ok, so normally i feel that age is irrelevant. i mean, i've had arthritis since i was a kid. i can't eat anything without it talking back to me. there are days when it's easy to believe that i've had a stroke or alzhiemers. i'm not really that old now, though considered past middle age. but i have noticed that it takes a little longer to recover from those things that i used to consider a good time (what a drag). and there are a lot of things that i find difficult to describe to some of the offspring's friends that i used to get a kick out of - 8-track tapes, lp's, bell bottoms... watching technology, society, and style change back and forth, then listening to grandpa's take on it (he's 90 this year). and, i can just about relate. never mind discussing medical problems like most people discuss the weather. the kids asking me to compare 'things way back when i was a kid' (i swore i'd never do that to them). that's a kicker. yeah, it makes me wonder sometimes.
