It had been only a few days since Blood had come to Hatters Hole and so far he had done well to keep her away and hidden whilst he debated if it was safe yet to let her out of his site. He just wanted her all to himself for a while. However today was special, they were going back to check on the rose garden were they had made most of their memories together. It was strange retuning to the strange land that he left long ago. It made her happy though and as long as that was the case he was happy. He had planned now to let his heart cling to her so easy, however these few days had reminded him just how much he loved being around her. He felt like he was getting ahead of himself. He smiled looking down at the pretty little mare by his side. A warm glow to his usually cold a sinister eyes. Almost there. "You okay my dear?"

Dice was just bursting with happiness, a warm and loving smile caressed her lips, her eyes wandering around the surroundings realizing how plain they were compared to the Heartland, unless it was Hatters Hole, then nothing could compare. She hadn't seen the rose garden in such a long time and still from her memories she could feel in her step how much she loved being there. All the more special because Blood was taking time out of his work just to take her there and they could spend the day together just like they used to. A blush cropped to her cheeks at the thought. The days she had been with him in this new land had caused her feelings to grow much stronger for him than she had before and she never thought that could happen. He was so special to her, he always made sure she was ok, safe and was happy and so far no voilence other than the routine happenings with his staff. They made her laugh they were so cute when they were being teased. It was alls he could of asked for.

Her eyes took to his softly. "I am thank you. I can't wait to see the roses again. I hope they're just as beautiful as before." Dice knew this was hard for him, going back to where sadness was still lingering but she hoped she would make a good distraction, this time it would be her turn to make sure he was happy. "It's been a long time... We used to have tons of fun there." She winked, chuckling.

׺°”˜`”°º× ׺°”˜`”°º×

Blood smiled and looked at her, before looking on, it was not far and he could almost smell it. The sweet sent that only one compared to. He was also looking forward to this and hoped his absence had not meant they had all withered. Maybe let to grow free would just make them even more beautiful. Its what happened to Dice after all. He nodded and looked over at her as she poke. "I am sure we will have just as much fun today." He smiled warmly and gave a small nod. He was happy she seemed to cherish those old memories just as much as he did. It was one time in his life that he could say he was truly happy. He let his eyes drift back down the path, the birds singing happily as if to welcome them home. He leaned his head down, picking a long colorful flower out of the ground and leaning over to put it behind her ear.

׺°”˜`”°º× ׺°”˜`”°º×

Dice hoped he was right, that it would be just like before or even better. She was still smiling at him, warmly with her eyes upon his frame as he walked. She paused in step. What was he doing? She tilted her head as he leaned towards the ground and picked a pretty flower from the terrain nearing her. Her blush never had the chance to fade around him, he would always do something sweet or say something that would make her heart throb for him to be hers. She looked up at him as he placed the flower neatly into her raven coloured hair, with an appreciative smile. Like all the other moments she would favor this one too. "Your so sweet, Blood." She chuckled lightly and out stretched her neck to nuzzle his cheek. They were almost there and her heart began to flutter at the familiarity. Her heart had truly missed everything about this land.

׺°”˜`”°º× ׺°”˜`”°º×

Blood smiled as she nuzzled him, giving her a easy look. "And you are so beautiful." he added. Closing his bright blue eyes as they wondered up the hill to his rose garden, a smile warming his face. They were fine, and just as wonderful as ever, he wondered towards his roses and lowered his nose to take a smell of one. They smelt just as sweet as he remembered, however he smelt something else. He froze slightly, he knew that smell anywhere, fish. He raised his head, his eyes widening seeing something pink and fluffy not too far away. He could not beleive the nerve of that mangy animal!

׺°”˜`”°º× ׺°”˜`”°º×

Dice laughed at his compliment. "Awwh." a smile held as they wandered up the hill as soon as the red roses reached sight she trotted off towards them in rememberence. Stopping by a goup of them as they glistened. Blood's roses could never be beaten. His garden had so much pride, so much strength that they hadn't allowed his absense to affect them at all. They had hope, just as them too did. She looked over at Blood, watching him also dig straight in to the relaxing aroma of the garden however, his gaze directed past her, making her jaw drop slightly and a turned gaze towards the same direction. Oh no... Why, why would he be here? Boris...

