Zedekiah loped along through the chilled morning in the shadowed trees, the frozen leaves crunching beneath his paws. They'd thaw out again by this afternoon, for they only were this cold as the night faded away into the day. He let out a breath through his nose, the white air fading away before his face. He had left his niece to find food again. It was a daily routine as of now and he didn't truly mind. Moving along, he didn't notice the scents of any other wolves about, so he easily kept his peace.
--------------------------
Not far away a silver male moved through the forest, his tredding careful and controled. He knew Zedekiah was in the area...finally he had found who he was looking for. He couldn't be seen, however. Zede was far stronger than he-and more experienced. He would have to watch and wait for his chance.

Winter wasn't, of course, far off from this black colored male. It wasn't abnormal these days to find her floating around the same areas that Zede could be found in, so again it wasn't much of a surprise to find her here right now, trailing after the brute with that nose and wagging tail of hers. He'd been one of the few that she had continously run into, which had led her to wanting to at least somewhat wanting his company. However it was merely for the company than anything else.
After a few more minutes, that shadowy figure finally was caught in the cerulean blue eyes that belonged to this white sheila, causing that usual grin of hers to spread across her muzzle. Within a moment her 'stealth' and 'sneaky' mode switched to a high, and in an instant Winter was seen stalking across the forest floor, keeping down decently low in order to follow behind before finally making her move.
Eyes fixed upon his figure, almost debating inwardly if she wanted to pounce on.. him or well.. his tail? Hm. Such a difficult position she managed to find herself in. It slowed down her pace momentarily, however rather quickly it picked up once again, for fear of maybe loosing him once again. Making her mind up in an instant, Winter broke into a sprint.
"Yeeeeee-haw!" She screamed, mid air after leaping from behind Zede, obviously trying to pounce his entire figure, rather than just his tail. His tail would come later, however for now she'd attempt to keep herself focused on him.
However like Zede, Winter had become oblivious of this.. silver male that was waiting just a small distance away. Too caught up in the moment, it hadn't occured that someone may be peering from afar.

Zede's ear flickered backward as he heard her coming. Unaware of his intentions, he meerly turned his head slightly to look back at her with emerald orbs to see her jumping at him! He took the attack fairly easily and let himself be knocked over by the impact. Winter was smaller then he, and if he had tried to stay standing they would not be among the leaves right now. He snorted, trying to get a leaf from his face, "Winter...good morning."
---------------
The silver male watched intensely. Who was this female who suddenl apeared? Was she a friend of Zedekiah's? He decided to wait and see.

"Psh.. Good morning..? I pounce you and that's all I get?" Winter stated, bottom lip moving forward into a visible pout Oh well.. at least she'd managed to knock him over, or at least that's how she had thought. "Ah well.. mornin! Whatcha up to?" She questioned, lip moving back into place while a large, grinny smile replaced that silly little pouty face.
"Out hunting again, I'm sure?" She added upon pondering over the situation momentarily. Whenever she found him, Zede always managed to be hunting for his niece. Perhaps she was old enough to be taught how to, though..? However if her lessons went anything like Winters.. she might be finding herself counting on Zede for food for quite a while.
Hopefully that wouldn't happen, though. Maybe she was more into the hunting thing than she. Despite these thoughts, the white sheila's mind had been taken hold of by that leaf, which immediatly halted all other thoughts momentarily. With an even larger grin, the female quickly ducked down, grabbing a large handful of leaves with her muzzle before depositing them on top of Zede's face. "Who's winning? You? Or the leaves?" She giggled, ears flicking forward.

Zede opened his jaws and blew on the leaves with his breath. They'd float up only to fall back down again onto his face rather comicly. Finally he snorted and shook his head, doing his best to shake them off, "I think they are." After getting rid of most of them he rested his head on the ground, "As for what I was doing...hunting for Ava again, though I've been giving her lessons of late."

"Hm. Trying to teach someone else, hm? Hopefully you'll manage with her better than I," Winter laughed quietly, meanwhile raising one of her ivory colored paws. "And y'know.. it's really not that normal to be beaten by leaves.. kind of sad, really," While speaking, the sheila pawed momentarily at the males face, silently sweeping away the few remaining leaves.
"So. I don't suppose you ever do anything but.. hunt? Honestly every time I manage to track you down and knock ya over that's always what you're doing," She mumbled, quirking a brow while a mild c**k to her head was given. Yes. He always seemed like he was out hunting. "Hm. What'll you do when Ava learns, hm? You're lifes purpose will be completely run out since she won't need you to hunt anymore," The female mused, attempting to add a sort of.. weak grin to the scenario.
"OH, shoot.. I suppose you want up.. geh.. kick me the next time I stand on top of you for longer than.. let's say two minutes, kay?" She grumbled, slowly retreating backwards and to the side. This was said rather randomly.. or maybe instead offhandedly, however Winter hadn't thought much of it.

