Beyond the main foyer, there is a hallway. Go down this, take the stairs up one level, and turn to the left. A small sign hangs on the third door to your right.
Historian's Office
If you proceed to actually open this door, you will behold a room that seems more like a large closet than an actual office. The "office" is simply furnished; there is only a desk and a few file cabinets. If you are lucky, the green haired historian herself will be there, sitting at her desk, hunched over some old document.
Hello, and welcome to the thread. I've decided to create a place devoted to the history of Modism! Here, I'll be keeping track of Church related threads and such. Also, this is yet another place for us to be in character. So join me in keeping our history alive!

Katane sits at her desk, her brow furrowed in concentration. The object of her focus was a manila folder, contents open for her to see. She sighs, closes the folder, and stands up to file the documents away.
Just my luck that I get the refurbished storage closet for an office.....
Realizing that there is no way even a skinny girl like her could fit the space between the desk and the wall, she ackwardly climbs over the furniture, mumbling a few choice curses as she knocks over the small desk lamp.
It's a tough job, but someone's gotta do it.
Slighty ruffled, she opens a file cabinet, and stores the papers safely away. She sighs softly, leaning against the cabinet for a moment of rest.

Spiral enters, looking slightly distraught and nervous, as if he has remembered something that is best left forgotten Sister Katane I was wondering if you could help me with some research I am conducting...what can you tell me about the other sects of modism...different sects of our church. Is there a specific file that could help me? Even what you know personally would help.

I don't know much of the other sects. Information on these religions are scarce, as the members themselves rarely speak of it. I think I have a list somewhere.....
Katane rummages about in a deskdrawer, mumbling something about an old filing system.
Ah, here we go!
She hands Spiral a sheet of paper with a list on it.
"Neo-Norism Pseudopagan Neo-Norism Norabhuddism Panmodism Modca Modcraftianism Anti-dessertistism?"
I don't have much more information on the subject, but if you want, I could direct you to people who could tell you more about it.

Well, I do know of 2 people who practice one of these sects. Chibi Otaku is a Norabhuddist monk, and Deandriea is a Panmodist witch. I see them around now and then, but they don't come to the church very often.

*wanders in, and looks around*
um...nice set up...a little cramped though *smile* You know I would have given you space off the library complex for this, right?

Katane smiles back, a little wryly.
Tell me about it. But I have to admit - it has grown on me. It's nice having my own little place to do my work......

Katane sits at her desk, writing quietly in her journal. She is recording the events of the day, absentmindedly munching on chocolates from a large heart shaped box.

Shinji walks in and looks around. She glances at all the files and all the work. In her hands she held a small try of tea and cookies.
"Dear sister, I have a small snack for you from the coffee shop. I was wondering if you could directme to the beginings of the church and how it became as established as it it."

Katane looks up from her work, and smiles at the newcomer.
How nice of you! I'll have to visit your shop sometime!
Stuffing her chocolates into a drawer, she puts the tray of cookies in their place. She tries one, finding it much to her satisfaction.
Those are very good. Did you make them yourself? As for the establishment of the church, a lot of information can be found in that file cabinet.
She points to a cabinet labeled The First Church of Mod.
And if that doesn't have answers to your questions, I'll try to ferret them out myself for you.
