I'm thinking of applying for the CLS program this year (http://www.clscholarship.org/). I'm only eligible for the beginner level languages, as I haven't studied any of these languages extensively enough to meet their proficiency requirements. The ones I'm looking at most seriously are Korean or Turkish, but all of them (Azerbaijani, Bangla/Bengali, Hindi, Indonesian, Punjabi, Urdu) are potentially interesting. I have no idea how many people generally apply or what my odds are at being accepted to any one of them (or whether my choice would influence my odds), so I thought I'd open it up as a poll.

I'm so glad you posted this, otherwise I wouldn't have found out about it in time. 3nodding I applied to study Turkish. Which did you end up choosing?