׺°”˜`”°º× ׺°”˜`”°º×

Boris had been wandering boredly and aimlessly since that night and then the return to Heartland where he had confessed how he felt to Madoka, then their argument about wanting different things for the future, resulting in their break-up had only wounded him deeper. He had taken a trip to the rose garden where before would of only been a mystery to him until the Hatter's left to find home in the Kawani. It was left in such loneliness and it was sad enough to comfort him. It had an air about it that just let you have your space and clear your mind. Somewhere to be alone and a romantic spot to say the least. He never imagined to bump in to him and her together the one time he had decided to come here. A frown slipped onto his maw, hurt in his eyes as he stared towards Blood and Dice. He grit his teeth. That idiot hatter! He knew what he was doing. He wouldn't allow it. Not for it to be like before, ever. He stepped forwards pinning his amber slits towards the mafia boss.

׺°”˜`”°º× ׺°”˜`”°º×

Blood watched the cat as he moved. A frown coming onto his face, he was not going to let this damn cat ruin today! He marched towards him, standing just meters away from the over grown fur ball. "What are you doing here cat? this is still my land, go back to your amusements!" he snapped. When ever Blood and Boris got together sparks seemed to fly. Was it the game or just some natural disliking to him that Blood was born with. His hat shadowed his blue eyes and what was once a warm look changed back to the sinister look which fueled them most of the time. He was not going to let him take her back, not after how amazing the last few days were.

׺°”˜`”°º× ׺°”˜`”°º×

Boris glared back at him, tail twitching at the back. "What about you? You left this land, your home is here no longer. So what's to say I can't Blood? If you're not around to stop me." A grin formed on his face, he liked to provoke him to show the dark hearted stallion that he was. His eyes fell across to Dice softly. He never wanted to hurt her the last time her eyes had so much sorrow she left and they had just got her back or by the looks of it Blood was leading her in to one of his love traps. He wouldn't allow him to repeat himself even if it was inevitable. "What sick ideas do you have now? You better not hurt her hatter." He stated, hissing.

׺°”˜`”°º× ׺°”˜`”°º×

Dice shook her head as they met in the middle of the garden. No, they couldn't do this! Not again. She didn't want to see blood shed here, it was the only time peace existed. "Guys, please stop! Will you two just step down from your high horses. It's not supposed to be like this." She pleaded as she made her way up to them, looking between their eyes with her eyebrows knitted together. She worried for their safety when they were together. Either of them only had to make one wrong move and the others clock would be broke. Her eyes quivered as she looked at Blood. This was the one day she was looking forward to the most and she knew, he had been eager too she didn't want to see it ruined but now Boris was here she didn't want to see them die, either.

׺°”˜`”°º× ׺°”˜`”°º×

"I am not thinking about hurting her CAT, you on the other hand." He growled, How dare he no matter where he was this was his home and he would not have his common paws on the land that had belonged to his family for generations. No matter if he was here or not, this place was special to him and he would not stand for this. His glare left the eyes of Boris to look down at Dice. the fact this cat looked at her in such a way REALLY ticked him off. "Well tell him to go, this is our garden, what right does he have to ruin this?" he pouted, arching his eyebrows. Today was going to be perfect, oh why did everything always have to go wrong?

׺°”˜`”°º× ׺°”˜`”°º×

Dice raised her eyebrow looking to the side a little. "She has a name." She mumbled before looking back at him, knowingly. She knew how he felt and he was right, she looked at Boris feeling cruel sending him away but today had been promised just him and her and no one else. She didn't want it to be messed up, it should have been perfect. She sighed looking up at the pink and black kitty, her ears folded back. "Boris..." She mentioned. "Please, can you leave us alone?" It sounded harsh, she wished she could take it back but if she didn't Blood would get ideas and she didn't want that not when things were going so well. "This is his home, he raised this garden." She walked till she was stood next to Blood, peering from the shadow of his neck. "I'm sorry."

׺°”˜`”°º× ׺°”˜`”°º×

Boris felt aweful. Like he had been shot by a gun and had his clock-heart shattered into a million pieces. He watched her, take his side with distaste and rejection and looked away from them both. Anger concealed him inside, why the damn hatter when he offered everything she ever needed. The affection, the time together everything! He didn't understand. Nice guys always finished last. He sighed peering back at the hatter with ears flat to his head. His usual glow faded and he motioned to a twist silently to wander away from them. He would never forgive him but he wouldn't give up now he knew where she was. Blood had a lot more coming to him.

