I knew McNabb would be traded at around this time. But wow, I was extremely surprised that the Eagles traded him within the division. The Eagles will definitely have a downgrade at QB, as Kolb will be a full-time starter for the first time. McNabb as the QB of the Redskins makes them better, but I still don't think they're too much of a threat to win the division.

...So anyone else find that odd? This move makes the NFC East even better, yet makes it the division easier to win for the Giants! LOL

You forget about Michael Vick. He's still with the Eagles, although I still think Kolb is gonna be the starter.

Also, the Redskins will be a better team with McNabb. They could even win the division. They have a strong defense year in and year out. They have players at the skill positions except a good quarterback. Moss, Randle El, Cooley, and Portis to name a few. Campbell wasn't cutting it. Now they have an instant proven. We'll see what they do.

I'm really surprised that they didn't get at least a first round pick for him, I'd have to say Redskins got the better deal, probowler for the 37th pick and maybe a 3rd or 4th next season.

Well the Eagles wanted a top 42 draft pick for McNabb, and a 37th pick fills in here.

I am quite suprised about this. I felt the Eagles would have held out and traded McNabb to a different division, maybe even trade him to the AFC rather than have him go to a division rival. I'm not convinced Kolb or Vick are ready to fill in McNabbs shoes in Philly. Until further notice I say the Redskins got the better deal.

I still can't believe why the Eagles traded McNabb, McNabb! I mean I would understand if it was Michael Vick, but their good starter quarterback? Anyways now that the Redskins have McNabb and that runningback for the Steelers, that Parker guy, their going to be good this coming season.

Wow once it really set in that McNabb was no longer the Philly QB I started to like him, wow it's like when Favre went to Minnesota I started to accept Peterson as the best RB.

Very Bad move by the Eagles. He finally gets 2 young and very talented Wrs, and a great young TE...then they get rid of him....FAIL.

"They wanted to go young, apparently 33 is old"

McNabb said it best himself. Hes salty you can tell but he knows he can be just as good with the Skins.

I cant wait to see him get go all Brett favre on the Eagles twice a year for the next 3-5 years.

Also I know the Skins already have a plethera of RBs but I would LOVE to see Brian Westbrook Join McNabb in DC, that would be sweet.

Kolb is undoubtedly the Eagles' starting QB. Vick will still be used in certain offensive situations, but won't be able to fully take the reigns. Neither player is a true franchise QB yet. Both need to step up for the Eagles to become contenders, especially Kolb.

The Redskins are a better team with McNabb, but that doesn't put them over the top. They went 4-12 last season, and 0-6 against the NFC East, finishing last in the division. The Redskins are switching to a 3-4 defense this season from a 4-3, and Haynesworth isn't happy. Portis and Cooley aren't durable, Moss is inconsistent, Randel El isn't a Redskin anymore, and they're new young receivers have to step up. The biggest problem for the Redskins? A horrendous offensive line.
