I've been thinking, we are almost at the end of the Halo series. All thats left is Halo Wars and Halo ODST (Sadly offically announced on Bungie.net). Both do not have John-117 it them. And now, our favorite hero is drifting to an unkown planet in space with no way to return. Do you think there may be a chance for us to see his face this late into the game?

There is no reason for the MC to reveal his face.

lol, you could just read the books, he looks fairly normal, brown hair (marnie buzz), pail because of wearing armor for most of his life, he is like 35 ish at the start of halo 1

They chose not to reveal his face for a reason. Its kind of the same thing they did with the LoZ series, how link never talks. It gives the player a bit of a deeper connection with the Chief, makes the player believe that they are the hero. Good decision i think.

IF you go on halopeida it says he has brown hair light skin and freckles
HE graduated at a very early grade
He knows everything Even more then einstein.

I agree with Spartan-1357, not seeing his face makes him seem more amazing and more of a hero.
I haven't been keeping up with bungie lately, but I don't believe we really know the plot of ODST, who knows. Bungie might surprise us?

not only do i think u really dont need to see his face
i also think that u will really never see it in the next 2 games at least.
But ya never know
mayb itll be one of those games they bring abck in like 10 years
(ex: Doom sorta)

hmmm... maybe they could run some of the side stories to halo, like ghosts of onyx or something, that would be cool and we would be able to play as other people besides the chief and elite von ugly face

It's better that they don't show his face because it's all part of who the cheif is, he is a spartan, a legend, show his face and he's a person.

It makes you imagine what the chief looks like, like your the chief, a walking myth.
P.S. Under his helmet, master chief is the hottest man alive heart heart heart LOL

some ppl might think his face sucks if they show it.
not everyone has the same preferences so some ppl wil hate him some ppl wil like him.

I've read all of the books and I have only heard of his mother smelling like soap. (Weird) But nothing about this father. Im more after his background. An in depth look on him.