׺°”˜`”°º× ׺°”˜`”°º×

Blood's eyes narrowed as he saw the cat walk off. That must have been the least bloodiest meeting they both had. He turned his back to the cat and wondered back over to his roses, tainted with the smell of fish. Why had he left them unwatched? He wondered as a small sigh left his lips. He hated that damn cat, he always had and always would as long as their was a chance that he could take Dice away from him, he still thought... he had that chance. "They have not been damaged much, just like before almost." he mumbled to her. His mind clearly in the clouds. His attitude dampened some.

׺°”˜`”°º× ׺°”˜`”°º×

Dice watched as Boris left, his back a taunting picture leaving her overflowing with more guilt. She took a minute as Blood already left her side and was tending to his precious roses. It was obvious he was upset and now she had to figure a way to bring his loving, sweet side back. She turned slowly and walked till she was a mere few steps away from him. Tilting her head she cast him a warm expression and whispered his name to catch his spaced attention. "Blood..?" There was something she did want him to know which would hopefully pull him back in to the mood.

׺°”˜`”°º× ׺°”˜`”°º×

Blood, took in a deep breathe and forced a happier expression on his face. Turning to look over his shoulder and face the beautiful mare who had graced him with her company. "Yes, m'dear?" he asked with a kind look to his eye, he needed to pull himself out of it, he still had the company of the women he loved and he would not let that cat ruin it any more than he already had, he turned to face her, tilting his head.

׺°”˜`”°º× ׺°”˜`”°º×

For a moment she was at a loss of words, looking to the side and biting on her lip. Her heart said yes and her mind said be cautious. She didn't want to jepordise what she already had with him and unknowing what his reaction would be, scared her. He could be smug or he could lose interest or he could actually be happy and feel the same way. When the silence built up her courage and a faint pink rose to her dark pelt she stepped forwards, calm blue eyes sliding to his as she put her nose against his own and spoke softly. "I love you."

׺°”˜`”°º× ׺°”˜`”°º×

Blood smiled tilting his head, wondering why she was acting so shy around him, totally taken off guard by her words as a mass of pink and red flooded his white face, he turned around clearing his throat and in general trying to recover from the arrow that just hit him. He turned to face her once more, blue eyes looking straight back into hers. For once his charisma failing beyond the point of recovery. "I - love you too Dice." He let out, however no words after that seemed to follow nor actions did his body obey. He was a true deer in the headlights.

׺°”˜`”°º× ׺°”˜`”°º×

Dice watched him blankly, anxious as he turned his head away. He was totally taken back from it. She didn't move from her spot and her eyes followed his movements till he looked back at her, her ears fell back and then he spoke and they retracted once more, to an up-right position. Her eyes widened. H-he did? A smile spread from ear to ear happily and she pushed herself forward when he froze, unable to act after he said he loved her too, rubbing her neck under his and then looking back over her shoulder at him.

"I'm glad" She chuckled before trotting off further into the garden, tail swaying behind her. "C'mon Blood, theres more fun that awaits us and it won't happen standing around!"

A blush was still heavily structured upon her face but now she knew, she just wanted them to have a good time. Her heart was racing so fast it could have jumped right out of her chest but it was a good sign. Now she knew she could trust him and today, with no blood being spilt whether that was because of Boris' actions or his. It made her feel a little better.

׺°”˜`”°º× ׺°”˜`”°º×

Blood watched the mare and smiled, following her actions with his eyes, giving her some strange form of horse hug as she came close to him. "Indeed, there is fun to be had, what would you like to do? your wish is my desire m'dear." He smiled and nodded, just getting back after the shock she had just given him, he thought he had a heart attack, he really did and was taking deep breathes in a attempt to calm the colour of his face. This truely was, unquestionably the best day of his life. "... Thank you." he mumbled outloud to himself.

׺°”˜`”°º× ׺°”˜`”°º×

Dice thought about it a moment rolling her eyes up to the sky and fumbling her lips into a pouting form, concentrating on what they should do whilst they were here. She looked back at him with an innocent look before shrugging her shoulders and giggling a little. "I think we should do what Blood wants to do today, it's always what I want to do. I'd be much happier if you chose."

