This is a deck that I received and modified and was wondering what you think:

Looking for advice if anyone has it. I will be adding Dark Bribes and an Honest very soon, but could use some suggestions on what to replace.

the first thing i see wrong with this deck is Captain Gold with no Skyscraper. the second thing is the cornucopia of horrible monsters with no real theme here (and don't say "it's a Skill Drain Deck", because you only run one and no Beast King Barbaros to back it up). i recommend giving it a complete overhaul, start from scratch.

take a few tips from this, it should point you in the right direction. True, I don't have Barbaros, But I ,have Blue Eyes instead, who matches him in stats. True Barbaros is better since I can just special summon him out with his own effect, But with Ancient Rules, I can do the same for Blue Eyes. I wasn't so much going for a theme, just pure beatdown force. Also, if I'm wrong, I'll remove him, wouldn't Skill Drain remove his effect?

To me it sounded like his theme was a beat down that required no skill to play. 3nodding I think what Armycat was trying to say was that barbaros can't be summoned through ancient rules because hes not a normal monster, but you can normal summon him to have him come out as a 3000atker. Plus tribute three guys and you can plow through everything.

For me at least if your gonna add a trap then maybe you should add that wicked seal card that negates the eefects of a face up card(spell or trap) or cursed seal. As for monsters if ya don't find barabaros then try to get it's ugly cousin Beast machine king barabaros ur.....or something....just remove a machine card(fusiler, cyber dragon, giant kozaky) and a beast type ( berserk gorrilla.......giant rat....) and you get a 3800 beat stick. I would just be carefull about power up cards but hey you make what you want for fun.....but for wins, if ya can't get barabaros then maybe ultimate fiend

See if you're unlucky and don't get Ancient rules, then you have to sacrafice 2 monsters to summon blue eyes.
Skill Drain only negates effects on the field, not in the hand. So Beast King Barbaros can be special summoned without a tribute and then when he's on the field he has no effect so his attack is 3000.

Really? Straight up stat wise, they're equal, effect wise, though, Beast King does beat out Blue Eyes, I realize that. But Barbaros has weaknesses that Blue Eyes doesn't. Peronally, I don't like Barbaros.
