After the exploration group had left, Elke was still sitting in place with her hands folded in her lap, legs out in front of her like a child who hadn't quite learned about seating oneself with crossed legs. Then, considering her skirt, she had probably made the better choice. Her expression was uncertain, her eyes a little tired as she looked at the people left with her.

Abeline. She knew that Abeline had wanted to go with the others. But that hadn't been what the Ancient Lady had wanted; so the blue-haired girl had stayed behind. She was Sailor Cancer. They were zodiacs together, just... unfortunately stuck in human form right now. Then there was Lucas, who was... not looking his best. But he was a jerk. A jerk she pitied, but not a Zodiac and still a jerk.

Then there was Astraea, who was an unknown quality, except she was scared of the Ancient Lady. Maybe. More like a little terrified? Maybe? Elke didn't know how to qualify it.

"Okay, guys," said Elke, who was clearly unaccustomed to taking charge and running things. "Um... Well, Capricorn and Libra and Hero are... outside. Looking for ammo and food and stuff, so they're probably near the electives buildings because that's where the kitchens are. We should go see about Sue's group of survivors, too. Let's all go together, we're safer that way, aren't we? Right?"

Pause.

"Can we... not go yet? Just for a little bit?" She smiled apologetically. "I, um, I need a minute." The bluenette still looked ridiculously pale. There was not much that could be said for having someone destroy your door, then having a spirit of a lady possess your princess, then finding out you couldn't henshin and were basically defenseless. Well, except 'Hi I need to catch my breath.'

Abeline, motherly and nuturing as a shark leaving its young and wandering off... tucked her skirt under her knees and placed a hand on Elke's shoulder. What she wanted to say, and what came out of her mouth were two different things.

"I will protect you, so don't cry." which really translated as 'harden up, jello girl- no crybabies here, this is bootcamp.' Luckily occasionally Abeline didn't say what was going through her brain. Perhaps this was the mystery to her whole existence. Then again...

And as for the laser-beam catgirl, well, she could take care of her own backside. And if she lasered Hendricks again, well that would be a problem.... still...

"Let's find those three first. Since they are less likely to try and shoot us. Are there more Zodiacs with that group of destructive, violent survivors? It would be easier if Sue went in there... last time I tried to talk to someone in that shed, I had my head bashed in." And she wasn't eager to have the same experience again.

Abeline glanced at Astraea-- was the catgirl going to be okay for this? She seemed a little unstable, and the last thing that Froust wanted was the woman who could shoot laserbeams from her forehead to have a fit of anger or start sniffling. Suuurrree, she was calm and collected right now, but how long would /that/ last? Maybe the electives would have some catnip, and Froust could tame the savage kitty. Not that Froust was afraid of the p***y.... no, she did not fear anything with a tail and cat-ears. Except someone who could shoot laserbeams with those appendages... "I will take point, that way Elke and Hendricks won't get hu-- in my way." And no, she had not almost expressed concern over these pitiful mortals! It was obscured to even suggest that.

-Some left.. some stayed, people milled around, plans were drawn, and Lucas was finally.. feeling halfway decent enough to attempt to sit forward. Leaning forward, as he fought the swelling tide in his stomach his eyes settled on something quite interesting. Hands that were pale.. just a little pink. Definately not green. He turned to look at his arm.. which appeared pretty well stuck to his body once again. Disreguarding the company present, his hands dipped low, hurrying to free the makeshift belt that kept his 'a size or two too large' borrowed pants from falling off. Gazing down the fabric line to the also still pink and intact flesh hidden beneath he began to laugh. Seemingly like a crazy person.

His chest heaved with his feverish, but also, decidedly relieved laughter, and for a long moment he was lost in his own world. Apparently he'd had a continue hanging around all this time, and just hadn't cashed it in until now? He wasn't even sure HOW he'd cashed it in. It didn't matter. He was alive, he was.. mostly okay physically (minus the aching head and swirling stomach), and of course his private parts were completely unbruised and not even remotely managled after their slight brush with zombieEsen's foot.

His laughter began to quiet finally, leaning back against propped up arms as his head and stomach swimmed some more threateningly. He'd heard something.. before his little lapse into lunatic land. It sounded like a plan.. like a mission? Count him in. Lucas had had enough losing for awhile, it was about time he threw a WIN into the mix.

Even if it was kind of a ragtag team.. His eyes settled on Astraea, mind milling. Laserbeams... novelty and super flexibility. Was it worth it?-

It probably wasn't. Astraea was pacing back and forth now. "We should split up again," she said. "Virgo. I'll take you. We can go and find the other Zodiacs that you mentioned and then I can shoot myself with the gun." She seemed a little rattled. "Cancer can take the boy and go and find those survivors Zue, oh, sorry, he's still being delusional, Sue talked about. There's no point in going as a big gang."

Except for the fact that she was the only one out of all of them who could hurt anyone, that is.

She was about as maternal as Cancer, which was saying something, though at least Abeline was trying to be comforting. "Come on. There's no point in sitting around, Virgo."

Catnip didn't work on Astraea. Maybe crack.

