..?” He asked himself. At that moment, Omanyte and Turtwig shot out of their shells. Omanyte used Earth Power to make the guard sink into the groun up to his waist, then Turtwig used Absorb, sucking away some Life Force of the guard. “W-wha... I... Hmmn...” The guard fell unconscious because of the Absorb attack. Avo quickly rushed over, keeping a low profile. He spotted the keys which were on his chest pocket. That was good, now he didn't have to make too much noise with the Earth Power to get into the cell. He took the keys as he opened up the cell door, waking Brown up. “Wha? Huh..? Who are you?” Brown asked. “No time, we have to get out of here” Avo whispered. “Oh Mareep... Mareep... I love you Mareep... C'mere so I can snuggle you... Yeah... Sweet...” The inmate mumbled in his sleep. Both Avo and Brown stared at him. “He threatened me with his fists for my meat yesterday...” Brown said as a comment. Avo couldn't help but chuckle at this all. Omanyte and Turtwig quickly came into the cell. Avo closed the door as he looked at Brown. “Once we're outside, we run towards the cave System, where we'll race through. Once we're on the other side of the tunnels safely, there should be a boat which takes us to the mainland again at Olivine... That is where your freedom begins” Avo quickly explained. “Let's get out then” Brown said. The rest of the plan started to get into motion. Omanyte used Earth Power to open up a hole in the prison cell, closing it again after everyone was out again. Avo quickly returned both Turtwig and Omanyte to their Pokéballs. Brown and Avo made it towards the cave system, where Avo and Brown could easily navigate through. Once they were outside, there was a small boat which could hold two persons. “Quick, get in. I'll row” Avo said. So said, so done. Avo and Brown got into the boat as Avo began to row. His fatigue started to show a little bit. Having passed through a rather large cave complex and now having to row to the mainland. After about two hours of non-stop rowing, Brown and Avo reached the mainland of Olivine city around 3:00 am. It was still dark when the two of them got out of the boat. “You can use the darkness to get a little further...” Avo said as he panted. “Thank you... I still don't know who you are or why you did this...” Brown replied. “Call me Avo... And this is your true justice... Freedom” Avo said as he smiled. “I'll remember your name... I hope I can see you again some day?” He asked. “Definitely... Now go, I'm not saving you from another prison” Avo joked. Brown laughed softly as he shook Avo's hand. As he disappeared from sight, Avo walked over to the boat, ramming his boot into the bottom of the boat, kicking it away further into the ocean. He saw how the boat would finally sink away into a deeper part of the ocean. “Let's head to HQ...” He said to himself. He started walking, since his scooter was still in Olivine city. “Mission, successful” He said with a smirk.

It was not too long before Avo had joined Team Snagem that the even which is described here had happened. It was actually one of the main reasons that Avo joined Team Snagem. We return in time a little. About a year ago, where Avo was 18 years old. We find ourselves in Solaceon Town in the Sinnoh region. In a grass field, surrounded by a wooden fence, Avo lies on the ground, his arms beneath his head and his eyes closed. Several Mareep were walking around in the same grass field as well. Everything seemed quiet as well until from out of nowhere, a Gardevoir Teleported behind Avo. She floated over to Avo and kneeled down next to him. She quietly placed her hands on his forehead. Avo didn't seem to react for some time until Gardevoir closed her eyes as well. “I'm coming. Gardevoir . What's Mom making?” Avo asked out of nothing. Things seemed quiet for a little while until Avo started to smile softly. “Hamburgers? Great, let's go Gardevoir ” Avo said as he opened his eyes, sitting up before stretching once. He stood up as he dusted himself up, looking at