Jeff Garcia was signed to the Oakland Raiders on Monday. And I gotta say... I'm impressed. Garcia will be an excellent mentor for JaMarcus Russell, and if I was Russell, I would listen to every damn word Garcia has to say, cause if he doesnt, I say his career is over.

I wouldnt say that if he doesnt listen his career is over, he just needs to get to a team that is not a graveyard for QB's.

Believe me, Garcia has every intention to start, because he is just that competitive! Btw, Raiders... the more things change, the more the stay the same.

Russell will probably be the starting Raiders QB, and Jeff Garcia will be an easy #2. Garcia can still start for many teams (including the Buccaneers), but I think that Al Davis wants Russell to start and begin a major growing process. He should learn from Garcia as much as he can.

I think Garcia should have gone to the vikings and won us a god damned super bowl.
We aren't getting one of those from Sage Rosenfels, I can tell you that much.

Quit bitching about Sage. The Bears havent a single great quarterback until they got Jay Cutler, They've had some good and okay ones, but none Great. Minnesota just has to win it with a running game and a strong defense, like the Ravens did in 2000.

He's not much of an upgrade from Jackson or Frerotte, and remember that they still have Booty on their roster. They actually could have waited for Cutler or Cassel to be on the market, because they are a QB and another WR away from being a serious contender. ...And you can't really compare the Vikings defense now to the Ravens' of 2000, which was one of the best ever.

True. But its still good, I was just pointing out the two really good parts of their team. Anyone hear that A.P wants to put on some pounds? he wants to go from 217 to 230 so he can start running over people.

Yeah, man, A.P is the best in the league. Not by too far, but he's a great running back. He'd be even better if they had a good passing game to let up some of the pressure on him. Personally though, I'm a huge Brian Westbrook fan. Yeah, he gets injured. Bu that doesnt stop the fact that he's pulling a close second behind A.P, because he's just so damn effective in that pass game since he's so fast and he's not that big.

Adrian Peterson is great, but he should worry about his fumbling problems before he starts thinking about trucking people. Although he's tough, he's just not that type of player.

That'll shorten his career more too. He can add some weight & maintain his speed but he shouldn't try to become a truck. We already lost Barry Sanders too early, don't need to lose AP too

Barry left cause he wanted to, not due to injury of anything like that, he said he did not want to try to prolong his career like most players, he knew it was time and he left

Sir, this is exactly why I b***h about sage rosenfels. We could have Garcia, one of the best leaders you could ask for, but we have Sage instead. There were quite a few QB's we passed up on that would put us in superbowl contention. As for AP putting on pounds, no. He'll lose a little speed and elusiveness, and I'm not cool with that. He can bowl people over as it is, he doesn't need to overdo it.
