This is a place for all the musicians to chat about food... Music, I mean music XD. I'm working on the song Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground by the white Stripes. It's fairly easy but fun.

i have the same problem. when im trying to figure something out i get the tabs and listen to the song till i get it. i dont even play with a metronome. im so unrefined XD

I only use a metronome when the sheet gives me instructions ^^ Like 128bpm or 160bpm or whatever. Otherwise I just use my feet. Or waggle my toes. XD

lol i dont even do that i just memorize the beat from ear lol. so 180bpm or 200bpm means nothing to me lol

lol onix i didn't mean that i'm a human metronome~
i just go 'slow', 'medium', 'slightly fast', and 'fast'. (my speed settings)
Sorta like "That sounds about right."

lol are you serious? i use them for that since there is a specific speed i have to be over. Well if you're not taking any exams I guess it's okay.

I play piano and i take like half an hour to decipher one single note on the music sheet.... Dont use a metronome it distracts me too much... No clues how you could decipher notes by ear... sorry

find it awesome that I can sight read:
Tuba
viola
Chelo
French horn
Trumpet
Clarinet
Obo
Bassoon
and Flute
near perfectaly but I fail hardcore whenever I try to sight read piano music
