[OT] Breaking the Rose Tint (*********]

The city was a mess. Whatever had happened to cause the overwhelming amount of Youma to attack while a decent chunk of the populous was in the hospital in a comatose state had timed everything so well. Obviously the Negaverse was taking advantage of the situation.

Times were desperate, and it was obvious that Senshi couldn't just go it alone anymore. At least, that was what ********* had decreed. When Sailor Iris was unable to patrol with Sailor Metis, ********* did everything she could to locate another Senshi nearby and guide the blonde to them. It was better to work with even a temporary team than to fight the monsters alone.

Today was no exception.

"Turn left here" said the rather furry GPS in the Senshi of Rainbows' arms. As the tomboy grudgingly did as told, she reassured the tall girl with a simple "She's close. I can tell."

"Yeah, yeah," was the slightly sarcastic reply. "Let's jus' get this over with. Find someone t'work with, then kick some Youma a**!" This senshi took her job as an exterminator of random monsters rather seriously, yet the expression on her face seemed to be annoyed. Why was she always being treated like a baby? Sailor Iris was stronger than nearly any senshi she had ever paired up with before. All of these other Senshi were dragging her down, or at least that was her perspective on the whole ordeal.

"You know, you use less muscles when you smile, Iris." The blonde could easily feel the manx cat in her arms bump her head against her chest, and even if she couldn't see it, that bell collar about the feline's neck was always a telltale sound.

"Shut the f*ck up, cat!"

"Can't give you directions if I 'shut the f*ck up' as you phrased it."

Sailor Iris couldn't help but let out a groan.

Sailor Scheat had gotten the cats text and happily had responded with a big yes. The girl had a fond spot for the little tail-less cat, especially considering the cat was both cute and had awakened her as a senshi. The girl henshined up as soon as she had left her dorms, figuring it was safer to travel as frilly yellow suited sailor soldier than it was to travel as a civilian. Besides, she loved her sailor costume anyways, and loved to be in it.

Her heels clicked against the pavement as she moved to the appointed meeting place. Scheat quickly saw the cat in the arms of Sailor Iris. "Hey guys!" Her cheery smile lit up the dingy alleyway. "Its good to see you again ********* and Iris. And Iris, I love your bows even more every time I see them." The sailor was jealous of Iris's iridescent rainbow bows. They were beautiful! "I hope when I get better at this, I can get bows like that."

The girl gave a polite shrug before leaning forward to scratch ********* behind the ears. She loved how affectionate the cat was. "So where are we going to patrol today? I'm happy to have someone to patrol with after all this stuff has been going down in the city." Scheat was a bit scared, to be honest. More youma, negaversers, and evil was running around the city than ever before. The young sailor was glad to have a more experienced escort. She felt safe, patrolling with Iris and ********* class="postcontent-align-center" style="text-align: center">

Nobody could accuse Sailor Iris of being affectionate. The moment she got a chance, she shoved the cat into the other senshi's arms. "There, ya can have that fer now." There was a pause as Scheat dared to compliment the atrocious bow adorning the Senshi of Rainbows' butt.

"Oh, ya like it, eh? 'Ere, ya can have it!" Since her arms were free, she rather easily reached behind her and began to rip the bow's tails off in a clean and well-practiced manner. Soon enough, two thick iridescent ribbons were being held out to this girl.

Rather than dwell on how obnoxious a certain Senshi of Rainbows was being, the cat instead adjusted to her new perch. She rubbed her head up against the girl's bosom, and when scratched behind the ears, oh, how ********* did lean into that splendid feeling.

"I apologize that Iris is being such a little brat right now, Scheat."

Iris let out a somewhat muffled snort of amusement.

"Since we are here, let's start with patrolling around this area and then moving on out. Does that sound find with you Scheat?"

Sailor Iris didn't get a say in the matter.

A few more amused snorts escaped the blonde before she had to approach the other yellow-suited senshi with a big grin.

"So... is it okay if I call ya 'sh*t' instead?"

