Welcome, Welcome, to the W.D.Y.W.T thread, Anachronism style! Its anachro-tastic!
So come one, come all, and tell us of the amazing things you've worn today! As people far from mundane, I'm sure you have interesting clothing to share with the rest?
-Pictures are awesome!- ((even if said pictures are drawings done in paint)
How does the wondrous world of steam punk impact your everyday style? I for one, have taken to wearing nothing but dress pants (and jeans that look like dress pants) and pin curling my hair occationally.

Alright! I'll start us off here.
Today I pin curled my hair, which turned out very well (though I needed to straighten my bangs as they looked a bit odd). My mother wanted to go out for a bit, so I ended up wearing black pinstriped pants, a normal purple shirt, and a long grey/black coat with a tall collar. I almost took my goggles too, but they are not quite finished. smile

I didn't actually dress Steampunk today, though I talked about it enough. I had my hair 'done' (cut and colored to look 'natural' for my mother) and my hairstylist guy found Steampunk and Lolita amusing.
If anything was steam about me today, it was my striped socks...that's about it. No one told me I was going to an anniversary party today when I put on a Twilight shirt...-.-

haha~ If I told my hairstylist about steampunk, I'm sure she would just smile and be like "Very interesting" speaking of hair...anyone know what happens to pincurls when you sleep on them? I get the feeling they are going to poof everywhere

I get to wear a suit to school, so I just go with a waistcoat and pocket watch, and wear those often outside of school as well (just without suit jacket and trousers*). I also go to a gaming club every friday, and will sometimes go all properly dressed up, with top hat and cane, and trenchcoat in winter. Googles too, of course.
*Disclaimer: I do of course wear some trousers, just not those ones.

I wear vests and a black courdoroy jacket with brass buttons and buckles. I put antique and vintage pins on them (cameo's, enamel bee pins, vintage rhinestone pins, steampunk broken timepiece pins) I'll also wear striped socks/stockings and lace stockings. Also lace gloves. XD

Electric_Tok I adore the Gentleman's Emporium! Its so wonderful >< And, since a few months ago now, they can ship to Canada, which makes me very happy indeed~ I know! Gorgeous stuff! My boyfriend got a tailcoat, vest, and cravat, and top hat from there for prom and the various gothic/steampunk balls we go to. I got a gorgeous corset gown from fairygothmother.co.uk. I love their corsets. Gorgeous!!

oh what I wouldnt do for a corset~ unfortunatly, I have no money right now! haha~
hm. I read something a while back that said the ideal waist size for a lady in the 1800's was twice the diameter of their neck. Which means..my waist would need to be 24 inches. hmm..
Keeping with the thread, I have a ruffled brown skirt on today! ^^

((XD I was vote number 1 on steam punk every day "Yah!" Go me!))
Well, today was a relaxed day and I went sledding, so I wore a pair of cargo pants with a dragon design on the right leg and my black army boots as well as my large black scarf, and black peacoat.
On Friday, which was my birthday, I wore a scarlet corset, a ruffled skirt, black and white stripped leggings, my army boots, homemade leather jewlery, and a top hat.
I don't remember what I wore on saturday... wow... but you get the idea. I'll get some pictures at some point. Almost all of my outfits look like something out of a steampunk world. I'm rather known for it at my school. I even won a superlative for it in this year's yearbook as a senior. haha
I need a pair of steam-goggles. Maybe I'll make my character's goggles from the Khaos roleplay. hmmm... yes.

Today wasn't very epic, but yesterday was. ^_^ I worse a pinstriped vest over a grey turtle neck with short sleeves. My jeans had a brass chain hanging from my back pocket to my front one. My shoes were just converse. >>
