Hey, I've been thinking of starting a Mafia game here in the guild. Would you be interested in joining? A post here is non-binding, I am just trying to judge the general interest level as I would love to make one, I just don't want to put in the effort if nobody cares. (if you don't know what Mafia is, click here to get the gist of it.)

Oh yes i love that game.
Sad that i always get killed first when i'm not mafia! crying
We play with townspeople, nurse, sheriff, and the mafia. (facepalm if there is a name for that)

I played the werewolf version to, but how do you plan to play it online, on the internet??

The Wikipedia article has some basic information, I could go get some online-specific info as well.
Basically, instead of talking, you post. If you want to keep info private, you PM it, as you do with night actions. That's the main set of differences, although with online play you can get some crazy roles as well.
It's really fun in my opinion, and I'm considering finding someone else to run it so I can play.

well the way the guy who runs it has a sub fourm for it and then a private subform for the wolves in the public one we discuess who could the wolves then vote on it . then the wolves do the same and kill one off us during the night. it or the wolves do it over PM's

I don't think it could work quite that way, but the sequence of events you described is pretty accurate.
I'll start putting together roles and stuff, since there seems to be decent interest.
