What food do ya'll eat/serve for New Years? I think my family takes the southern route; pigs feet, porks skin, sugered peanuts, black eyed peas with rice, collared greens, fried chicken, and such. How about ya'll? (Or is it all booze? neutral ...which is also the southern route... )

Well for new years my family is usually pretty laid back.
Just snack type foods like crackers and cheese and sparkling cider.
Though this year ended up not doing anything crying
What you have sounds pretty good (well expect the pigs feet lol), I used to eat collared greens alot when i was little. Cant seem to find anyone who makes them round here anymore. You wouldnt happen to have a good recipie for collared greens would you?

If I'm with my mom she usually goes wild in the kitchen, but this year I was with my dad and we decided to just make a pizza. We were both too lazy and tipsy to cook anything big. sweatdrop

New Years Eve? Fondue. Always fondue.
Course the first: Crackers, creamy spreads and veggies with caviar.
Course the second: A traditional Cheese fondue with bread, lightly steamed veggies and some cherrys
Course the third: Either an Oil or Stock fondue- this year was my Chili Crusted Catfist with avacado dipping sauce and home made chips, with morracan (sp?) meatballs with a yogurt rose dipping sauce.
Cource the forth- always the same, my chocolate fondue with fresh fruit. I gave Fiddler the recipe.
And Mountain Dome Sparkling Wine- the best sparkling wine from this side of the Atlantic for the dollar. At around $16 a bottle, it is a beautiful subtle wine with a wonderful sparkle.
New Years Day: A "White Dinner" white asperagus tips with chicken breast poached in white wine with a creamy white sauce and mashed potatoes- a tradition my family has to remind us of the nature of the rest of the winter season.
