Eh. Not me. My main's an airbender xD I'll make another character someday but I'm still trying to figure out what role he'll play; I'm not even struggling with element yet !
Oh. Waterbenders have bloodbending, Earthbenders have metalbending and Firebenders have ''lightning''. What sort of "purified" or "alternate" Airbenders got ? I doubt it's "soundbending", just doesn't look impressive.

Chakra bending ? Although Airbenders are spiritual "bouddhists" it could be easier for them to unlock their chakras but I don't see how bending comes into that.

Isn't Airbending enough? You can control a mostly-invisible force and can blow people away. You can fly and do all these cool stuff. Airbenders are naturally peaceful and playful; they use their Airbending to play and travel. Not much use for fighting.

Yeah, but that's unique to the Avatar. The lion-turtle gave the ability to Aang only because he was the Avatar and really needed the ability.
Airbenders simply have air. Oh wait, that came out wrong. sweatdrop

Yeah I know but I love to check out opinions. Isn't it a chatroom ? So we're free to talk about what we want right ? There could be a lot of talks about bending. Earthbenders can't do anything with wood and Waterbenders need water although the air can be sucked dry just like we saw in ''The Puppetmaster'' episode. Can Airbenders airbend just anywhere ? Well that's true since you can't really remove "air". Firebending follows the same rule, what would be the use of an oxygen-less environment ? Also, I really love videos like this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UfDk3I6di5E

Well, wood isn't as hard as (some) rocks, and Waterbenders probably need a sufficient amount of water in order to "bend" it. You can just go around plucking microscopic droplets from seemingly nowhere. I don't think real-world science and physics applies the Avatar World; you saw how some characters jump higher than normal and the whole concept of controlling these elements are contradictory to science.
