The Guide

For those oblivious, Masashi Kishimoto is the author of Naruto. If you did not know that, proceed to bash your head against the wall.

The System

There is a specific system we use when dealing with chakra. You do not regulate how much you have, or when you run out, for there is a numeric way that creates a fair playing field for every member. Depending on your rank in this guild, your chakra limit changes. As you go up in rank, you are allowed to have a larger supply of chakra. Easy enough? A Jounin is obviously going to have more chakra then a gennin.

The standard amount of chakra for a beginning gennin is 150. You have 150 "points" of chakra to use during a fight. Using a Genjutsu or Ninjutsu costs chakra, so when you use one, you must subtract it's cost from your chakra total.

Example: Bob performed the required hand signs. "Bunshin no Jutsu!" The shuriken went through his body with a poof.

At the bottom of Bob's post, he would have to show us that he subtracted the chakra.

Example: Bob performed the required hand signs. "Bunshin no Jutsu!" The shuriken went through his body with a poof.
[150-5=145]

150 is Bob's chakra total, 5 is the cost of the jutsu, and 145 is the chakra he has left.

During a fight, if your chakra total reaches 10, you pass out. If it reaches 0, you die.

Chakra Costs

Every Ninjutsu, Genjutsu, and Taijutsu has a cost of chakra to use in battle. Depending on the level of power of the jutsu, it is ranked accordingly. The weaker the jutsu, the lower the rank. The more powerful the jutsu, the higher the rank. The Ranking is S-E, highest to lowest. The amount of chakra required to perform a jutsu increases as the rank and power of the jutsu increases. Below, is the amount each rank Requires.

E: 5
D: 15
C: 30
B: 60
A: 80
S: 200

Every Jutsu is organized by rank in their respective forums, so no need to worry.

Chakra limits for Ranks

As I said before, you are allowed more chakra as you increase in rank. Below is the limits. You may have noticed that there is a max under each. With training, you are able to increase your chakra amount. In the next section, I will explain training. You may notice the chakra limits get higher and higher. That is because as you rank up, you get boosts and Chakra.

What is a line?

This is the most frequently, and disputed question asking questions. So, to stop my inbox from vomiting, lets put an end to the questions.

User Image
See the pretty picture? LOOK AT THE PRETTY PICTURE BEFORE YOU PM ME.

The currency for gaining new jutsu, abilities, and all sorts of wonderful things, is "lines." A line is one set of letters across the Gaia chatbox. See picture. I beg of you. The example above has seven full lines, but because the next line is about half full, you get credit for the extra line. Because I'm nice. If it's a lot less then half, such as one word, you don't get credit for it, you cheap jerk. If it comes down to it, yes, I will check. And if I catch you cheating the system, I will spam your inbox with angries.

You must make a training thread under the training subforum. Create a thread there, if you want to live peacefully in this guild. This is your master guide to everything you know, and can do. Below is the skeleton.

Name:

Lines:

Chakra:

Titans:

Demons/Clan Abilities/Marks:

Missions: [How many of each so far.]
S:

C:
D:

How Do I get Lines?

Typed Training The main way to get lines is by posting in your training thread. What do you post? Well, you training of course! You can type anything you want. You attempting a jutsu, you performing jutsu's, weight lifting, running, endurance, anything at all. Even if your just reading an educational book. Simple! You must, somewhere in your post, [Top or bottom] say how many lines it contains. That way, it's easier for you and us mods to make sure you didn't pull the lines out from a place the sun don't shine. Again, if you go giving yourself extra lines in your posts, and me or another mods finds out, I'm going to go jaws on you. This is a fun and fair environment.

Missions By completing missions from your village, you get a set amount of lines. The higher the mission difficulty, the more lines you get. I will go into missions more in detail later on.

Best of the best There is a sub forum called best of the best. It is place where you can have fights with you're friend(s ) Any match type is allowed. One v One, Two Vs Two, you catch my drift. If you win, you are awarded 100 lines. If you don't have any friends, to bad.

