Personality/Background: Often cold and standoffish, Erebus comes across as a cranky old snake. That assumption isn't too far off the mark, but like any with a heart of stone there is an underlying depth. There are certain things that can move him to compassion, but he tends not to show it. Erebus is mostly calm, even when angry.
Erebus was born long ago in an area of the world that holds the border between a lush jungle and an arid desert. He grew up in this place, rarely seen by any mortals, and developed a skill as a shaman and healer for his tribe. The naga lead a rather normal life, living amongst his kind and eventually taking a wife, until the last vestiges of the human race hit the land that they called their country. There was a "purge" of inhuman things that most did not escape from alive and that reached every creature in the land. After this genocide, Erebus found himself eventually wandering away from his home and living a nomadic life for the few decades it took for humankind to spread to every area of the world. He came to North Point Academy after night creatures were accepted to attend and became the school doctor. Erebus sometimes substitutes for other teachers.

NagaAbilities: Erebus can take the form of a black python if need be, namely for escape or to move beneath someone's radar. Unfortunately, he is only about 2 1/2 feet long when in this form. He is adept when it comes to injuries, but he is limited by a low level of magic. In short, if a student has a cut he'll clean and bandage it before magically healing it.
