Are based off of TV shows, animes, movies, ect.
Like Legos or Inuyasha combat....
I've never liked a game like that, its not an rpg or anything that I could sit down and really play. I did enjoy one InuYasha game because it was an Rpg, the only anime mock combat one I liked was Zatch Bell...><
Anyway what does everyone think? Are they a waste of time? Do you like them? Are there ones that are actualy good??

It depends, some you cant go wrong with (Who wants to be a millionare etc, quiz games) Some are just plain fail (Lost) and some are ok (The Simpsons Game, (And better than that, the arcade game)

Yea thats kind of what I was thinking...Games for things like who wants to be a millionare just make me shake my head no ><

Games based on movies I feel are a waste, such as "Kung Fu Panda". The only movie based game I feel was a success is the Lord of the Rings series. But I feel it became way more than something from a movie.
I think that Telivison series are decent, they have a length to them that give something to work with, and a creator can add things to and warp it. Pokemon is an Example, if you pay attention to the series compared to the games (Hand-helds) there are some things that have simularitys, but the concepts and stories are something definitly diffrent.
With the animes I find fighting games, but I certainly rather see a new Mortal Kombat title come out. The super heros mixed into Mortal Kombat was nearly a disapointment, but realy I just didn't expect it.

Movie games- fail
T.V. shows- fail
Some animes- ok, but it depends if it sticks to the story or something thats completely different.

I heard that The Simpsons game was pretty good. Also, there's a Jackass game.

i own several anime games,
inuyasha rpg, fma1, fma2 i liked em all fma2 was too short tho. i want inuyasha fighter. mrgreen

GOD_OF_DEATH_RYUK unfortunately most liscense based games sucks, the only ones i have played that are decent are kung fu panda naruto ultimate ninja storm naruto rise of a ninja that's pretty much it you just need to play more,

Speaking of movie games...I love Ninja Turtles, but the TMNT movie game that I got for the PSP wasn't that good...