Zede surged upward into a sitting position, shaking his fur out. He glanced back at her with emerald orbs and then glanced out into the trees, "To be honest...I don't know what I'll do. Stay with her, I suppose..." He let out a breath and shook his head, a smile tugging at the corner of his mouth at Winter's random remarks she seemed to make. They were very amusing...so different from his conversations with Ava. It was very refreshing when he got to talk with the female.

A grin tugged at Winter's muzzle as she stared in the direction of the large, ebony male. "I saw that," She mused, brows arching upwards, refering to the half hearted smile he'd slipped. "Anyway, might I suggest you find yourself a nice pretty lass..? Might ease up time a bit. At least.. that's how it is when I'm around guys.. usually..." She stated, however gave little time to answer until she began speaking once more. "Besides.. it'd give you time to yourself.. sort of.. In a stupid, corny sort of way."
With that, the sheila moved forward, silently walking forward into the underbrush. "Ah well. Least you're not as.. crazy as when I first met you.. baby steps, I think. You need a girl, mate," She smirked, momentarily showing off a fake Australian sort of accent. "I dunno.. you might be rusty.. how old're you again..?" She grinned, knowing of course that this was.. rude, to say the least. However it was a mere joke, she didn't exactly expect him to answer. "Neh. Nevermind. It's hopeless, you're probably older than my dad would've been if he were here," She laughed, taking a brief glance over her shoulder.

Zede snorted, "If I'm a old man you'd be pretty old yourself...we're not that far appart in age, remember?" He shifted, his ears twitching thoughtfully, "Even so...I'm not sure that would do me any good." Family had always been his first priority. His duty always came first and after that well...he'd never had a whole lot of free time his old pack. There had always been something he could do to help out.

"We are not.. we're a few months apart, at the least," Winter retorted, muse held even still in that often playful like tone of hers. "And no, no.. trust me.. a girl would do you wooooorlds of good.. Well.. maybe, anyway. There really aren't any guarentees or anything.." She grinned, again shooting a quick glance past her shoulder. "Seriously. Then you'd have someone else to take care of after Ava's off on her own picking up guys and having fun with friends or something. Plus. Having new people to hang around always proves useful in someway or another, right?" She continued, picking up her speed. Hmmm.. perhaps a game of chase..? See just how fast he can run, hm?
With a quiet giggle, Winter shot off like a bullet with the wind through the scattered and battered trees, leaping over fallen logs and shrubs along the way. "C'mon old man! Can't keep up?!" She called, her voice echoing through the canopy and mingling in the air momentarily while she sped. Yes, another taunt. Maybe it'd get him moving, x)

Zede let out a breath through his maw, shaking his head at her antics. With a rumbled, low voiced sigh he sprung into motion. He raced after her at a quick, powerful speed that seemed natural for a wolf of his bulk and muscles power. However, he wasn't as agile as her, so if she chose to do any moving among close tree's he'd have more diffculty. He wasn't sure why he gave chase...perhaps it was because he had nothing better to do.

"Psssh.. that all the faster you can go?" She called louder, as of now just speeding a long in a straight line. "See, I should run around in a circle and then hide! See if the master can hunt me down?" Winter grinned, again peeking a glance behind her shoulder.
Such an ammature mistake.. never look behind you while running around in a forest, XD
With a quick snap of her head back into reality, a loud yelp was released, head ducking and just barely skimming the base of a low branch of course so conveniently planted in her way. "Phew.. close one.." She panted, shaking her head briefly before veering to the left, pivoting rather quickly in order to move in another direction. "Zeeeeede..." She taunted, though didn't even dare to take her eyes off the path in front of her again.

Zede quickened his step as he heard her cry from almost being hit, checking to see if she was ok. When she came into view she seemed find, so he slowed back down to his easy paced run. It didn't seem that he was actually trying to catch her. He wasn't sure what he was doing, to be honest. He heard her taunts and didn't pay much attention to them, having never been easily provoked in that sense.

Meh.. he wasn't even trying.. "Alrighty then.." She murmured quietly under her panting breath, eyes silently searching amongst the trees and foliage. Aha! Dodging to the side once again, the sheila ducked low, hopefully being covered and hidden by the dense plants and undergrowth while she scampered in a crouched position towards a particularly thick patch of greens. Toddling behind them, Winter hid. Waiting to watch him pass or perhaps the sound of the steady beat of paws against the earthy soil. Maybe the snap of a twig, rustle of the leaves.. some sign of him nearing.

Zede caught her scent and heard her movements rather easily. He decided to take a short cut, and slightly looped around behind the female with his careful sense of stealth that was almost a habit at this point in his life. He came up behind her, not really understanding why she hid, "Tired of running are we?"
