Who honestly saw this game coming?
The Arizona Cardinals who have only been in the playoffs..what..twice? And here they are playing at home for the NFC Championship. No one even expected them to make it pass the first round yet they not only defeated rookie Matt Ryan and the Atlanta Hawks but completely annihilated and embarrassed the Carolina Panthers. The Cardinals who are led by a QB who has tasted the sweet victory of winning the Superbowl Kurt Warner look to take the Cardinals to their first superbowl ever.
Then there are Philadelphia Eagles who have had a tough time finding consistency on the field these past seasons. They are led by a QB who has been inconsistent but has been able to play great when needed. Donovan Mcnabb comes into this game to prove that the Eagles are still one the top teams in the NFC and deserve to be in the playoffs. After taking out Adrian Peterson and the Vikings along with a shaky Eli Manning and the defending super bowl champs the Giants the Eagles are definitely looking to end the Cardinals Cinderella Story and head back to the Superbowl.
My prediction:
Cardinals over Eagles 24-21

Sorry, I deleted the other one, because there was already a topic on this. I'll edit the poll to put it on here.

I think that the Eagles will win a close game, because they are playing with so much momentum.
...But I kind of want the Cardinals to win XLIII. Yet, I want McNabb to win a Super Bowl too.

You and me both want to see Mcnabb win a Superbowl, and because they are playing against the Cards(A really good rival although they have that crappy dome)

They have not been that since the realignment. They do have some history together, but not enough.

A quick breakdown of the 2 teams.
offense defense Arizona #4 #19 pass #2 #22 rush #32 #16
Philadelphia #9 #3 pass #6 #3 rush #22 #4
As you can see, The offenses are very nearly the same, but the defenses are worlds apart. And before you go and say that Philly has not faced as good rushing offenses like Arizona let me explain something else to you. Philly has faced the #1 rushing offense in the league 3 times! this year along with the #'s 2, 4, 5 and 8 (2). Arizona has face the number #1 -3 (2), 5, 6 and 8 teams. Philly's record for that is an even .500. Arizona's record is 2-5. Not very good in any measure. And then against pass offenses, Philly has faced the #'s 2 and 9 (2). Arizona has faced #'s 9 and 10. Philly's record is 2-1. Arizona's record is 2-0. That is overall close to even.
This will be a very close matchup that will test Philly's passing defense, but Philly's offense may most likely be only slightly to moderately tested.
Philly has faced the #'s 4, 6 and 7 (3) ranked offenses and have a record of 3-1 Arizona has faced the #'s 5, 6 and 7 offenses and have a record of 1-2.
Philly has faced the #'s 1, 2, 4 (2), 5 (3), 6 and 8 defenses with a record of 5-5. Arizona has faced the #'s 3, 4, 5, 6, 8 and 10 defenses with a record of 1-5. And that is a horrible stat.
Pretty much Philly has the advantage in every way save for Home. For this game I will give you this stat. Home Games Arizona is 7-2 including the playoffs. Philly is 4-4-1 including playoffs. 3 of those losses were late game heroics and/or Philly fumbling. One was an outright blowout. The other was the tie at Cincy. So not really good for Philly. The Home Field Advantage will be the ONLY Advantage they have of Philly.
Also another spot to show is injuries. Philly had one guy injured in the Giants game. Jason Avant. He is expected to play so far and they will be getting back their BIG Guard Shawn Andrews. Arizona is not so lucky. They have lost their TE for the remainder of their playoff run and are praying that Boldin will at least be near 90% for the game if he even plays.
If both teams show up to play, I predict a close first half with Philly flying away in the second.
Philly wins 30- 17

That is why I said they had some. But none really since the REALIGNMENT. Read the full post man. You would see my statement was accurate. Not enough to make them rivals, but enough to make this interesting.

Im going for the Eagles. Amazing how McNabb stunk and was benched and then playing this great. I think the Cardinals think it will be easy since they beat the Panthers by a great Margin and the Eagles beat the Giants by a Small Margin.
Prediction- Eagles over Cardinals 31-24

Well first of all, the Arizona dome isn't crappy. It was the site of Super Bowl XLII, and is regarded as one of the best current fields (it's cool how the field is managed outdoors, and then slid under the walls into the stadium). ...And there will be a lot of history here. It's the first time that the Arizona Cardinals will be playing in the NFC Championship (let alone hosting the game). It's also the first time in NFL history that the top three seeds in the NFC were knocked out before the NFC Championship game. And way back when, the Eagles and Cardinals were bitter division rivals.

ask Dude-Lap this. Ask him how many Eagles fans he saw at the Giants game. Then go and look up how many Eagles fans were at the Vikings game. So far as I know there are close to 10,000+ Eagles fans who are going to be at that game. You think that that place is the Cardinals version of the Black Hole? You have NO IDEA what it is like to be at a game when there are Eagles fans there. I have been at a couple games at other teams stadiums and you will be saying WTF is going on? Trust me, you are in for the game of your life. Arizona will be back in the Playoffs again next year though. Great up and coming team no doubt.