Gardevoir . Gardevoir floated up as well as she smiled. The two of them raced towards a little farmhouse which was in the outskirts of Solaceon Town. As Avo and Gardevoir walked into the house, they immediately walked over to a made table. “Thanks for getting your brother Gardevoir . All it used to take was the scent of my lovely food. But now he sleeps so much in that field that I need to get you to do it” A woman said. That woman is Avo's Mom. She had medium long brown hair. It fell about to her shoulder. She was just taking off her apron and walked to the table. Gardevoir giggled softly as she sat at the table. At the table, there was another Gardevoir , a Gallade and a man with a beard. That was Joey's father. He seemed like a stern father. He was reasonably muscled and had next to no hair on the top of his head. “Bwah! Next time you should stay asleep and be hungry!” his father said. “Gardevoir will come for me anyway so don't worry about me going hungry Dad” Avo replied to that. The other Gardevoir who was sitting at the table seemed a little older than the Gardevoir who got Avo from the fields. And next to her was a Gallade, who also seemed a bit older than Avo and the Gardevoir who sat next to him. It almost seemed like a little family of Gardevoir and Humans. Which was exactly the case. The six of them started to eat, laugh and just have a good time. This has been Avo's life for a long time. He grew up in this farmhouse, traveled the world with Gardevoir , made friends, found new Pokémon and then returned home for a little while again. For 18 long years, this is what Avo thought to be the perfect life. To live with his Pokémon, to travel with his Pokémon and to do this for his entire life. But there was another person in Avo's family who never came home after he left the house with his Abra and Nidoran. He never liked the lifestyle of Avo's family. He swore to make sure that never again would a Pokémon be an equal in the world. Obviously, this person was completely different from Avo and his family and deep inside, they hoped that he could change. But for years that hadn't happened yet. And no one ever saw or heard of him again. From one moment, everything seemed peaceful like a normal evening but then all of a sudden, Gallade seemed to stopped eating and stare down at his plate. Avo's father noticed this and looked at him. “Oi, Gallade, are you alright?” Dad asked. Gallade didn't seem to respond, as if focusing a great deal. He then suddenly looked up and looked straight into Dad's eyes, which widened. “He's here? And you feel that as well?” Dad said. Mom looked a little worried. “Hunny, what's wrong?” Mom asked, her voice a bit shaky. “Bryan is here... But Gallade feels that he's no longer ours... That he's here to end things...” Dad said. Avo's eyes widened. His brother was here after all these years? To end things? What could this mean? Everyone at the table seemed quiet for a little while until Avo stood up. “I'll go” He said, his eyes now narrowed. His Gardevoir looked up at him and then stood up as well, taking his hand. Mom and Dad looked at each other for a little moment before nodding at each other. “Son... I don't like saying this... But Bryan is not who he used to be anymore. Out of the four sons we raised. We can no recognize him back... I don't want to see him here ever again. I want you to make sure that never happens” Dad said in a stern voice. Avo nodded quietly and without saying a word, he rushed through the kitchen, into a small other room where a belt was, filled with six Pokéballs. These were the Pokémon that Avo had gathered in his earlier journeys. And they were his most powerful. He knew that if he was going to face his brother and more, he would definitely need them. He strapped the belt around his pants and ran outside with Gardevoir . Once outside, the clouds seem to have darkened. Avo looked around and towards the town, where several screams seemed to be coming from. Avo gritted his teeth as he started running towards his hometown.