"IRIS!" the cat said in the closest she'd get to a scolding tone.

"WHAT?!! Scheat... Sh*t... they sound too similar!!! I mean, how many times have ya accidentally called yerself 'Sailor Sh*t' instead of Scheat?" Golden eyes were on the other girl's face.

The cat shook her head a bit and sighed. "I can't take her anywhere without her embarrassing me."

"Oh." The younger girl blinked as two torn pieces of fuku where shoved into her arms, along with the cat that had awoken her. Both of these she was fine with after her initial shock. Shuffling the cat a bit, she tied the two ribbons in a neat little bow around her wrist. They were probably going to disappear when Iris de-henshined, but they were pretty for now at least!

Moving the cat back to center stage, she gave ********* much deserved affection. Scheat hadn't seen the cat since her awakening, after all. "Its alright *********. Iris is who Iris is." She nodded seriously at her bit of Confucianism. Breaking her seriousness, she let out another of her smiles. "Of course it is! I'm up for whatever."

Sailor Scheat blinked her bright blue eyes a bit at Iris's quip about her sailor name. A bit of a pouty frown crossed her face before she turned away from the super sailor, stalking down the alley. "Just as you can't help the girly ribbons which you hate, I cannot help what star my powers derive from. I hope you remember how much you hate people making fun of your rainbows before you make fun of my name."

"Touching, I must say." A voice came from the shadows, the sound of a smile behind each word, "Such close ties between the senshi and their helpers I see. And here I thought it was the Negaverse that was called uncouth."

Sailor Tisiphone stepped forward, arms folded delicately in front of her, "It's been a while since I've seen a cat." Black eyes swung to the two bickering senshi, the smile tugging at her lips even further, "With rainbows and, what was it, Scheat?"

She wasn't, of course, going to make fun of them. Just by bringing them up she was sure they could imagine as many insults about it as they'd like to themselves, "Well then, with all the chaos that's been going around these days, lets say I ought to help buffer the sides and take your starseeds, yes?"

Sure she was greatly outnumbered, which she had always hated, but Tisiphone hoped that their teamwork, or lack thereof, might be to her advantage.

The Senshi of Rainbows laughed. It wasn't a sympathetic laugh, but more of a scornful, bitter laugh. She paced slightly, turning back to the smaller senshi with her stupid little wrist ribbons.

"That's a load'a sh*t, kid!"

The feline was about to scold Iris again for being so cruel, but instead, she seemed to freeze in place within Scheat's arms. It was rather unusual, but the manx's fur suddenly puffed up, as if she was startled. And in all honesty, she was.

Before a new senshi showed herself, ********* turned towards where she was about to approach from. It was as if she only suddenly sensed the new senshi, and the moment she revealed herself did the feline's ears fold back. This was not the right fuku. No, the girl had a gaping hole in the middle of her chest, just as Sailor Hel had.

The feline trembled within Scheat's arms as she thought of one name. Hel.

When the foreign voice spoke up, the Senshi of Rainbows spun around slowly to find another blonde. The tomboy didn't seem to look concerned at all. If she wanted to get defensive, she could have folded her arms across her chest. No, Sailor Iris instead just simple made two loose fists as if she was already getting ready to fight.

Without even looking back to her temporary partner, she called out "Hey, kid... ya ready t'kick some Negaverse a**?" A smile rather easily melted onto Iris' face.

Sailor Scheat could feel the change in *********. The cat tensed in her arms, and the girls gloved hand went instinctively up to try and sooth the cat with a bit of affection. It didn't seem to be working though.

In the meantime, the senshi was very, very confused. This other girl had a hole in her chest! Clearly, this wasn't something that was good. "Negaverse? But...wait." The girl blinked a few times, eyes moving back and forth between the super sailor soldier and the new girl. "But...she's a senshi! How on earth could she be with the negaverse?"

