Midnight, the Dark Hour...as the eerie moonlight and green sky hover overhead in the towns of Inaba and Port Island, something has appeared in the Downtown Area of Okina between the two supernatural hotbed locations that sent a shock-wave through the southern region of the country. Its appearance has left a significant portion of the small city in ruins, an explosion of power moments after the Dark Hour having caused havoc amongst the mostly-empty sector of office buildings and other tall structures. Those who possess the powers of the supernatural can feel the devastation and its presence, whatever it is...it is powerful, alluring, it is a temptation that is difficult to resist, even for the strong-willed. Forces of good and evil alike place designs upon obtaining it, and converging upon its location, a hasty alliance is formed between enemies, allies, and strangers alike all for the opportunity to place their hands upon an item that might turn the tide of their ongoing struggles.
What has resulted from all these forces converging into one area to fight over one prize? A two-sided melee: Good versus Evil, Embryon versus the Assembly of Nihilo, and General Serph Sheffield of the Port Island Embryon Branch (leading the heroes) versus his former comrade Heat O'Brien (leading the villains), Ex-Embryon and Soldier of the Assembly of Nihilo. But they aren't the only ones with hidden agendas lurking just beneath the surface, designs on making the Power their own, and each person enters into this battle for their own reasons...looking for their own gain or reason. And yet, despite the two forces pushing one another back and fighting for every inch to obtain that which has appeared for themselves...whatever it might be...something incredible awaits them at the center of the battlefield.
