Today the league, AKA Roger Goodell handed down a six game suspension for Ben Roethlisberger a stern but in my opinion fair punishment for violating the personal conduct policy. Though Ben was never charged this is his second similar case in about 15 months, maybe this time it will be a wake up call for a guy who still thinks he is in college. Oddly the Steelers have I think 5 prime time games all of which come after Ben will be back, and the week he would come back is a bye, some people have been suggesting that the schedule makers knew he would get about a 4 to 8 game suspension so planned it for him to comeback on a bye, also have there tough games late in the year. coincidence or deliberate I think about 50/50.

It might come back to bite the Steelers, but if they trade Rothelisburger, it would be staying in line with their zero-tolerance policy, which is why Holmes was traded.
Do I think that the punishment was fair? Yes. Actually, to be honest, I wouldn't have given a chance to reduce the punishment. Then again, that's my opinion.
I do hope that Rothelisburger takes this as the reality check it is meant as.

Couldn't agree more, Big Ben is acting like a Big kid and needs to grow up to be the man he can be.
There have been reports that he even blew off Terry Bradshaws advice, if I were ever in the League thats one guy I know I would take notes when he is talking.
