I made this thread to try and get everyone more involved in the lessons.
Rules: Follow the 'TOS' Or I will destroy you!
You can:
- Discuss anything that has to do with a lesson that week.
- Ask question on something that may be confusing in the lesson.
You can NOT:
- Harass any of the teachers. We are doing this as a service to you.
- Do NOT completely bash a lesson, if you have complains PM them to me and I will take care of it.

I was reading through the Animal Communications lesson, and I started to think. WARNING: Flashback coming on!
When I was small, oh, around 7 or 8 or maybe even 9 (age isn't important) I remember going to the zoo. They had this new enclosure with red foxes in it. I love foxes in general, so I had to see it! Well, when I visited, all I saw were a handful of foxes wandering around, not looking very happy. Then a tiny voice in the back of my head said, "I miss the forest." And I realized that the fox in front of me was talking to me. We started talking a lot after that. I didn't even need to be near him to talk to him. He was called Larson. Well, Larson and I were best friends for a while, but one day I tried to say 'Good Morning, Larson!' and he wasn't there. He didn't ever answer back. And when I visited the zoo a while later, there was a fox missing.
It always makes me cry, thinking about Larson. I really miss him, I mean, he was more than a pet. (WE don't have any...) So yeah, that's what I think about when I read the Animal Communications lesson...

heh that is awesome...my first time i realized i had the ability to work the weve i had a fish in a huge aquarium (i think it was Sea World) follow me for about half an hour...It never left where I was and always was looking right at me. In the back of my mind i could hear something, but i didnt know how to hear it without breaking the connection the fish had to me...i still remember what it said though...even if i cant understand a lick of it...

i don't know if its the same kind of thing but i have always kind of a connection with animals, they always seem at ease with me, and i always seem to know what they are trying to say but ideas not words, does that count?

Yup smile I have that as well. I dont always understand what they are saying, but i can get enough to have a general idea of what they are thinking.

I ask because i have difficulty, once a link is established, to sever it, politly or otherwise. I have tried my cat, my beta fish, and the neighbor's dog's (STOP BARKING PLEASE!! biggrin ). I can understand them and they me, but when i thank them and try to leave, the cord lengthens as i walk away, stopping me from breaking the connection.
How do i fix this? Does it even need fixing? I would like it to be. For the last day or two i have been hearing the thoughts of all 5 (three dogs) animals throughout the day.
Just a sidenote, when i cast spells the magic "sticks" to my hand, wand, staff, or whatever and won't actually leave me unless I'm in reletive hysterics. What do i do about that?" Adam bows courtously, "I thank you in advance for your help. Blessed be."

I believe you need to cleanse yourself and your tools in a rite. There is possibly a build up of negative energies in your mind that you may be unaware of. This could be the cause of the issues. The link should not extend to you after you try to cut it unless the other side is trying to connect to you. If they are trying to connect to you still, the link may not break until they are ready to break the link. But i am thinking it is a build up of negative energies that has dulled the focus of your mind. Everything should cut smoothly and cleanly.

Okay, have you noticed any other energies being pulled to you? Like if you touch someone, do they become either more relaxed or just lacking in energy to do anything? Do you seem to take on the emotions or personalities of others around you more so than just acting as the crowd acts? This could be something more serious than just needing to cleanse. I just wanted to make sure that it'sn't. (double contraction!) I have alot of the same problems breaking links, but I make links instinctively and usually don't want to break them. But my links are a little different than communication of words or thoughts. Please let me know and merry part, -Rhuki

I am a magiakl black hole, and i dont like it. so yes, in answer to your questions. Zionia, i did a smuging last night and it still didnt go away, it weakened, but it didnt go away. Why would negitive energy cause the links to stay anyway? Wouldnt that break them more easily? Blessed Be, Adam

negative energy does many things. It does generally make it hardder to form the magick you are trying to use, but it can also make your magick work incorrectly. Or make it sticky. I will see if there is another explination for these later. I do not have time today unfourtunately.

phew...i didnt want to feel like the bad guy on that one...but please refrain from using quote towers...it is so hard to try to read through them...especially if you are dislexic, and if your attention span is extending (makes you read everything you see, and not necisarilly in the correct order)...so please only quote what is necissary.
