Yeah, this was announced on St. Patrick's Day.
...But I think it was more of a political appreciation move, since Rooney supported Obama in his road to being elected President.

just another guy who petitioned for Obama and now has a cushy side job. Kind of curious here. Especially since the owner had wanted to be the amabassador for a long time and had asked the last two presidents if he could.

Especially since the owner had wanted to be the amabassador for a long time and had asked the last two presidents if he could. Oh, I never knew he asked to be the Irish ambassador before. Anyways, Dikembe Mutombo should be our ambassador to Africa, with all his charity work.

But the thing is there are several countries in Africa and they can be ambassadors to many Yeah, I was just thinking about it in a general sense. Mutombo is from Congo, and there's only so much you can do to improve a country like that.