Just kidding. Ask a mod or post in the chat thread, and you'll find yourself an opponent.

Exchanging Lines for Jutsu

It's not that complicated, once you break it down. First off, you cannot learn a jutsu that is not of your own element type. If you have fire and earth, you're not about to learn a water jutsu. Below, is a little chart I decided to make to reduce confusion.

Class----------E Rank-----D Rank-----C Rank -----B Rank-----A Rank-----S Rank-----
______________________________________________________________
Genin---------Known------Known--------100 ---------200 ---------N/A ---------N/A-----

Chunnin------Known------Known--------Known ---------100 ------ ---200 ---------N/A-----

Jounin--------Known------Known--------known ---------50-----------100 -------- -500-----

Sannin-------Known------Known------Known ------Known -----------100 -------- -500-----

Kage---------Known------Known------Known ---known ---------Known ----------500-----

That is how many lines it "costs" to learn a jutsu. However, the lines you use do not have to be you training for that specific jutsu. They just have to be lines you earned, through any means. When you choose to use lines to get a jutsu, those lines need to be subtracted form your total. You don't get to re-use them or anything, like I said, it's a currency. Once you use them, they're gone.

That graph from was to make Life easier, but below is the exact quantities for learning.

Genin: All E, D. [The user can train C, and B ranked jutsus.]
Chunnin: All E, D, C [The user can train B and A ranked jutsus.]
Jounin: All E, D, C [The user can train B and A ranked jutsus and 1 S-ranked.]
Sannin: All E, D, C, B [The user can train A and 2 S-ranked jutsus.]
Kage: All E, D, C, B, A [ The user can train 3 S-ranked jutsus. ]

What Are Status Points

We've gone of Chakra points, the supply of power, and Lines, the currency of the guild. There is one last system of points in this guild, and it is called Status points. they keep order to god modding with jutsus.

Now, without status points, one could go around and learn any high level of Ninjutsu, Genjutsu, and Taijutsu. It wouldn't matter the rank of the person learning it, or how high a level of each you could learn. This system stops you from learning.

When you join, you are given 100 status points and the most you can have is 175 points. You can put them in Taijutsu, Ninjutsu, and Genjutsu.

Examples

Nin: 50
Gen: 50
Tai: 0

Nin: 25
Gen: 25
Tai: 50

Nin: 0
Gen: 0
Tai: 100

You can use them however you please. Status points aren't used for anything, but qualifying if you have the ability to use a jutsu. Remember Bob? If not, whatever. Below will be Bob's template.

Nin: 75
Gen: 25
Tai: 0

Bob wants to use the Kage Bunshin no jutsu, or the shadow clone jutsu. It's a B level technique. In order to preform a B level technique in any category, one must have 50 status points in that said category. If Bob had the lines, could he perform the jutsu?

Yes, children. He could. Yay for Bob. Bob has 75 points in ninjutsu, he needed 50, and has more then enough. Nothing happens to those status points. They don't go anywhere. It's just allowing bob to perform the level of Jutsu he wants.

If bob Wanted to use a B level technique in either Taijutsu, or Genjutsu, he would be out of luck. He does not meet the number of status points needed to use the jutsu. Better luck next time, Bob.

Below, is the guide to what status points you need for each level.

E- 0
D- 5
C- 25
B- 50
A- 75
S- 100

Exchanging Lines for Status Points

So, you want to get more status points? Sure, with hard work, [and a lot of lines] It's possible. If you exchange 100 lines, you are awarded 1 status point. Those 100 lines are gone, mind you.

Example.

Nin: 50 + 1
Gen: 50
Tai: 0

Nin: 51
Gen: 50
Tai: 0

You exchanged 100 lines, and get one status point. I don't think it's so complicated that I need to go into this further. You can do it as much as you want.

Exchanging Lines for Chakra

This is different from loosing your lines in order to gain something. In this method, all you have to do is have the lines, and you get credit. You don't have to exchange anything, or loose any lines.

For every line you have, you get 1 extra chakra point.

Example

You have 150 chakra.
You train for 10 lines.

