So I'm guessing almost everyone here has purchased the DVD or gotten the movie off of iTunes. I was talking with a friend of mine (the one who got me into Repo!), and she said that the actual movie before Lionsgate did all the cuts was two and a half hours long. (The movie they played in theaters was 98 minutes.) I wanted to check with other Repo! fans if this is just a rumor or if the actual movie was really that long. If it is, I hope they release a director's cut! biggrin
As for the features on the DVD, what did you all like? Was there anything missing? I'm going to do some research on the director's cut issue (if that is actually true or not), but I know there's a sing-along on the DVD and Blue-Ray versions (I'm not sure about the former). I've performed by myself as Luigi so many times, and I'd love to sing along with the movie, haha!
Has anyone tried that, by the way? When I saw the movie in theatres, I was mouthing the words so I wouldn't disturb my friend next to me. whee

>.> Hmm, On my computers dvd player it says it's an hour and forty minutes long but it's probably because I can't skip through the previews. x3
And omg! It's you. :'D

The DVD really doesn't contain very much in the way of special features. It has a short Stage To Screen featurette, two commentaries, a short featurette about the Repoman himself, and the trailer for the movie. The closest thing it has to a sing-a-long version is if you just turn on the English subtitles. And it's still 97 minutes.
In the commentaries though, they talked about the fact that the origional really was over two and a half hours, and how much they'd like to release a director's cut. But that, as well as weather or not they make the sequel or the prequel, depends on how well this dvd does.
All in all, I would have loved to have more features. I'm pretty sure that if you put the two featurettes together, it's less than twenty minutes. This just feels like something that SHOULD have lots of extras!

For what I was expecting from Lionsgate, I'm fairly pleased. I think the menus are pretty cool, and while we didn't get many special features, the commentaries were great. I'm just hoping sales will continue to be good so we get a special edition.

I'd love a director's cut. I'd like to see the deleted scenes. I don't have a Blue-Ray player so I had to get the regular DVD that doesn't have them.

I got to talk to Darren Smith, Darren Bousman, Bill Moseley, and Terrance Zdunich, as did some of my friends.
And they mentioned that there were a lot of scenes they had to delete because of time restraints.
I am REALLY hoping for a directors cut DVD. And I'd love to see a Blooper Reel.

Like TinyCobra said, the release of any future DVDs (including a director's cut) depends on the current DVD selling well. 3nodding So make sure to encourage other Repo fans to buy it, if they're unsure about spending the money. The only way to get more Repo stuff is to support what's available.

I loved it beyond all comprehension. It's possibly the only movie I've seen at least twice a day for three days running so far, ever since I bought it. Possibly the only thing that would make me happier than a full director's cut would be getting to huggleglomp GraveRobber.

Well I already bought my Repo!
And I'm waiting for the Extended Edition Soundtrack to buy it. So that will be soon too.
Yaaayy Repo!
Also they stated that they needed good reviews on IMBD and sites. He came in to the chat thing the other night (DB)

I would have totally turned into a fangirl at the sight of Bill Moseley. *falls over at thought* I would love to see a Blooper Reel as well; I have a feeling Ogre and Terrance played a lot of pranks... Thanks for all the replies, guys! I promoted the movie a bit on my blog, so I'll make sure to give it some more entries and give it good reviews on IMDB and other movies sites. 3nodding

When I first watched Repo on bluray, I was sad to discover I didn't like it as much as I expected too (which was probably set way high anyway XD), but I still love it! I like it more everytime I watch it, but I think I would've liked it wayyyy more the first time if we had gotten a director's cut. I hope we recruit more Repo! fans now that the dvds are released, but somehow I don't think a lot of people will like it without the prior knowledge of it that we have. Not trying to sound like a downer or anything though, just a humble opinion ^_^ and if we do get a director's cut, you would be damn right that I'll be out there buying it! lol

I really hope that a directors cut does come out. I haven't had money to get a dvd yet but I've made sure to promote it and get other people to buy it.

I don't think it's as hard to convert people as that.
Also, I'm sorry your first time was on Blu-Ray. You need to see it at a theater with other fans.
