The Buccaneers continue toshock the NFL community with stupid ffseason decisions.
Todaye the announced the releases of RB Warrick Dunn, WR's Joey Galloway, and Ike Hilliard, LB Cato Juna and LB Derrick Brooks
I can see why they would get rid of Hilliard and Galloway (their bothe old and not doing much.) June is still young and that puzzles me a bit. Dunn is old but still has miles left to give.
What i dont understand is why they would release Derrick Brooks! 11 pro bowls, 10 straight (1996-2006), 2008. Ap Defensive player of the year 2002, Superbowl 37 champion. over 100 tackles each year he has been in the NFL. 221 consecutive starts (Bucs record) appeared in all 244 games since he was drafted. The list goes on. Point being is that Brooks is still producing and their throwing oneof the greatest players in NFL history out the window.
I have personally called Bucs new head coach Raheem Morris and left him a voicemail telling him how the BUcs nation wont be happy with this.
This is the darkest day in buccaneers history since the letting go of S John Lynchand DT Warren ******** me

What horrible moves by the Buccaneers. Gruden and Kiffin are gone, so the team goes into turmoil, and makes the stupidest decision, yet.
They let go Derrick Brooks, the face of the Bucs for his entire career. A sure Hall of Famer, that can still play. Kiffin left, so the legendary Cover 2 defense will be replaced. I don't even know how Morris (a defensive guy), let their franchise player go. I think he'll go to the Colts.
I know that the Bucs have Earnest Graham and Cadillac Williams, but the NFL has now turned into a RBBC, and all teams need as much depth as they can. Letting go of Warrick Dunn was huge. Dunn can still play, he is a very smart player, and he has done a lot for Tampa Bay off the field. Dunn could possibly land a spot in Denver or Seattle.
It didn't surprise me too much to see Joey Galloway get cut. He has been battling injury, is getting old, and just isn't the same. Hilliard is still a decent player, but isn't the answer. It's clear that the Bucs will probably target a receiver in the Draft of free agency.
And Cato June is still pretty young. They shouldn't have released him, because the Bucs can still teach him the new defensive scheme that they want to imply.
And also don't forget that the Buccaneers let Jeff Garcia take the walk a few weeks ago. He may be old, but he can damn right still play. He's sure to make an impact wherever he signs.
...Well, I feel sorry for Bucs fans. It's clear that Tampa Bay is starting their rebuilding process. Out with the old and in with the new.

They let Garcia leave, and they can't trade for Cassel since he went to the Chiefs. Maybe they'll try to sign a guy like Leftwich.

He was good with the Steelers because just about every player they get somehow turns to gold its crazy. I dotn know, i think it was a big pick up. I see Brooks and June going to Indy.
