12/13/2009 Alice is enrolled in Majesco Academy and assigned a partner, a girl named Kristel whose specialty is Pyrokinesis. Fun!

Distinguishing Features: Blue hair: While naturally platinum blonde, Alice dyes her hair blue.
Cold skin: Alice's skin is icy cold to the touch.
Odd Tidbits:
Average body temperature: Her core body temperature, while normally it would be a healthy 98.6 degrees, is around 40 degrees instead; as a direct result of this Alice is cold to the touch. She isn't unhealthy, and it doesn't appear that in any way her condition bothers her in a negative way, this is what is healthy for her like 98.6 is healthy for others.
Cold breath: A result of her inner body temperature. No matter if Alice drinks hot tea, hot cocoa, has been exercising or anything that could normally warm a person her breath will always be icy cold.
5 feet 7.5 inches: Alice wishes she were taller despite already being rather tall for a girl. She was thrilled when she was told she was 5'7.5" after being told she was merely 5'7", and now if that .5 is ever left off she will be a bothersome little brat until it's corrected.
Four-to-Five Word Personality:
Cold, haughty, arrogant, dramatic, thoughtful
Personality: At first glance Alice is very confident, but in the haughty and smug sense of the word. It isn't just that she walks with poise, or the way she carries her head held high that it looks as if she's looking down at you when she does talk to you, it's the overall air around her. From the way she moves all the way to the way she talks. When Alice speaks to you nine times out of ten it will feel like she's speaking to a child, very condescending and often bored and disinterested. It gives the impression that she thinks you're an idiot. She prefers keeping to herself, usually, because deep down she does feel somewhat bad for the way she comes off to people, so she doesn't want to make people dislike her. It's not that she makes a conscious effort to be this way unless she's genuinely annoyed it's just how she has always been. Perhaps if you're lucky she'll 'warm' up to you, so to speak.
When she isn't being snooty she's quite gentle and thoughtful. Maybe she's bringing a saucer of milk out to a stray cat when no one is looking, or helping someone carry something, or giving honest advice and listening to something someone has to say and not patronizing them. Don't call her out on it, or you'll feel a very sudden chill of cold air that isn't coming from an air vent above you. Often Alice will be seen reading poetry, and when she's in this kind of mood she gets...philosophical. At least she thinks she is. She gets contemplative and deep, saying things that she believes sounds poetic and heartfelt. She also enjoys singing when she thinks no one's around; she's far too shy to sing in public without extreme coaxing. What? Even Alice can be shy despite the confidence she seems to exude when around people.
If you want to make her vulnerable, get her warm. She isn't cold merely in personality, she's also physically cold. Put her in a room that's too warm, or outside during the summer, and she'll get extremely sluggish and uncomfortable. She whines, complains, and wants to do nothing but just lay in the shade and try to cool the air around her in an attempt to get cold again. It's either extremely funny or extremely sad to watch depending on how you feel about her.

History: Alice Cross was born in Sheffield, England. Her parents, who were well-off lawyers, were born in England; their parents were born in England so on. They were the first to leave, however. She only lived in England until she was five so she doesn't have many memories or fun stories about life in Sheffield, nor does she have an incredibly heavy accent since her only influences past age five were her parents. Alice has an accent, it's just incredibly faint but shows through more strongly when she's tired. It was around this time that the Crosses were expecting a sibling for their little girl, and by the time they were settled into their new Boston apartment she was already four months pregnant. That's when they began to experience...complications. Her mother was suffering from a severe hormone imbalance, so much so that in the middle of an emergency examination to make sure her baby was alright she finally miscarried. The Crosses were devastated, and little Alice was definitely no exception to the tragedy. Her hopes and excitement over having a little brother or sister were dashed to the floor and shattered like glass. Coincidentally, or consequently, that is about the time that Alice's temperature began to make its decline unbeknownst to the family and herself. She began to isolate herself more, getting more into things like poetry and opera and growing up much too quickly into a refined young lady with a love for snow and lace. Alice's favorite season was always winter, and every year she would always be seen playing in the snow. It was where she was calmest and most comfortable, however her parents often thought it peculiar that she never even so much as shivered while or after lying in the snow staring at the sky or reading a book for hours and hours. She would go to school during the winter in light clothes despite their protests, putting down any student and even faculty who attempted to coerce her into dressing heavier like the rest of them with polite words that really translated into harsh insults when one stopped to think it over. She did have a small group of people she considered friends, these friends were the few people that would stick around long enough for her warm up to them.
Around the age of 10 some strange things began to be noticed by Alice and her parents. Her skin was always cold, as well as her breath even after drinking something hot like her afternoon tea, and whenever she was in the heat she became uncomfortable and lethargic like a cold-blooded reptile in cold weather. If she got too warm she would begin to cry and whine and at one point she even tried to fit herself into the freezer in the middle of summer. Her parents were distraught, so they brought her to the doctor fearing the worst after their past experiences with children and hospitals. Her temperature was taken several times and with many different methods, but every result was unsettling to everyone involved; Alice's average core temperature was 45.3 far, far, far below what was normal. Aside from that everything about her seemed to be normal. She was healthy, she was in no pain, all her organs were functioning perfectly, she just had an unexplainable condition. With that her parents decided they would just deal with it, and everything continued on as normal for several years until one day she tried to take a relaxing bath and...the water froze solid! Alice panicked, her parents panicked, but they were able to break her free. After that it was decided that she would be sent somewhere where this could be explained, and perhaps 'fixed' if possible.

 What is Cryokinesis?_____________
Cryokinesis is the opposite of Pyrokinesis. While Pyrokinesis is the ability to control heat and fire, Cryokinesis is the ability to control and manipulate cold and ice.
Icy breath_____________
One of the fun consequences of being physically cold is that her breath is always cold. With enough practice she can potentially freeze things with it as well...except that would need a lot of air from her lungs, so it wouldn't be very comfortable. Practice makes perfect?
Icy touch_____________
Alice can coat a thin layer of ice over a surface she is touching. With practice it's possible the layer could become thicker and cover more surface area. At the moment the area covered in ice is proportionate to how much of her is touching the surface, so if more of her body is touching it at once then more of the area will be covered.
Freeze water_____________
Shouldn't need explanation. Alice can freeze water with ease.
Chilled air_____________
She can cool the air around her until it matches her natural temperature, it's easiest for her to affect the immediate area, but with enough concentration and effort she can span as far as half a mile until she overexerts herself and tires herself out. Again, with practice all of this will be much easier and second nature for her to do.