She halted in her steps when she came to another set of rose bushes, brushing her nose along the soft silky petals. She wondered what a bedding made of them would feel like. The best nights sleep ever she agreed on before looking back to her lover. She was so overwhelmed by that one moment although she was trying to make a distraction she could of not wished for anything better than that. It was so perfect it was just taking the chance. He had grown a lot since then.

׺°”˜`”°º× ׺°”˜`”°º×

Before anyone had time to do a thing about what was going to happen. Boris had watched the scene play, hidden within the bushes. He was torn to pieces inside. How could she do that to him? He felt like a hole had openeed up inside him, leaving him an empty shell to everything real and emotional. That hatter was dead and he would prove what a lowlife murderer he trully was before he took her and did what he wanted with no thought about the consequences. She had made a mistake, she shouldn't of picked him. It was all wrong and he was so undeniably jeaous that he began to shiver. His skin crawling. That's it, Blood was dead to him and he was going to make that a fact. Boris leaped out of the bushes he was hiding in and tackled the gambling mad man; lunging directly into his side with no restraint. He would protect Dice no matter what the cost and he would do what he should of done a long time ago to this evil fiend, regardless of protest.

׺°”˜`”°º× ׺°”˜`”°º×

Blood smiled and looked at dice, however before he could even open his mouth he felt himself get t-boned. His blue eyes darting to see the wall of pink. He gritted his teeth and growled. Then something, something in the back of his head which had never ticked before clicked.

She never wanted this.

He fell to his side letting the cat tackle him to the ground with little to no resistance. She never wanted them to fight, its why she ran away in the first place. He loved her, more than anything. However she did not want him to hurt Boris. If he did it would drive her away again and he was not going to let that happen. If he had to die to prove he loved her than he would. However he would not live with himself knowing that she would never truly love him. She never would if he killed him.

He knew, for some reason he knew. This was the right thing to do.

׺°”˜`”°º× ׺°”˜`”°º×

That moment didn't last, the excitement, the fluttering butterflies. Everything. Her head turned at the mighty thud, Boris loomed over Blood with eyes full of hurt and dispair. Jealousy lined them and she could see the intent to hurt Blood. She gasped, her eyes wide filled with shock. She spun and let her legs carry her quickly over towards them but stopped a way away from them both.

"BLOOD!" She cried, biting down hard on her lip as anger grabbed her throat and eyes targeted the pink kitty. "Boris! What are you doing!? Don't hurt him! I will NEVER forgive you if you do..."

Worry filled her heart and her lungs tightened as Blood just continued to lay there. He wasn't retaliating. Was he doing this... For her? She shook her head as her hair flew around her in a whirl of onyx strands. Strangely she knew this is what she wanted but - she didn't want him hurt. She knew beyond Boris' kind-hearted exterior that he had potential to do some serious damage.

She walked closer, taking her time, not wanting to push him in to doing anything stupid. "Please?" Dice pleaded.

׺°”˜`”°º× ׺°”˜`”°º×

Boris turned his head, a sad look compressed to his features. Why? Why did she care so much about this heartless stallion? He would do or say anything to keep her interested, to have another heart to break. In all his life, that's all he ever had seen him do. Leave another mare crying to his selfish view on life. He looked down at the defenseless hatter. He wasn't retaliating. So this is what it had come down to.

"Not today Dice. I've stood back and watched too long, I don't want you to suffer anymore. you're making a mistake..." He retorted, just wanting to look out for her. She had meant too much to him to let her go through everything again; he didn't realise that there was something true between them.

He lifted his hoof and put it to Blood's neck, pressing down harder, little by little.

׺°”˜`”°º× ׺°”˜`”°º×

"You stupid damn cat, think about it the only reason she is suffering is because you will not let her be. If you really cared for her Boris you would leave her the hell alone and let her be happy!" Hw squeaked through gasps of air as he looked at him with gritted teeth, it would becoming hard to breathe yet he remained still. He was not going to have her run away again, this was going to end here and now, forever. "I dare you, you damn cat!.... kill me now... see if she could ever love you then. Your a monster Boris, not the fun loving feline she once loved. Look at yourself!" He stated, before he could not breathe anymore. Every breathe he took was shallow. Not enough air to form words.