They were the champions of love and justice. They weren't allowed to be corrupt or evil, or work with the bad guys. Sailor Scheat was a firm believer in not crossing sides. Her blue eyes roamed the alley, looking for signs of a lieutenant or negaverser. It couldn't be the senshi Iris was talking about. It just couldn't.

The rainbow punk seemed ready for a fight, but the other senshi's expression was priceless. Tisiphone beamed, a small black orb now floating above the palm of her hand, "Sailor Tisiphone is the name. Hadn't you heard? Negaverse had a job fair the other day. Free cookies and all. Couldn't help myself."

Another grin, then as Tisiphone looked down to *********, "Oh? Looks like miss scaredy cat has seen one like me before?" She gave a pleased little sigh, "Well, shall I take down your names? I'll leave little sticky notes by your bodies for the authorities if you'd like."

Though ********* was the sort of cat who took insults rather well, Sailor Tisiphone's (as she was introduced) insult seemed to be the thing that the tailless cat needed to snap out of her momentary trance. No, now isn't the time to think of Sailor Hel.

In as firm a tone as she could muster (which wasn't exactly very firm at all), she gave the senshi she was being held by some information.

"This is what happens if the Negaverse catches you alive... you become their puppet." Sailor Hel had mentioned a red haired woman who had awakened her as a senshi. There was no cat involved, though ********* had heard rumors that there were felines on the opposing side as well.

Rather than remain a burden, the feline gave directions to the younger of the two girls. "Set me down so you can fight."

Though a smile remained upon her face, Iris' eyes easily noticed the black orb. It didn't look like something she wanted to tangle with. It was blacker than anything she had ever seen before, and she was the girl who wore a decent amount of black due to her taste in fashion. Though Tisiphone's sense of humor was something Iris totally got, the tall girl took a moment to show how she really felt.

With a deep, throaty Hhhhhhhhhhhhhck sound, she spat in the black suited senshi's direction. "I don't plan on losin'!" No, Iris wasn't going to give a name for the negaverse senshi. It wasn't as if she wouldn't figure it out soon enough anyways. Her right hand fist began to glow as she stood there, quickly gathering energy for an attack.

"A... corrupted senshi?" The sailor was still confused, but at least it still fell within her definitions of good and evil. After all, even angels could fall from grace. The girl set the puffed up cat on the ground, and turned to face the evil senshi. "I will do everything I can to save you! But for now, In the name of Scheat, I will punish you for your evil!" She posed dramatically. It was still so much fun to do! Sailor Scheat was still enjoying being a champion.

The appearance of the black orb was concerning to her. It looked powerful, and she didn't like the feeling it was giving her. Regardless, she would be tough! After all, she wasn't alone, and the powers of justice would prevail. "And if its all preferred, I plan on still being alive to give my own name! Good always triumphs over evil." It was a fact.

The dark senshi laughed, shaking her head at their foolishness. Spit was gross. She threw the orb just to the side of Sailor Iris, hoping the girl would dodge to the side to move away from it, meanwhile launching herself at the oh-so-innocent senshi, hoping that they might collide to avoid her fist. Sure it'd be easy enough for them to step back or duck, but at the moment, Tisiphone wasn't too keen on trying to estimate their abilities. She just wanted it done and over with before they wore her out.

It was really awkward to try and remain in a upright sitting position with the bulky cast covering her foreleg, but somehow ********* managed to make it work. Rather intently, she watched the action as it began to unfold. Fortunately, Iris was starting off with a simple Rainbow Ribbon rather than a slicer. That was a good sign, since the girl tended to get out of control on occasion. Scheat didn't prepare an attack, but her heart was in the right place.

From Sailor Iris' hand, a pale rainbow seemed to trail out, falling loosely to the ground while one end still remained within her grasp. It looked absolutely harmless.

From where ********* was sitting, she was easily able to read the actions of Sailor Tisiphone. It was one thing to be in the fight and focusing in on the small picture of how to defend yourself. It was another to be away from the fight and see each well thought out attack. One thing became pretty evident.

