What was your first car, what did you eventually buy with your own money, and what car are you *realistically* going to get?

First car: When i was 16. a 1991 Mazda 323 hatchback. 87 horsepower to the wheels and front wheel drive automatic! w00t!

Current condition of the car:
Now has a 1.8L BP-Turbo engine swapped, Wiseco pistons, B6T rods, ARP head studs, 3-angle valve job, remanufactured head, HKS intercooler/bov, blahblahblah.... and manual transmission conversion. approx.182 horsepower to the wheels. *pending dyno results when i have the $$$.

Once the car is built engine/interior/exterior as how i like it, I intend on putting on gaia logos and putting it in a car show as well as on 'mischief'.

Car I intend to purchase:
Lexus LS430 or LS460.

The Lexus is more 'mature' in terms of appeal since i'm a marketing associate that does a lot of travelling and contracts.

First Car: 1987 Plymouth Voyager. Gun metal Grey. V8 engine. Has a huge silver grill made for a truck, that somehow landed on my Van. Tinted Windows. Cd player. 197,000 miles on it, Great sound system, Shag carpet. A real war machine, lol. I took out the middle seats so that most of my friends can fit inside. I miss those High School Roadtrips. Good times....

Current Car: 2003 Honda Accord Ex Coupe. 250 hp due to some slight mods. Nothing major. Crimson Red. 18" tires. Killer Sound/GPS system. 95,000 miles. Leather interior. This is my baby. Soon I'm going to get some new rims/tires, update the alarm/gps/stereo system, install a cold air intake system, maybe perform an engine swap... maybe, oh and paint it black..

My next car? A black Nissan 370z. Its fast, quiet, and so freakin sexy, lol!

My first car was a "Pea" green Ford Pinto. Remember those? The passenger seat was broken and would slide back and forth as I drove unless there was a passenger and then they had better buckle in! xp
Now I drive a 06 Chevy Aveo. Very easy to park which I love because I can park places that others can't. It is also a stick shift which is fun to drive. I bought it when it was brand new with only 26.2 miles on it and I am still happy with it.

First car: forest green 1971 Chevrolet Caprice, paid $100 in 1977. So much fun and so much growing up. 16MPG, too.

Current car: red 2000 Saturn SL, paid too much for it last summer, but it gets 37MPG without me trying anything fancy.

Current truck: blue 2001 Chevrolet Silverado, paid too much for it last winter. Lousy 11 MPG on a good tankful.

Favorite car: 1998 Geo Metro LSI, 51 MPG hiway, 42 MPG city and a lot of attitude! Where are these cars today??

Car I've owned the most of: 9 Ford Escorts, various years and various body styles. People hated these cars, practically gave them to me (one girl DID give me hers but I paid her my last $30 knowing I could fix it), and with all 9, I got no less than 15,000 miles from each (one went 150,000 miles!) for an average of $400 per car. Usually got 33 MPG. Go ahead, gimme 'nother one! I LIKE SPAM!

My worst car ever: 1983 Toyota Tercel 1.5L engine, 5 speed. Cold in the winter, car couldn't get out of its own way, expensive parts, never got more than 33 MPG when I had a good run. The 9 Ford Escorts ALL had bigger engines (2@ 1.6L, 7@ 1.9L) and ALL got better MPG that that lame Tercel; couldn't get ANY tires for it either. "Get a Toyota!" they all said, "Tercels are GREAT!" they all said. P'tooh. The rear defroster broke... rear seat was hard as a rock... backup light switch was $80... P'tooh. Junk. I'd take a Pea Green Pinto over a Tercel, any day.

i didn't learn how to drive until i was 19, so i was already married when i got my first car.

it was a 1976 chevy luv. ha-ha, it was, like, the worst car ever! defroster didn't work, seat belts only worked half the time, duct tape held the battery in and it came in the lovely color of rust and orange.
so very ugly...

my current car is a 2006 mitsubishi lancer. nothing too fancy, but i like it. heart

honestly, i dont really have a dream car. umm, maybe a black mustang cobra. or hey, what's that car that daniel craig is driving in the new james bond movie? i'd take that. rofl

First was a 77 Pontiac Sunbird. Burn Orange with pinstripes... I put fog lights all over that thing.

I currently have an 02 Honda Odyssey, I love vans, but I would prefer to have Chevy Astros back again.

My first car was a little 4-cyl. Eagle Talon, and I called her "The Bird" Gad, I had MORE fun with that thing than you can imagine.... unfortunately had to junk her a few years ago. LOL would give my eyeteeth to have another one! The only thing with That old Talon is that she sat real low to the ground and was NOT the greatest when we had any amount of snow. On a hot, sunny day it was fun, though, to have the moonroof and the windows open, blasting the radio and tearing up some strip of highway!

LOL ~ my first car was also a green Ford Pinto... light green and very oxidized... used to drive down the freeway at 70-80 and was never pulled over - not that I didn't pass the state patrol a few times... guess they just couldn't believe what they were seeing. rofl

Now owns a Huyundi Accent and a Chevy S10 4x4... my dream vehicle would be a Honda Ridgeline truck - large backseat for the kiddies, and a trunk in the bed. heart

My first car was a 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. Man, I loved that truck. My mom has it now, so I still get to drive it every once in a while.

Second car was a 2006 Saturn Ion. Very basic model. Crank windows, and no power key-fob. Liked it well enough, but I was too lazy to keep cranking the windows and stuff. lol blaugh

My current car is a 2001 Chrysler Sebring LXi. Black leather interior, and power seats. Ooooooh lala.

The car I really want: Either a Mazda 6, or a Chevy Suburban. I know. Complete contrast. I want something zippy, or something big and powerful.

My first car was given by my grandfather - a Vauxhall Chevette (not to be confused with a Chevy Chevette). Two tone brown & gold, 1983 registration, rust bucket - but had Redcar beach sand in the ventilation system and in the sun it smelled of old summer holidays.

My second car I bought off my cousin - a 1997 VW Polo. Lasted me 4 or 5 years before starting to get unreliable.

My latest car (bought last year) is another Polo, this time 2004. Still has a tape deck so I can plug in my MP3 player smile

Realistically, cars of this size are all I need. Unrealistically, I would love to own a 1982 Pontiac TransAm (black, naturally). I say unrealistically, because the nearest spare parts place for Pontiac is London, the brand just went belly-up and I don't have a drive, never mind one long enough to park that car on...

Nope, she was just a regular 4-cyl.... maybe it's a GOOD thing that she didn't have turbo - inherited a bit of a leadfoot and for sure would have gotten a soeeding ticket by now! whee

Right now I'm driving my Mum's 6-cyl '88 Buick Regal that she passed to me. She's a big gal and built for comfort, but she's NO billygoat. On a nice strip of flat road, she will walk away from ya, though - you can wind up doing 75-80 mph without knowing it! redface The big difference between her and the Talon is that she is bigger, heavier and higher off the ground, so she's way better as a winter car. If it REALLY gets hot out, I like the AC!

Ha ha! A 1973 Ford Pinto here! Navy Blue with a bright yellow passenger door. It was so much of a rust bucket that the driver's seat had to be propped up with some 2x4's! Got a little drafty in Michigan winter months though. And I just loved that automatic floor console! That little car was so fun to drive!

Currently drive a 6-cylinder Grand Jeep Cherokee, white with tan interior. Got this after years of driving Vans, so I just LOVE the pick-up in this one! Does not get very good gas millage, but it is so much fun to drive!

Next vehicle: Another Jeep, of course! (I hope!)