150 + 10 = Your chakra

160 = Your chakra

Those 10 lines are still eligible to be traded in for status points, jutsus, ect. However, this only works until you reach the max level of chakra. For A gennin, that's 300. Once your chakra reaches 300, it doesn't increase anymore, no matter how much you train.

What Are "Titan Abilities" And How Do I Get Them?

A titan ability is a little reward you get for training so hard. Think of it as a thank you from the mods. It works the same way as chakra, in the sense that you don't loose the lines. Once you have accumulated 500 lines, you are allowed to choose A Titan Ability. They Are...

Titan Speed- A quick speed boost that lasts one turn, it makes you move 5 times your normal speed.

Titan Strength- A strength boost that makes you 10 times stronger. It lasts one turn and you can only hit once.

Titan Defense- A boost in your defense which allows you to withstand just about any one attack from an enemy. It gives you 10 times your defense.

You may choose one. That is all. You get one for every 500 lines you type. As for using them? Once you use it, it's gone. If you do choose to use it, you must say in your post you are using a titan for the buff, otherwise, it doesn't count. I'm not Edward Cullen, and neither is your opponent. We can't read your mind.

Ranking up; How To Do It, and The Benefits

Everyone starts off as a Genin. You work your way up from there.

Gennin Can do C and D rank Missions. They have a chakra of 150, and can boost it up to 300. They can Train C and B ranked jutsus.

Genin to Chunnin You have to have 4 completed D rank missions. During the chuunin exams, which you must enter, you need to prove yourself.

Chunnin Can do C and B ranked missions. They have 450 chakra, and can train it up to 600. They can learn C, B, and A ranked jutsu.

Chunnin to Jounin You must complete 4 C ranked jutsu, and 2 B ranked missions. Through active RPing, and a good Reputation, you will be asked to take a special mission. Pass, and you are awarded the rank. Also if the guild finds you worthy to become this rank. ( Aka, Excellent role playing ability/ Devotion to this guild ) Then the guild takes a vote and if accepted you may become a Jounin without the above requirements.

Jounin Can do B, A, [and if approved S ranked] missions. Their chakra is 750, and can be trained to 900. They can learn any level of jutsu. However, they can only learn 2 S ranked.

Jounin to Sannin You must have completed 3 A-ranked missions and 1 S-ranked missions. There may be three for each village.

In the case of a Jounin wanting to become Sannin after the three have already been chosen, they must challenge one of the three. The battle will be judged by the mods, and voted upon who the winner is. The winner is chosen by ROLE PLAYING ABILITY, not necessarily strength.

Superior Role playing > Brute Strength

If the Sannin rejects the fight, he or she will automatically loose their seat. If someone godmods, they automatically loose. If it persists, the godmodder's character may be killed off by the opponent.

Sannin Can learn any jutsu, and do any mission they please. There chakra is 1000, and can be trained to 1500. They're the big cheese.

Sannin to Kage Must kill your kage or become kage in a special scenario. There chakra is 1750, and can be trained to 2k.

Missions

Every village has different missions you can do, and are ranked D-S.

User Image

In addition to acting as the army for their country, the ninja village also acts as a business. Each day clients will come to the village and pay for the services of the ninja. These jobs can range from the mundane (walk the feudal lord's dog), to the assassination of deadly wanted criminals. As needed the Kage or Jounin master of a Genin team can assign missions in furtherance of a duty to the country that are unpaid.

These jobs are thus divided into difficulty ranks of S, A, B, C and D and then given to ninja based on their ability. If the mission is completed successfully, the client will then pay the village. The easiest and least deadly jobs are given to the Genin, these are called "D-Rank". The D-Rank missions also help to build teamwork skills among the new Ninja Academy graduates. D-Rank are therefore non-combat with low pay. The "C-Rank" missions will be given to Chuunin and skilled Genin. These include protective escorts and missions with some chance of bodily harm. It can include capturing wild animals and mine clearing. "B-Rank" missions will be given to Special Jounin and Chuunin. These also include protective escort, gathering foreign intelligence and killing of ninja. Open battle is generally not an issue during this mission type. The next highest rank missions, "A-Rank" are given to Jounin and Special Jounin. These include vital missions between nations, escorting VIPs and maneuvers against offensive ninja forces. Thus these missions will almost always involve combat and risk of death. At the highest and most dangerous is "S-rank", given to Jounin. These missions include assassination of important persons, transporting classified documents and materials. With the extreme danger comes a very high rate of pay.

