I felt the same way, considering my mom owns a home childcare, and we have like 1092345 Barney tapes. She doesn't really play them anymore, thankfully.

eek My 5 year old brother yesterday was watching like pokemon or something Japenese oriented and he was quoting the lines!!!!! It freaked me out, even the previews!!!

*sigh* Oh, the good ol' days, when I would skip nap-time to watch Barney....
Now, I'd rather see the peace symbol loaded on crack or buying hookers....
I say to show the tape of when Barney got his arse kicked by in a Chicken at a baseball game from the Eighties and tell them that Barney is a Pansy and that pansies never get along in life.

I'm glad my little cousin isn't staying with us anymore and they went back to the other side of the U.S.
That way I don't have to put up with all of those little kid shows.
