"Mom let us go!" Namu, the lighter pup, cried in disbelief. She couldn't fathom why her mother agreed to let the two sisters wander off by themselves. Didn't parents normally fret and worry when their kids wandered off on their own? Didn't they fear what their pups might get into whilst their parents were absent? Hallie's reaction had been a complete surprise to both pups when they had voiced their desire to wander off without their mother. She had actually smiled--smiled!--and said that it was perfectly fine. They just had to watch out for strangers and come straight back if they felt that something was going wrong. Those weren't even difficult demands!

Deka, the darker pup, only nodded. She wasn't really one for words. Mostly, she stayed quiet and let her sister do most of the talking. Which was, really, how they both liked it. Namu loved the spotlight, and Deka liked just being around others. She didn't need to say anything to get joy from the presence of others.

"Geez, show a little enthusiasm," Namu chided, nipping lightly at her sister's side. Deka growled quietly back.

Shaking her head, the lighter pup moved on to more important matters. Their bickers were petty, and she wasn't in the mood to pay much attention to her sister today. They finally had some freedom, and she wasn't about to go wasting it doing what they normally did back at the den.

"Let's go this way!" she suddenly called, darting suddenly to the left. Her sister was quick to follow, her slightly shorter limbs carrying her just as easily as her sister's longer and thicker ones did. But Namu wouldn't stand for competition, no matter what she thought earlier about not wanting to fight with her sister today. She quickened her pace, pushing herself a little harder. Deka matched her. Namu growled, snapping at her again. Her teeth clicked together ominously.

"Give up, Deka," she called, her words winded as she attempted to keep her breath while running. Deka shook her head, and that was enough for Namu to launch herself at her sister. The two went tumbling sideways, and instantly they were fighting, each trying to get the upper hand. They were so preoccupied, they didn't notice their surroundings at all.

I need to get his pup image >.>]

The red pup had not wandered far from home. He knew the constant worry his mother would have over his going too far..and the punishment that would come from father. He was quick to accept such things, and so he stayed somewhat close to home. He didn't have alot of freedom, as he was a Reign of Terror pup. Some would cut off their own tongue to get to kill a pup of the darkest pack in the area.

Not that the male cared. He was a mean enough snake in himself that he didnt have to worry about such trivial things as death. Death was always a possiblity, and he had been raised to be aware of it.
Nessus smiled darkly, his eyes gleaming with a bit of mischeif. Oh how he loved the power he felt coursed through his veins. He was truly his fathers son, a dark soul that liked the fact he was dark. Nessus had a bit more of a narcissistic streak however, and truly liked to think himself better than most. Excepting the Alphas of course, but he knew he was greater than his siblings. He'd tell them every now and again how much greater he was, only to be scoffed and ridiculed at such thoughts. He couldnt help that he was better!

Red markings licked his legs as if he had veins that appeared through the bloodred pelt he had. His father, shaman of blood, had given him such a regal look..Such a truly dark, scary look.

He arched his eyebrows, the white above his eyes lifting when he saw the two pups running. It was odd to see pups alone out here.. Well..except for him. But he belonged here, something these two clearly did not..

"You there! Youre tresspassing!" He growled.

Both girls stopped fighting immediately as they heard a not-so-nice voice yelling at them for... trespassing? Wouldn't their mother have told them if they had gone near any other pack? Or, did she not even know? The sisters glanced at each other, Namu looking down as Deka looked up, being pinned against the cold earth. Their mother had warned them to stay away from strangers, and to go straight back to her if anything seemed off. But this was just another pup! Surely there couldn't be any harm in talking with him for just a little while.

The light pup stepped off of her smaller sister, standing in front of her and intentionally blocking her from the view of the other pup. It wasn't a protective gesture, but was rather one that made it certain that she would be the center of his vision, not her runt sister.

"What did you say?" she challenged, fur bristling slightly. He looked a little scary, she had to admit. It wasn't because he was unusually large or had some scars or whatever. Rather, it was the look on his face that made him appear fearsome. But she refused to back down. Mother had been teaching them to fend for themselves, since they didn't have a pack to protect them, and she wasn't going to let some strange pup shove her and her sister around.

Deka seemed to come to the same conclusion as, a few seconds later, she rose to her paws and went to stand shoulder to shoulder with her sister. It was obvious which one consider herself in charge, and which one might be the weakest link.

"This isn't your land," Namu shot at the other pup, although she actually wasn't quite certain about that. But the words were out of her mouth, and she couldn't call them back now. Deka backed her up, however, with just a slight nod of her head. They were in this together.

He chuckled, shaking his head as if the pups surely knew nothing. He liked making others feel truly low, and that maybe, just maybe, they might actually be dumb to the situation.

"Do you even know where you are?" He asked, his voice coming out like a snakes tongue would hiss at them. He was a poisonous fellow, and he felt bad the two sisters had to run into him.
But he looked the stronger one over, and smiled, before looking to the other. So she was the weak one.. She may have been trying to stand tall, but he could tell she was indeed the one that would be the easiest to fight.
Which made her a target he didnt care to challenge. Looking to the older sister however, he chuckled once more.
Eyes daring her to move and come at him.

"Whose to say these arent my lands? I bet that with one call, Id have an entire pack here to defend me, ready to take you two as slaves."
He mused, though he knew that the pack might hear him, theyd not come running to the sound of the pup yelling for backup for two pups. Theyd not waste their time..But they didnt have to know that.

"You are in dangerous lands, to try and challenge me, sweetness." He responded, though he had no interest in females in any way. He may like to toy with them, but he saw them as..ultimately, weak.

Namu snorted at the other pup's question, for lack of a better response. The two sisters never really knew where they were. Their mother moved them around a lot, and never gave any names to the places that they temporarily made their homes. It helped to not get so attached to the various locations, and also instilled the habit of not really caring whether where they were was named anything special. It just never occured to them to ask about it.

"Like it matters," she spoke quickly, loudly, to cover her lack of knowledge. It certainly didn't seem like this pup was keeping the company of vicious wolves, but then again who was she to judge? She hadn't ever met another wolf outside of her sister and mother, and so she was a poor judge of character at this point. Nevertheless, she decided that she didn't like this wolf at all. He threatened them when they hadn't even done anything towards him! If he hadn't so rudely interrupted, Namu might have taught her sister a lesson about challenging her. Now she had to challenge this pup, just to be able to stand where she was.

"Our mother will defend us," Deka spoke up, her voice quiet after her sister's outburst. For some reason that she couldn't explain, she knew for certain that their mother would come for them at their greatest time of need. It was a strange feeling, and she wasn't quite sure where it came from, but it was there all the same. Namu glared at her sister for speaking, but didn't argue. She, too, felt that her mother had the ability to find them at their worst and bring them back from the brink.

"So let them try," Namu taunted, in response to his conviction that he could have a pack of wolves surrounding them with just a simple call. Her ears strained forward and her tail arched over her back, showing her courage against his antagonism.

"But who says we're challenging you?" she continued, lowering her stance slightly. This was all very strange for her. She never had to talk to anyone except for her Hallie and Deka, her mother and sister. It surprised her that she should show such boldness and defiance at her first meeting with another wolf. But she took confidence from it, and puffed her chest slightly. "We were just minding our own business."

Deka rolled her eyes, showing how little she thought of their eariler antics. Namu ignored her, somewhat glaring at the other pup now.