׺°”˜`”°º× ׺°”˜`”°º×

Boris glared down at him, his rage unbearable. He kept searching till he found her eyes, how much pain this was causing her. His ears flattened. He was the monster, for once Blood was right. He was in too much of a pathetic state, even for Boris to bare. He was stronger than that. He wouldn't be the coward just because of another mans pitty.

With a huff, he raised his hoof and turned, flicking his tail. "This wont be the last either of you see of me. I'll be keeping my eye out, Blood. One wrong move and it's the end of the line for you. That's a promise. " He sighed, again losing someone that was so close to him just mentally confused him to no end.

What was he going to do now? He had nowhere. No. He made a promise and he was going to keep it. Just because he hasn't killed him doesn't mean he couldn't piss him off to no end and try win a chance at her heart. His and Madoka's argument still stung him and he missed her, like crazy but, they wanted two different things and he couldn't find an answer to that. Not just yet. This made a good distraction and it would help ease his mind. He walked off for the last time and left them to their intentions. Not sparing Dice even one last look.

׺°”˜`”°º× ׺°”˜`”°º×

Dice's eyes welled up with water as Boris made his way away from them. She rushed to Bloods side seeing the grazes their local pink kitty had caused upon his ivory coat. She lowered her head, arching her neck till she could near his muzzle and nuzzle him lovingly.

"Are you okay Blood?"
She asked worriedly, licking at his cheek.

Out of all the while she had known Boris, he had never gone this far. He was usually very understanding about these things. Something was bothering him, she could see that. Even ifit was her, he wasn't like that before. What was going on with him? She wondered, although she had more important issues at hand here. He could have killed Blood and what she had said, she meant. She would have never forgiven him. Ever. If he had.

She gave Blood a smile in comfort, one as sweet as a cupcake; lowering to a lay at his side.

׺°”˜`”°º× ׺°”˜`”°º×

Blood coughed and took in a deep breathe as the damn cat finally left. It was a good thing too, he was starting to feel light headed because of the lack of oxygen. He got to his feet slowly. Not as much because he was injured than the fact the head rush caused by the blood rushing back to his head was putting him slightly off balance. Deep down he felt like he had won. However a small, very small, part of him felt sorry for Boris. After all he must be feeling like he felt after Carmine left him. He sighed and leaned down to pick up his hat which had fallen off of him when he was tackled, going his usual trick of throwing it back on his head.

His eyes then went to Dice. She seemed very worried indeed. The words of the cat sunk into his heart and even though Boris could not hear Blood he did reply. More to himself than anyone else.

"Don't you worry. I will take very good care of her."

She smiled and bowed his head nuzzling her cheek lovingly. He knew he did right. Something in his soul told him from now on everything was going to be okay. That it was finally over. It put a smile on his face.

"I am fine Dice, never been better. Its over now. Everything is going to be okay"

He mentioned looking into her eyes. A soft glimmer showing in his.

"Now Miss Dice Eliza Quinn, even though you have only been back in my life for a little time. I hope I have shown to you how much I care. I do not want to leave you again Dice... Will you marry me?"

׺°”˜`”°º× ׺°”˜`”°º×

Dice chuckled as she watched his little hat trick. The nickname he had suited him to no ends. 'The mad hatter.' She could completely agree with that. Her face lit up with happiness as he confirmed that he was okay, sending a faded pink blush scattering across her cheeks at his endearing nuzzle.

His eyes. He looked at her like she was everything to him. She gulped, she had never in her whole life seen this side of him and she couldn't help but shyly look back at him, her feelings taking over her and returning his gaze with one of awe.

She listened carefully and remained quiet... HE WHAT? Dice felt like a dead stone weight had hit her! She was paralyzed, her features flaring up with violent shades of red and her ears raised, forwarded in such shock! Her breathing became hard and she had to take a minute to calm herself. Taking one deep breath and exhailing it.

Her blue eyes took to his deeper ones and she got to her feet once again, brushed her head under his and rubbed her neck against his side. "There is no one other I would rather be with, Blood, than you." A warm smile embraced her features, his own warm craddling her in comfort. She knew everything would be okay. She knew that from the night of their reunion and she would know that for as long as they both shall live. "I would love to marry you."