“Not so fast, dearest brother” A voice said. Avo stopped in his tracks to only shiver at the low voice. As he turned himself around, he could see a tall man with long, silver hair which fell to his lower back. He was wearing a long, black, leather coat, which covered up most of his body. His skin seemed to be extremely pale. As if he had never seen the sunlight. “The town is under attack of my Ghost-Type Pokémon. And I will not allow you to meddle with my plans. Instead of letting my Ghosts destroy you, I want to personally take you down. Avo” Bryan said. “Bryan... Why are you doing this? Why are you destroying something which we hold so dear?” Avo asked him. “I am no longer Bryan... I now go by the name of Plaguedmind. And I will answer your questions while I look down on you. I fought you right before I left with Abra and Nidoran while you used Ralts and Aron... I lost that time and I never forgave myself or my Pokémon for losing to weaklings... Now, I will destroy you!” Plaguedmind yelled as he reached into his belt to fiercely throw two black Pokéballs into the air. Avo knew he couldn't talk him out of it. Avo had to battle for his own sake and the Town's sake. He reached into his own belt to throw out one normal Pokéball. Plaguedmind had released Alakazam and Nidoking, while Avo released his Aggron . Gardevoir joined into Avo's party as well. “Mega Horn, Nidoking!” Plaguedmind quickly ordered, making his Nidoking automatically charge towards Avo's Aggron , who let out a mighty roar before charging forward as well, taking Nidoking by the head, blocking the attack completely. Nidoking narrowed his eyes as he took Aggron by the head with his own arms as well, it starting to be a power struggle. Avo figured that the two of them would probably be busy for a little while and that now was a good time to start firing some attacks with Gardevoir . “Gardevoir ! Double Team! Teleport! Shadow Ball!” Avo quickly commanded. Without telling Gardevoir his plan, she knew exactly what to do. Gardevoir and Avo were like brother and sister, being born at the exact same time and traveling their entire lives together. Both of them knew what the other wanted. By heart and by training. Gardevoir quickly used her Double Team attack, creating fire mirror versions of herself. This is when she narrowed her eyes and started to Teleport all around Alakazam, who didn't seem too much impressed at this. Also being a very powerful Psychic-Type Pokémon, he could easily identify the real Gardevoir . “Pathetic! Alakazam, do the same!” Plaguedmind ordered. In a matter of seconds, Alakazam had created an equal amount of mirror images of himself, Teleporting all around. Both Alakazam and Gardevoir started to fire their Shadow Ball attacks to one another. Mirror images fainting away and being created anew on the spot. For all four Pokémon, it seemed to be a power struggle. They all seemed evenly matched to one another. Avo knew that if this would go on, there would be no winner in this. Only pain. He had to come up with something on the spot. He then quickly thought of something. An ability which both Alakazam and Nidoking wouldn't have, compared to Aggron and Gardevoir . “Automatize! Iron Head! Earthquake!” Avo quickly commanded Aggron . After hearing the series of commands, he started smirking. He let out a loud roar as suddenly, most of his armor flew off his body, the scrap metal which kept him from moving as fast as possible fell off. He reduced his own weight with this, looking a lot thinner. And he was able to move himself a lot flexible. Nidoking seemed to be surprised by this sudden 'transformation' as well, leaving an opening for Aggron to take. Aggron quickly bashed his heavy head into that of Nidoking, sending him flying a bit backwards. “Nidoking!” Plaguedmind said half worried, half angry at him. It didn't take long for Aggron to quickly run up towards Nidoking and grab him by his tail. Aggron started to swing Nidoking around, using his Earthquake attack. Aggron jumped into the air and spun his entire body around before fiercely throwing Nidoking towards the ground, letting it shake on the impact. A dust cloud whipped up as another loud bang appeared. This was Aggron landing on his feet. Back at the farmhouse, Avo's Dad and Mom seemed to be sitting on the couch together with Gallade and the other Gardevoir . They could feel the tremor in the ground. Gallade and Dad both looked up and could see the dust cloud outside the window. “Wow... I hope Avo's all right” Dad said. The rest of them nodded quietly. Agreeing with Dad. Back at the fight, the dust cloud seemed to be moving away, showing that Nidoking had fainted from this series of powerful attacks. “Damn you Nidoking! Damn you!” Plaguedmind yelled as he returned him. Avo