The Temple of Love  These two are a contest for PARTNERS. Find someone and buddy up if these lovebirds appeal to you. The StoryThe Female has been an aristocrat her whole life and never knew the true suffering of the colonies. One day, she meets and falls in love with this mysterious dark male, and the two eventually fall in love. However, this love has a terrible cost. He3 was born on the colonies and his mother was a colonist and his father of unknown pedigree, and so, he's not considered fit to be aristocratic. One night, he steals away to the love of his life and admits everything, the paramounnt shock that he's a member of the coalition lead by Mah'Rie'Meiah Barutono that's sworn to enslave the Aristocracy and bring the colonies to power! She loves him very much, and he loves her so much it physically hurts to be apart, but they don't know who to talk to... Except the Lady's best friend, a black and red lieopardess raised as her sister. Tips and Requirements- The names should be complimentary or have antonym meanings. (Coupler names would be like Amuro and Sayla; Antonyms would be Nacht and Tag (Night and Day). - These SoA REQUIRE a first and last name. Go nuts here. - NO abusive relationships please. Your best friend has always trusted you, but she comes to you now and tells you she's fallen for a rebel-- an enemy! This places you in a dire predicament... Support the sister you love with all your heart? Or your pride that gave you life? Tips and Requirements- Her name should be German or nordic in origin, if not Elvish (Please link the Elvish translator.) Good sources are books, especially the Shannara series, too. Hint, hint, wink wink. XD - Her side in the war is up to you. Is she a loyal follower of the Prime Minister or a turncoat banding behind Mah'Rie'Meiah? - She will require a last name. - Her sister may have left young or she may be related to Ilse Shannara ( See Ilse, owned by NovaCracker). Name: Bregedúr Bâl (Divine Wildfire in Elven)
Owner: Kitsune Mistress Nyoko
Personality: Bregedúr is very much like her name suggests she would be, and most would say she doesn't belong in the Aristocracy at all. She is loud and outspoken, and would much prefer to wrestle with her friends over attending her lessons. She isn't afraid to speak her mind for all to hear, regardless of the potential consequences it could bring down upon her. Despite all this, she is extremely loyal to her sister, and wouldn't do anything to harm her. As outspoken and brash as she is, she makes an effort to hold her tongue and remain poised in public, if only for her sake.
Rebel or Loyal?: Loyal by day, Rebel by night
Prompt # and Reply: (Mixture of Prompts 1 & 2)
Bregedúr had always known something wasn't quite right in her life. What was she, a leopard, doing as a member of the Aristocracy? Why had her adoptive parents taken her in? There were so many questions, and not enough answers.
She used to ask them, when she had been younger. She had always spoken her mind, and didn't hesitate to be vocal about how different things were for her. The food was better, closer tabs were kept on her, and everyone always looked at her so strangely! But after many disapproving looks from her new parents, she had learned to keep her mouth shut. She had learned what she really was to them.
She was a morality pet.
Any time her parents messed up or offended the colonies, they were careful to divert the attention to their daughters. Oh, look at Bregedúr! Look at how wonderful she is doing and how beautifully she gets along with her adoptive sister! Surely she will make a fine Duchess when she's an adult; surely she will promote peace between the Aristocracy and the colonies! How can lions like us possibly be foul or corrupt when we've taken in a leopard as our daughter!
It was disgusting, the way they used her. The way they openly lorded peace in public, yet displayed open disgust at how the colonies lived in the privacy of the Aristocracy. She resented them, she despised them.
And then, there was her sister. Her poor, sweet, innocent sister. Nothing their parents had said could possibly poison her mind. Bregedúr made sure of this. She told her tales of her youth in private, whispered stories of less-than-ideal prey and open disgust from most of the Aristocracy. She also told of harmony, of all felines living together as one and of hybrids being accepted as what they were - the product of two spirits in love.
Her naivety was refreshing, charming even. And she refused to let it be spoiled by the impending civil war. Her beautiful sister need not know the truth about her loyalties.
How much of a scandal would it be if she knew that dear sweet Bregedúr supported the rebels in secrecy? That she stole away at night to hone her battle skills for when the day would come that she would take up her place among her allies in the colonies? Just how would it affect their relationship?
Of course, she knew deep down that things were never be the same were she to find out. Her sister, for all the tales she told her of the Aristocracy’s oppression, could never truly understand. She had never lived in the colonies, had never seen the disgust on the faces of her fellows first hand. And as much as she believed in peace, she could never fight for it the way her sister could. The way her sister would.
And she could not bear to tear her apart because of that.
It was for this reason that she would pretend. She would pretend to support the Aristocracy along with her sister during the light of day. She was used to pretending to be something she was not. But under the cover of night, she would support the colonies.
Just as her birth sister, the one who had fled the pride entirely as soon as her paws could carry her, would have wanted her to. The way her parents would have wanted her to.
