((Will get into color later))
Cygnus Araña had pretty well come to the end of his ropes in the Pride Lands. It wasn't that the lions he'd met hadn't been nice or anything. They'd just been... Really odd... and... well... But...
Ugh.
It wasn't like he had too much of a choice. He'd wandered until he'd found the ocean, then started wandering back. He hadn't meant to retrace his steps... As a matter of fact he hadn't.
And he was arguing with Valcor about it. "No. Nah-uh, there's no way I've been here." --- "What? What cub, the vine one?" -- "Oh. Her." -- "I have not!" --- "I would not!" --- "That is ridiculous." -- "I'm not talking to you anymore!"
Cygnus huffed at the argument he'd just had and flopped himself on the ground, looking thoroughly irritated.
He hadn't wanted to retrace his steps. How was he going to find a thing if he did foolish things like that?

A young figure dashed about in quick zigzags chasing after a butterfly. She hadn't been able to get out of the den due to the weather lately but once she was out she was on the move. Her flakes flew in the wind as she flapped her wings to chase the bug in the sky. She was fairly new to flyinf so when she did, it was a bit wobbly. She tittered side to side but kept her balance as she darted left to right but the but was long gone by that time. She was just wanted to fly. Her father had recently taught her to so why not test it out.
After a few moments she was out of breath and her wings were trembling from the exercise. She landed on the ground and looked at the ground. Her face was flushed with excitment and her breath came in pants.

Cygnus leaped up in surprise at the crash, eyes wide as he looked around for the source of it. When he spotted Teagan, he gave her a cautious look, and then a curious one. With his head and body stretched-forward in a typical curious-feline posture he sniffed from his distance at the figure.
"The sky has ripped open and dropped a lioness practically at my feet!" He finally declared, deciding that the female was both not harmful and very likely the one he and Valcor had just been arguing about. "Is she unharmed?"

Teagan looked up to see the butterfly calming flapping it's wings on her nose. She swatted at it, irritation on her features, a look her mother normaly had. She got to her feet and shook off the dirt on her pelt with a hmph sound as the butterfly fluttered away.
"Yeah you better run." She yelled at it and pouted as she plopped down on the ground. Being her fathers child she always felt like she would win every battle but her current state, that wasn't true. She was still small and she was always pinned when she wrestled with her brothers. It was getting exhasting being around the family too much.
She hmph again before shaking the dirt off her coat in a annoyed fashioned before looking at where she landed. SHe did take a rough fall but in all truth, she was fine.

Cygnus watched Teagan with a bemused expression as she apparently didn't hear his words at all. He started to grin widely at her antics, but fell short of all out laughter for not wanting to offend.
He crept closer, "Well, I can't believe a butterfly would intrude in on your personal space. Did the fall hurt you in any way?" He nodded, "And is it Teagan I am addressing?"

Teagan sneered as she heard a voice and was about to turn around and snap at the person but as she turned to look at the intruder a look flashed across her face. She knew who he was, she just couldn't put her finger on it.
"Yeah, I'm Teagan." She muttered then shook her head, her white hair fluttering.
"No, im not hurt just getting used to the wings."

Cygnus nodded, "You are one of the fortunate few. Now you no longer need to worry about strangers and face the perils of getting stuck into trees! Perhaps you will be the hero that saves us from the sort."

Teagan chuckled and her tail flickered. "If I remember correctly, you saved me from that 'rogue' lion." She smiled and giggled softly and shook her head lightly.
"A hero, Cygnus? Naw. Not me." She smirked lightly and circled around him with a smile.
"How have you been?"

Cygnus Araña chuckled, "It was my duty to protect a young one from the world's dangers."
He took a breath to answer her question. "I have been traversing this land and running into the weirdest of individuals. I don't think the Pride Lands has but a few genuinely real lions."
As a matter of fact, Teagan both fell into that category and didn't. The only reason he was able to take her wings into stride was for all the other nut jobs he had met. Her personality was pleasant though, and that made her perfectly 'genuinely real' in his book.
"It seems you have been doing a lot of growing up, I see." He smiled, "You have no need of strangers saving you from strangers any longer. Other than that and flight practice, how has life treated you?"
That really was something he was curious about. What sort of life did these Pride Land lions have? Strange ones, all of them!

Teagan sat down a few feet away from him and giggled once more at his words. It was true. Since her father was always out and about she tended to cause much ruckus. She cocked her head to the side as he spoke of his travels and she secretly wished she could travel without her father blowing a nerve. She nodded lightly at his comment on her growing and she flashed her wings once more, a big smile on her lips.
"That I have!" She grinned then at his comment, she just shrugged her shoulders.
"Boring. My whole family are...just weirdos kinda... I avoid being seen with them sometimes. But you can't help what family you were born into." She grinned and nodded cheerfully.
"But I wish I could but that's far gone now."

"You would be wrong not to think of yourself as a beautiful young lady!" The spider-lion praised as Teagan showed off.
Cygnus Araña nodded a bit as he agreed with Teagan's words. "Not a bit of choice, though it is possible to choose family as you go on. You should keep an eye out for new family member possibilities." He winked a bit. "Find some more exciting but less weird, eh?"

A grin of pure pride curled her lips and she rose her head, shaking her hair as he called her a beautiful young lady. That was a grand compliment. Her eyes went back to him as he spoke and she cocked her head and moved closer to him curiously.
"New family members? You obviously haven't ran into my father." She snorted and shook her head sitting besides him. Her father was completely against her ever leaving the family and her mother just nodded boredly along with her father.

"There is nothing wrong with a father looking to protect his family." Cygnus Araña murmured. "Weird or not, it sounds you are fortunate. That is better than his allowing others to come along and destroy your home and you." He sighed, thinking of what had happened with his little colony of spider-friends, and what it might have been like had there been others around to help protect.
He shook his head. "But then, it makes it difficult to have great adventures that way." It was spoken to himself, for as much as he missed home, and as much as he found himself worried he'd wandered into the wrong lands, it certainly had been an interesting trip. No one would believe the creatures he had met here!
"Well, little lovely winged one, you are of age anyway to begin looking for ways to wander out of your cove of protection. Scorning your family isn't advisable, but not permitting your own suffocation is. I'm sure you'll figure out the right balance."
His eyes started to twinkle mischievously. "Sort of like learning how to fly and face unknown strangers, hmm?"
OOC: End soon and pick up on one with her being adult?