returned Aggron as well. “Good job Aggron . Rest now” Avo said as he then looked over at Alakazam and Gardevoir who were still evenly matched in their series of attacks. Avo knew that it would be a lot harder to take down Alakazam, this being Plaguedmind's first Pokémon ever and most likely his most powerful. Plaguedmind narrowed his eyes as he looked at the two Pokémon fighting. “Alakazam! Stop this! I want you to destroy both of them now! I want you to charge your most powerful Shadow Ball attack and destroy everything!” Plaguedmind yelled. Alakazam quickly used Teleport to stand next to Plaguedmind. He raised his arms as in a rapid speed, a massive Shadow Ball was created in the skies. Obviously, the adrenaline and the massive power of Alakazam came out all at once, not wanting to fail his master just like Nidoking did. Alakazam started to sweat as he seemed to have trouble to create more and more of this attack. The Shadow ball soon reached the size of several buildings. Avo watched with amazement. How could he possibly stop something like this? Avo looked over at Gardevoir who seemed to connect telepathically with him. Avo listened carefully to the words which no one else could hear. He then suddenly nodded, swallowing. “Gardevoir ! Create a Black Hole!” Avo commanded. Plaguedmind his eyes widened a little bit. “Black Hole? How could I not have know this ability...” He said to himself. He just remembered how the Gardevoir race was the only Psychic-type Pokémon which enough power to create Black Holes. Gardevoir quickly Teleported towards Avo and held out her hands. The area around her seemed to intensify, the grass started to be pulled out of the ground and float in the middle of Gardevoir 's hands, seeming to form a small globe. Small electrical sparks started to surround the globe of grass as suddenly a small dot of blackness appeared in the globe. Plaguedmind saw this and laughed out loud. “Haha! Is that it? Your Pokémon are just like you Avo! Weak and pathetic!” Plaguedmind yelled. Gardevoir closed her eyes for a brief second, before opening them again, creating the famous blue line over herself which showed she was exerting her Psychic abilities. Her eyes widened to the max as she now held up her arms, the globe suddenly growing in size, being half the size of Alakazam's Shadow Ball attack. But being much more powerful than the Shadow Ball attack. The Black Hole started to devour everything around it. Grass flew up and even a weak tree was de-rooted and sucked into it. And it didn't take long before the Shadow Ball started to decrease in size as well. The Black Hole was sucking up the entire attack. Plaguedmind his eyes widened as he could see the events preceded. “Damnit.. Damnit! DAMNIT!!” He yelled he saw how his most powerful Pokémon and his most powerful attack was being defeated just like that. He knew he was going to lose. He closed his eyes and gritted his teeth. He made a decision which he did not want to make. “Get us out of here Alakazam!” He yelled. Alakazam seemed to be shocked by the decision of his Master but decided not to question it. He let go of the Shadow Ball which he created, which was sucked into the Black Hole of Gardevoir . Alakazam quickly ran over to Plaguedmind and took his shoulder. Alakazam waited for a second as he looked over his shoulder, straight at Avo. It almost seemed as if he was apologizing with his eyes towards him. Avo saw this and nodded towards Alakazam. “What are you waiting for?! Get us out!” Plaguedmind ordered. Alakazam closed his eyes as he teleported away with Plaguedmind. Gardevoir slowly started to let the Black Hole shrink in size again. To the point where it was just a small dot and then vanished into nothing. The dark clouds around them seemed to fade as well. Gardevoir panted heavily before falling to her knees. Avo quickly rushed over to kneel down next to her. “You did well Gardevoir ... You can rest.. As long as you want...” Avo said as he stroked her head softly. Gardevoir smiled softly as well as she closed her eyes, falling asleep. Avo sighed as he looked around himself. It had been so long since he and Gardevoir had fought like this. Especially with the Black Hole. Avo saw how everything around them seemed to be dead. Grass, trees and bushes. It was a sacrifice which had to be made. If he didn't do this, the entire town would have been destroyed. It seemed like no more screams were coming from town. Avo picked Gardevoir up in his arms. And stood up. “Plaguedmind isn't going to stop this... Next time he won't be alone... But I won't be alone either... That one thing... That Team... Maybe they can help me... When he returns” Avo said to himself.. He started walking back to the farmhouse, where his mother and father were waiting.
