 Lin was hunched under a bench, glowering at anyone who threatened to get too close. Humans were dangerous and unpredicatable, and no more of their little brats were going to pull on her tail.
It had been a bad few days, to say the least. The tribe she'd been planning on joining went batshit and now didn't even exist, leaving Lin to find a new route in life. She'd wandered for awhile, but being alone for days on end in wide expanses of grass or trees had been close to driving her insane. She loved nature, sure, but not on her own.
Eventually Lin stumbled on this city, and entered just to hear something besides animals moving around and he rown thoughts. But she was ill-equipped to handle humans and their metal homes and monsters that moved on stone. Everything had sent her dashing away to hide, and it didn't take long for her to be dreadfully lost in here.
So now what? She was hungry, but humans were dangerous. She was lost, but there was no one to guide her out. And despite being around all of these humans and rats, she was lonely still.
Lovely. The normally proud, stubborn female had been reduced to a creature hissing and spitting under a place where humans sat. How humiliating.

 Why did human kits insist upon petting him? Why? Kiroko had been making a good attempt at being friendly with the majority of the humans he came across so that the city didn't view his to be tribe as dangerous. But the amount of petting that came with being friendly was ridiculous. Still, it was better than being kicked, stepped on, or having random house hold objects thrown at him.
The green male tried desperately to break away from a circle of children that insisted on petting him until his hair fell out without bitting or scratching any of them. After a good ten minutes of struggling, victory was his and Kiroko scampered off down the street. The rest of his tribe to be was either out and about still trying to learn the city, or back at the house, as he liked to call it. The past few days had been rather successful in finding new members and Kiroko hoped that today would prove to be just as good.
The green male hadn't wondered to far before he saw rather than smelled a light green vixen crouched under a nearby bench. From what Kiroko could see, she looked rather distressed. It didn't take Kiroko long to decided to trot over to her and see what was bothering her.
"Hey." He said as he approached. "You okay?"

Lin looked up warily at the male who spoke to her, gray eyes narrowing in initial suspicion. She'd run into one other Modifox in here, and the vixen had attacked her for a scrap of bacon. What if he tried to do the same?
Then, she had nothing.
Shaking her head, Lin decided to just take a leap of faith and slid out from under the nench to stand by the male. "I'm...I've been better," she settled on. "My name's Lin, and you could say that I'm new here."
One of the metal monsetrs screeched by, causing Lin to jump in suprise. "Gah!" Why did she ever come here? It was loud and it smelled weird...
Shaking her head, Lin shook her ruffled fur back down and looked aorund cautiously. "So, what's the...name..of this place? You seem like you know your way around."

With one look, before the vixen ever spoke, Kiroko could tell she was difinitely not a city fox. It was probably her first time in any city what so ever from the looks of it.
"Greetings Lin." Kiroko said with a smile as he sat down on the warm pavement. "Well, let me be the first to welcome you to our city. I am Kiroko and this place is the Phoenix Metropolis. Home sweet home." He looked up at the tall buildings around them and smiled. Though he hadn't been here long, Kiroko loved the way the Phoenix Metropolis felt. The smells and sounds of the city made him feel so at ease. Looking back to the lighter green fox beside him, Kiroko remembered this wasn't the case with every fox though.
"I haven't been in this city long, but being a city fox all my life, I know how to find my way through the crowds here fairly easily. Is there a certain place you're looking for? You seem a little lost..." Kiroko gave Lin a closer look and wondered why she was this far into the city in the first place.

Lin cautiously squirmed out from under the bench to sit next to Kiroko. He seemed nice enough, and if he wasn't, she could fight him off. "Nice to meet you Kiroko," she said absently as she started running her claws through her tail tuft, trying to untangle it--she'd accidentally skirted through some weird stuff humans left lying around.
"The Phoenix Metropolis, huh? So this place has a name." She didn't bother with his comment about it being home, but instead looked around them too. In the company of a non-hostile fox, it didn't seem so bad. The wya the sun reflected off the tall metal things was sort of pretty...
"Hh? Oh, no." Lin looked back at him. "I entered the city because I got tired of the silence back outside. I wasn't expecting all of the chaos here though, so I ended up being spooked and run all the way out here." She glared suspiciously at a human child who inched closer to her. "So now here I am."