Sailor Tisiphone knew what she was doing.

"Sailor Iris, duck under that attack. Sailor Scheat, sharp on your feet!"

It was strange to have a black orb of what seemed to be nothingness floating in your direction. Natural instinct had initially pushed Iris to one side, but then the cat spoke up.

"God damn it, cat!" she groaned out before obediently doing as the cat requested. As Ellie, she was able to do well in fights, able to move on her feet at a moment's notice. Not perfect, but pretty good. It only made sense that Sailor Iris was just as talented at basic fighting tactics.

The black orb floated overhead as the Senshi of Rainbows ducked down onto her knees. With a single well-practiced motion, she threw her rainbow towards Tisiphone.

"Iris Rainbow Ribbon!"

Of course, Iris was still a bit in Sailor Scheat's way since she had ducked partially to the side.

Sailor Scheat was a dancer as a civilian, so it was fairly easy for her to be sharp on her feet. When the evil senshi had launched herself at the girl, though, she'd had precious few moments to react. Instead of catching the girl full on, like Tisiphone had intended, it was just a glancing blow on the shoulders; Scheat had stepped aside in preparation.

After the senshi had glanced off of her, she noticed Iris's rainbow ribbon cutting through the air. She'd managed to drop to the ground to avoid it, since it cut a little bit too close to her. The ground was scattered with a few pieces of broken glass, which cut her knees and palms up. "Owww...."

Picking herself up, the sailor managed to scramble away from the other girl, turning and going through the actions of her attack. Holding her arms open wide, she moved them inwards slowly concentrating her magic into a big bubble shape held between her hands. Seconds later she flung her arms open wide again, issuing an array of yellow bubbles. "Scheat bubbles POP!" She aimed the array at Tisiphone, hoping to hit skin.

After he attack was sent off, she turned to her hands and knees, trying to asses the damage of the cuts and scrapes.

Tisiphone had no idea what that colorful, seizure inducing ribbon might do, but seeing her teammate avoid it made Tisiphone even more careful in not wanting it to come into contact with her.

That was just fine with her, she could handle long distance attacks just as easily with her void. The dark senshi was about to create another one before the younger senshi threw out her attack. Bubbles? She arched a brow, stepping further back. Thankfully the only exposed skin was her face and a small portion of her arms, which the senshi found herself especially thankful for as the cursed bubbles touched her side. Her upper left arm was abruptly demanding much more attention than Tisiphone could afford to give it.

Hissing under her breath, Tisiphone shot an angry glare at the duo, throwing a void again. Aiming for the cat in the cast.

"*********, watch out!" She'd seen the evil girls intent in just enough time after looking up from her bloodied palms. Attempting one of her favorite movie dives, she ran as fast as she could towards the little purple cat. Jumping and flinging herself forward, she managed to skid and grab the guardian cat before the black nothingness hit her.

Unfortunately for the sailor, fuku's provided little to no protection against road rash. Her boots stopped some of them, but along with her bleeding palms and knees joined scraped legs and arms as well. She also, not being a physics major or stunt double, did not calculate how far forward she was going to actually move. It turns out, that it wasn't very far.

She would never be trying that little stunt again. But at least the kitty looked fine, albeit covered in a bit of her blood. "Are you alright *********?" She had enough time to get out those hurried words before the void skimmed across her shoulder. A scream ripped from her throat, no doubt sounding way too loud to *********.

Breathing in deeply, the sailor turned to get a good look at the damage. A chunk of her shoulder flesh was missing, enough that she could see the white of the bone peeking through the blood that was pouring down her arm. "Augh." The site of it almost made her sick, but she had to be strong! She had to help Iris and *********. Forcing herself to move, she set the cat down on the ground before picking herself up slowly. "Your evil is no match for love. I will fight you!"

Spreading her arms for attack, a bit gingerly, she managed to put forth another attack. "Scheat bubbles, POP!" This time, the sailor made sure to aim for Tisiphone's lovely little face, hoping to do some damage.
