Discussion 1: "4th Quarter issues"
Steelers has the worst 4th quarter defense
OMG?! I cant believe the steelers allowed the chargers to score 21 points in the 4th quarter. THE WORST! Not to mention the past few games allowing more than 2 TDs in the final quarter.
But the running game & O-line are looking good. Mendenhall ran exceptionally well today and chargers defense are looking really bad. LT rushed for only 15 yards in 7 carries. Rivers had 2 good drives on the 4th quarter that I believe he made in only 5 plays.Mendenhall had 29 touches and 165 yards averaging about 5.6 yards a carry. The steelers average rating on the run is 81 yards. Pretty impressive stuff. What are your thoughts on the Steelers & Chargers now? What do these teams need to improve in? Obviously, the Steelers need to work on their 4th quarter D.
Discussion 2: "BFF"
Brandon Marshall & McDaniels? BFF?! WTF?! Did anyone see the postgame media? THEY HUGGED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE QUESTION CONCERNING THEM HUGGING! I thought it was cute & gay. But mostly cute. They settled things and are 4-0 right now. Orton averaging a 90% rating. Their defense is number one right now! Kudos to Broncos! Do you think the broncos are truly good this year? or are they just lucky so far?
Discussion 3: "Best team so far?"
Wow...The jets lost against Saints. I sorta saw that coming. Honestly, someone had to beat the jets to make them a little less "cocky". Sanchez got picked of 3 times. that's right, 3 TIMES! They are probably talked a lot in new york. But yea, they met their match and Saints are going against Giants next time, so let's see if they can beat another undefeated team, What are your thoughts of this game? Are the Saints the best team so far?
Discussion 4: "QB Safety net"
Ravens defense are pissed! Ray lewis stated that the game now focuses on the safety of the QB and the calls the refs made was not 'football'. He also stated that QBs needed to get hit, they are men, they should get hit just like how the defense gets hit. 2 calls were made to set the patriots in to 2 TDs. 1 on hitting Brady on the head, and another when brady almost got hit on his knees - also known as the brady rule. What do you guys think? Is the NFL too light on QBs? Some say that QBs now are at their peak because of all these rules.
Discussion 5: "Tiny Titans"
The titans started off this season with 0-4. And against the Jags this week, you wouldve expected them to see some light. People are saying they arnt surprised. A lot of people said last year was a fluke. They are currently last in their division. I think that they have an unbalanced, re-building team. they need to go back to the drawing board and fix their problems, like their pass defense. What are your thoughts?
Discussion 6: "Wow Teams"
Ok...The bears & 49ers were less than average last year, but so far, these teams are looking REALLY good. Both teams have weapons on their offense, defense & special teams! I got to give props to Vernon Davis of the 49ers Offense & Jay Cutler of the Broncos Offense. Surprising teams this year...I say both teams are developing into play-off teams.....What do you think about these teams?

I agree, and Im a Pats fan, That those calls were BS. I mean, Brady can take a Hit if Taylor can (And Taylor should be bale to take a hit.)

Discussion 1: Overall it is obvious that this team misses Troy Polamalu. I didn't think this team would struggle as much as it has and be 2-2 at this point and 3rd in their division. True they gave up two late touchdowns against the Chargers yesterday, but it wasn't about how bad their D played in the 4th, the bigger deal is how well the Offense actually looked yesterday. They dominated the Chargers and put points on the board that normally this offensive unit wouldn't have. If Roethlisberger and the Offense playes this level of offense consistently, and the Defense gets back to form when Troy returns, then this team will bounce back and be a threat in the AFC.
Discussion 2: The hugging didn't bother me. After a horrible off season where, even I'll admit I thought the Broncos would implode and have a horrible year, I have been proven wrong so far. It looks like both the Broncos and Bears made out well with the QB trades.
Discussion 3: I might go as far as to say the Saints are the best team in the NFC conference after the first 1/4 of the season, but not the best in the NFL. I'm still going to say the Baltimore Ravens are the best. Even after their loss yesterday, It was a winnable game, and one I feel they should have one. But do to questionable calls (Bad) which led to two Patriots touchdowns, and a dropped pass on 4th down which if caught would have given the Ravens first and goal with 28 seconds left, this team would be 4-0 and I don't think anyone would really question that they are the best. A small bump in the road for the Ravens, but one I think they will overcome and show when they take on and beat division rival, 3-1 Bengals next week.
Discussion 4: Granted, I think there should be a limited amount of protection for the QB, but where that line should be has been stepped across a long time ago. It was unfortunate what happened to Brady last year, but injuries happen, period. These guys get paid the big bucks because they take the risks, you don't see nearly as much protection rules being issued to other possitions nearly as much as the QB one. Sometimes a guy deliberately is roughing the passer and should be flagged and fined, but many calls have been bad or questionable at times. Let them play football.
Discussion 5: It's amazing how close this team is to being 2-2 or even 3-1 right now. The Titans really aren't a bad team, and I think the fans are over reacting with the '0-4' paper bags over their heads. Yes yesterday was a bad day for Titan fans, but many other teams have it worse off. This team could be 0-6 going into the bye with tough games ahead against Indianapolis and New England, after that the schedule gets much easier, they take on a weak NFC West division, and struggling Miami, Buffalo, and San Diego. Will they be able to bounce back and match their record from last year? No. Can they still bounce back and make a potential run at the playoffs? I think it is still possible. Even though no team has ever started the season 0-4 and made it to the playoffs, this team has the talent and potential, and an easy enough second half of the season to make a run for it.
Discussion 6: It is nice to see the 49ers are playing as well as they are, (At least defensively) The Bears are doing well too. But I still have to say the three WoW teams on my list are the Denver Broncos, Cincinatti Bengals, and N.Y. Jets I thought after the off season implosion of the Broncos would lead to a horrible 09' season, now many people who labled the AFC West a sure divisional win for the Chargers are seeing a fight that will give them a run for their money. The Bengals are playing much better than I expected too. And they are one fluke TD play away from being 4-0. And I'll give credit to Mark Sanchez too. Yesterday might have been a humbling experience for him, but he is this years Matt Ryan and Joe Flacco. I didn't doubt Rex Ryan or Sanchez, but I didn't expect to see this team play as well as they are so soon. I thought we wouldn't see signs of this team playing this good till the second half of the season.
Bonus topic: Detroit might have lost yesterday, but still played the Bears very well, up till the 4th quarter. But now that the Lions got their win, there is another team that has quietly snuck up and are threatening to surpass the Lions loosing streak. The St. Louis Rams are bad, bad, bad bad,... oh, did I forget to mention that they are bad? Two shut outs in their first 4 games, only 24 points scored so far, and dating back to last season they are on a 14 game loosing streak. Just 5 behind the lions 19 game streak. Though this team does have some potentially winnable games, like their November 1st game against the Lions, their schedule is pretty rough for a team this bad. It is possible that this team can surpass the lions loosing streak, go 0-16, and set the record for most consecutive regular season losses in a row.

I agree Japanese...
Everyone gets injured ...Why QBs have so much protection these days? Is it because of the money invested in them? Bleh! Injuries happen. Why did they just notice it when Brady got hurt last year?

Why did they just notice it when Brady got hurt last year? i don't think it's any big mysteries why they are overly protected. I do not disagree with the issue of safety, but if so, shouldn't that be applied to all players. it was then that it appears to me that people pay $$$$ to watch these QBs perform. So if they keep getting sidelined and their respective teams suck, people stop going to watch them play... so yeah, i think at the end of the day, it's about $$$$.