That is some basic info on Missions. You didn't really have to read it, but oh well.

Below are the rewards for completing a mission.

D Rank- 25 Lines
C Rank- 75 Lines
B Rank- 125 Lines
A Rank- 175 Lines
S rank- 300 Lines

So, doing a D rank mission is already half way there to getting you a jutsu. Not bad, hmm? You can use these lines for anything.

--> Higher level ninja, can NOT do lower level missions. It just doesn't make sense. No easy ways out, lazies.

--> Do not post in the missions thread

--> You can repeat as many D rank missions as you like, as often as you like. Anything higher then that, and you must PM a mod asking for it. this is so they can be NPC, or make sure you can do it, and stuff like that.

Missing Ninja

Missing ninja: 900%
Akatsuki members: 1000%
Akatsuki Leader: 1100%

Who can be a missing ninja? Anyone. Even someone who just joined. there are large benefits, but also large risks in being a Missing Ninja.

Pro's

1] Missing nin can train any jutsu for 50 lines, no matter the rank. Except for S rank, which are 300. That's still a 200 less deduction, though.
2] They are used as the main bad guy for many a plot.
3] There chakra limit is equal to a Kage
4] They can train up to 175 status points.

Con's

1] They do not rise in rank, therefore do not get chakra boosts.
2] They cannot perform in events such as Chunnin exams, ect.
3] They cannot get demons.
4] Mising ninja are hated by all villages. If they decided to go into a village, any ninja may approach them to kill them. Don't whine if you RPC gets killed. Don't put yourself in that situation.

Missing Nin and Bounties; As a missing ninja, you have a bounty. Your bounty is equal to your lines. Now, if someone were to kill you, they are awarded. How does this work? Lets say you have 1000 trained lines. The person who kills you gets 500. You are left with the remaining lines, for another character and whatnot.

So basically, they steal half of your lines.

FAQ's

Q. Oh, oh! I want a biju, how do I get a biju?

A. Slow down, Sparky. Biju's are released in random Guild Events or given by your kage. If a demon attacks your village location. Everyone will have a few days to get there. If you want the biju, you must be there for the start of the battle or show your kage that you deserve to own it. If you "win" against a demon attacking your village you roll a 20 sided dice 5 times. To be the one who gets the monster sealed you must get a multiple of 10 exactly.

Q. What's the deal with clones?

--> Bunshin no Jutsu - Clone Technique

You get 1-3 clones. They don't make noise, have no matter, and no chakra. Just basically something to fool the eyes. Can't attack, use jutsu, ect.

--> Mizu Bunshin no Jutsu - Water Clone Technique

You get 1-10 clones. These clones are only 1/10 the strength of the user. So they can perform jutsu, and attack, but at a lower level. They have chakra, and matter. Sharingan and Byakugan can see through them. When destroyed, they return to water. Water bunshins can travel only 50 ft from the user.

-->Kage Bunshin no Jutsu - Shadow Clone Technique

You get 1-10 clones, depending on chakra control. These clones can perform jutsu [Nin, Tai, Gen], and attack, on the same level as the user. It's virtually impossible to tell them apart from the original. Only high levels of sharingan have been able to see through. [Elongated 3 tombs+] Each jutsu the clone casts depletes chakra from the user, though.

Bunshins can be used to train with. For ever three lines of training with bunshins, you get an extra line. So if you trained fifty lines, you would get an extra 17 lines. You round up.

50/3=16.666666

Bunshins can take a physical beating, but when any piercing damage is done, they "poof" into a cloud of smoke. For example, it can take a punch, but not a stab.
