Gunman busts in and opens fire on a class of immigrants taking a citizenship class, sounds to me like he may have been a nationalist nutjob. My guess is that he is one of those types that doesn't like people from other countries coming in, probably under the rationale that they will screw everything up.

He himself was a Vietnamese immigrant.