Abeline was not much help, thought Elke; she was better at the whole comforting thing than Giselle, and she would have pulled herself together for Giselle, so she'd do it for Abeline and Astraea and Lucas, too. Speaking of Lucas, why was he laughing? There was not much funny going on right now. There was a lot of scary stuff going on now. At least no one was bleeding yet.

"Okay," said Elke. She straightened her hair, looked up at Abeline and said, "I like you a lot better when you're not a zombie."

At least she was honest?

She got up. It was not exactly the most graceful movement ever seen in the history of ever, but it got the job done. "Um," said Elke to Astraea, "The Queen said to go together. And. None of us have our powers right now, no one except you I guess, so wouldn't it be safer for the group of us to..." She trailed off, looking at Lucas now. That laugh was really creepy.

"Do you think that's the best idea?" Elke did not want to get in trouble with the lady in Serenade's body. Who knew what she could tell the Princess when she got back? She wasn't trying to second-guess anyone, she just. Well. "...What are you," she asked after a moment. It was not the best time for questions. "Is Sue going to be like you?" She thought Sue with a tail would be really funny.

Abeline stood back from Elke and glanced at the catgirl. THe idea of going on seperate missions wasn't such a worry as going back to those 'survivors' without the protection of laserbeams. Still, Abeline stood and debated her point of view.

By splitting up, they could cover more ground, quicker. And with the cranky-pants catgirl to protect Elke, Abeline wouldn't have to worry about Elke crying or anything like that- Froust was bad with teary eyed girls. Froust was bad with anyone upset. She was really a big ol' softie. Really. Some days.

But at the same time, would she forgive herself if something happened to the other two while she wasn't there, and wouldn't it be safer for her to be with Astraea? Immediately she straightened. "While staying together might be safer, Elke, we can work quicker by breaking into two teams. Besides, Astraea has a laserbeam in her head, so she can take down any zombies who try and eat you." Abeline hoped that she would be getting a freakin' laserbeam in her head... maybe thats what the pen did when she transformed.... became a laserbeam? Although she hoped it wasn't permenant.

Lucas laugh went unnoticed by Abeline as she walked to the gym doors. "Alright, Hendricks, lets go, I saw a small skirt on one of the survivors, maybe she'll let you sniff her panties."

-He collected himself.. as much as someone in his particular mindset and predicament could.. as the girls discussed and came up with their game plan. As his name was called, his attention snapped to Abeline, already almost halfway out the door, giving her a face that was borderline retarded.- "I don't sniff panties." -Usually... He snirked as he worked on pushing himself up from the ground. He much preffered looking at them. On, off, whatever.

He wavered a step as he made it fully up finally, chiding himself as he fought the urge to hurl right then and there. He was a man though! Men did not toss their cookies in front of ladies (unless they were ridiculously, unwalkable drunk). No way. Nut up or shut up. It was still a zombie-pocalyps out there, or so he assumed, and it was round 2.

Striding over to Abeline, he planted a hand firmly on her shoulder, to balance himself. Her skin was warm and soft.. and he had a sudden urge not so different from the hungry ones he'd been having the day before. His thumb shifted to rub against her shoulder before the inevitable shove away that was likely to come.-

"Sooo... attempting to rally the other survivors and get them to follow us back? Without getting killed or completely denied. Sounds... challenging." -It was strange the way his eyes seemed to light up as the last word drawled across his lips, teeth peeking through his smirk.-

Froust glanced down at Lucas' hand on her shoulder, her ears flushing pink with excitement before she gracefully shrugged it off. Lucas did not need to know that her heart was pounding when he touched her, and that she was about to beg him to love her eternally. No, Lucas was a bad man, who would chase any skirt that was closet. Abeline nodded to the two girls. Like their skirts. Still, Lucas would have to do some pretty invasive things for Froust to angrily dislodge him-- she'd probably never hit the poor boy with something either. After all, she was cool and controlled and... Lucas had not seen her crying like some pathetic little girl earlier! That had been a bad dream.

"Alright, the long-pawed rabbit and I will go and rally the lemmings, while you two do your thing." Evidentally Lucas was a rabbit again. Poor thing hadn't even been conscious for his elevation to buffalo.

Abeline strode from the gym, looking far more confident and self-assured than she felt. Okay, that was a lie, Abeline believed that this plan would work because she was... she was just that egotistical. This was Abeline Froust, a girl who usually told her choreographers how best to not get in her way. Her dark blue hair was messy, but she still held herself with an air of higher authority. All of a sudden she looked like she was on a mission. Her whole demeanor excluded this aura.

There were a lot of questions. Sailor Virgo was fearful; Sailor Cancer was, at least, willing to take charge (and had the same patience with crying girls that Astraea did, though Astraea had possibly less -- poor Elke) and the human boy was back to normal. Abeline was already leaving. The guardian cat turned to Virgo instead. "Don't worry about Queen Serenity," she said. The Ancient Lady would understand the need for not wasting time. Abeline could more than likely take care of herself. "We need to gather those senshi."

She actually wished she had Kirin there -- he was useful, if... Kirin, but Foramen had his own duties.

"Let's move."
