Paranormal Investigations and Security Squad Okay, okay, juvenile acronym aside, this is something that's been boiling in my head for a bit. With the upcoming Manor of Sleep event, perhaps we could spin that off into a kind of "police unit" RP that is focused on dealing with the magical and supernatural.
With the recent incident concerning the Manor of Sleep, the Starshine Inn and Suites (or a local authority) forms a special police unit to monitor paranormal activity and respond to emergencies involving the paranormal. We already have a magic-friendly setting, so we should have enough characters to recruit for this squad: I imagine Donovan and Katiana might be useful here. We can also use AA characters that might provide a more "policey" feel to it: Maggey Byrde and Ema Skye. Pearl Fey might be available as a spiritualist, as well.
(I have an original AA character, Marin Marshall, to add to the mix, as well. Beramode may also have something suitable for this area.)
This group could begin forming during the Manor event to act as a kind of "adventure hub", and be formally established at any time.
Essentially, this would create a parallel RP setting to SIS that is more action-oriented. Working with other RPs and their GMs, the squad may have opportunities to visit other roleplay settings to "exercise their authority". This is a little like visiting other RPs randomly, but more controlled and official to ensure maximum visibility; ultimately we would be drawing more players towards the SIS through association.
...Expect vampires. sweatdrop

綾里春美の教学 - The Education of Ayasato Harumi A university/academy setting linked to SIS (and Hazakura?). This is mostly just because I want to have something to do with Pearl. If it's a magic school, maybe Trucy could be there with her... if we had a Trucy... emo
Could have tie-in activities and linked events with the Durem Library.
This setting would require a greater number of characters and players for staffing. A recruitment drive could supplement this with people looking specifically for an academic setting.

Community Journal: "The Morning Word" When SIS gets too big for individual players to keep track of everything going on across the different settings, a regularly updated journal or news report might come in handy. It would also be a useful first-page blurb to clue lurkers in on what's going on without having to backread through dozens of pages.
Sunny could deliver it via a television newscast with the phrase, "This is Sunny Nebels, holding your Morning Word!"

Capriccio's Restaurant Appreciation Program Aria Capriccio publishes reports and reviews about various restaurant-themed mini-shops around Gaia Online, in-character and sometimes with in-character interviews with the artists and chefs at work. This brings mini-shops into the roleplaying area, advertising them to Starshine regulars and other roleplayers who may happen to read it. Special promotions available only through Starshine may help boost attendance and interest.
