The Peregrine
The broken ship

The ship's exterior is looking pretty battered. The paint is weathered and in some places pockmarked and burnt from its rough trip to the ground, the local vegetation is making a serious bid to creep its way up the hull unless kept firmly in check, there is a charred crater where one of the engines used to be and the landing gear is pretty much ripped to shreds... The interior, however, is still serviceable. The Dominant Artificial Intelligence System (DAIS, nicknamed Daisy) is offline. However, the SAIS (Secondary Artificial Intelligence Systems) for several of the ship's systems are still in order, and the reactor powering the whole shebang continues to run. The lights are on in the hallways, the galley's appliances will still cook lunch (though it is still unappetizing ship food), the medical bay is still online in case you shoot yourself in the foot... There's even still climate control to the crew quarters, though after the months-long journey in the cramped quarters, do you really want to keep living in there? In short, it will sustain life in a pinch, though it's nothing to write home about (not that you could, anyway -- OH IRONY).

Endeavour
First steps

Less of a city, more of a loose collection of buildings, this settlement grew almost organically as the human colonists prepared for the long haul. First a few homes, then some workshops, then more and more... It's now approximately three miles wide, with the Peregrine at the rough center. Organization is relatively haphazard, an inevitable consequence of the general way in which it was built. On the whole, if you want a building to live or work in, your Captains and fellow crew will help, but it's on you to figure out where and how. None of the buildings are tremendously large, and it's strongly encouraged to stay close to the ship, but beyond that... Most are assembled from the materials or prefabricated sets aboard the ship. As supplies of those run slim, however, more and more use the resources to be found on Sartnys to build. Surprisingly, the colony project worked, and Endeavour is pretty much completely self-sufficient -- the outskirts have an assortment of agricultural fields, both traditional and hydroponic and both native and Earth crops.
For reasons that have not been adequately explained, a few crew members persist on affectionately referring to it as "Wild Endeavour".

Jhala Vari
City of stained glass

Ah-ah. That would be telling.
