Yeah, it was a surprise from my mom. I opened it and I was like uhhhhhhhhhhhhh..... I hand-knit everything, the closest I've come to using one of those round looms was when I used a knitting spool for ties for something. I have no clue what to do with it gonk I picked up a (very small) book of patterns, since the thing only came with one in the instructions, but I'm wondering - Anyone else have one? What do you like about them?

I had a couple of knitting magazines with bits about those. They were talking about knitting bags and stuff with them. I was kind of interested in checking them out.

I don't have one, but I have something similar (a dinky plastic "kit" from a dollar store). They're really addicting once you get started. Bags, scarves, little hats, smaller scarves and hats to put on pissed off cats.... The possibilities are endless. heart

I knit everything by hand, so I've never been interested or wanted one. My friend's mom uses it, she's made bags, hats, and scarfs (just used half of the loom).

My mom bought one for me when I was first learning to knit. The set now collects dust in the corner. *shrugs* She meant well... It's just... She'd have been better off simply giving me the $15.00 she spent on it.

If nothing else, the smaller one makes for a fun hat when you're drunk with a camera or need a makeshift crown. ^_^

I got one as well from my boyfriend's parents. Right now I'm making a Santa Clause hat with it. It was a little confusing at first, but now that I've gotten the hang of it it's actually just as relaxing as hand knitting.
