A tail unknown to many travelers and heroes is the story of the realm of sky islands, let this be told. Beyond the earth is a collection of islands known as Efremel. Many airships travel from island to island, filled with goods and tools. Each land is suspended by a glowing crystal that floats high above the deep blue oceans. The wooden crafts also carry crystals of their own for suspension safely across. The land is covered in green, mountain ranges and valleys take up some of the larger islands. Communities are built upon the floating foundations, ports and towns bustle about in a prosperous business. Navy ships patrol around islands to keep law about the realm. From dark clouds an occasional dark ship will emerge, leaving a trail of fear behind it.

Now it begins...

(still under construction, please be patient)

Setting/place: Efremel, a busy country of many isles.

Time: Though it is known as Timeless, it is mainly Medieval and Renaissance themed, but with some changes, any swords of any culture are available, crossbows can fire faster now, and with several shots bonus, mild mechanics are used, the most machine they have developed are robots that are in a way living. You get the picture.

First, choose your bloodline.

Isalls: Groups of travelers, these people will play the role of settlers. They carry low class weapons (few are lucky to have an actual military grade weapon) they construct their own, unmarked, ships as to venture to a new land where they may make a home for the following ages of their families. These groups usually are clans or friends that have a unbreakable love for adventuring. The Isalls, as the history tells, are very valiant and stout hearted.

Librethians: Outlanders from the ground world who seek to gain gold for themselves. They share a brotherly bond with their own kind. These groups have ships of their own, but recently have started stealing Military ships. The famous Librethian mark is a sly fox holding a blade with three slash marks running through it, showing how despite the pirate like tactics of stealing and taking prisoners, they will fight honorably and without sneak tactics. The common wear is well woven clothing covered by thin layers of pad copper of leather armor. They have very descent weaponry

Trescyans: The noble and proud people of the realm of sky islands. These families are real military material. Some are of militia groups. This group runs the imperial island well, with concern for citizens and Libre pirates as well. Common wear is rich clothing and the best armor affordable. They are equipped with A class military weapons

Erylsins: The groups playing the natives role. These were the original inhabitants of the realm of floating islands, they believed ancestors of theirs made the crystals. The Erylsins were cut down in numbers by the wars that followed for land among the settlers and natives. Soon, there was a sudden peace formed. Legend has it the Erylsins gave the travelers their secrets of travel, by opening the crystal mines letting the new men of the outside build better air ships that consumed less fuel. Also, they shared with the newcomers the legends of the sky land's creation, intrigued by the origins, the new people followed this religion, and were considered from then on half Erylsin, the natives now live peacefully among the other people and serve in the military.

AHM: Mechanical skeletons built by great minds. Little is know of these besides their great power. They require not weapons, for the strength of hand to hand will suffice, but a weapon can be used. They wear nicely made clothing, and little to no armor due to the metal insides, protection is not needed.

Once she realized what they were doing, she didn't know who she was. She had been living the same life, but then found out that it was fake. It was merely an illusion set on by her parents to make her into one of their mindless clones. So, she decided to rebel against them. At first, she did small things, like talking back to them and misbehaving.
Likes: fun, non-cliche things, living in the moment, poking fun at people
Dislikes: ordinary people, cliches (especially when it comes to love), people who can't take a joke

Still, he has made more than decent profit from his findings. He is almost positive of who he will give his belongings to in his Will. Since he has no children, he will give what has to someone he can trust and has been kind, generous, and courteous to him He's not conceded and often enjoys visiting schools, colleges, or meetings to give lectures about what he has discovered. Arya lay back comfortably in his wooden chair. His legs were firmly on the ground though. He sat around the governors table, a long table where the governors and important figures discussed matters with the Grand master.

A young Trescyan sat next to Arya, dark skinned with short hair and a captain's military suit. "So what do you think of Juwel. All he seems to be focused now is the Libre pirates." He whispered to Arya.

Arya turned his head slowly and whispered back. "Currently he is preaching bias to his officials, it is to keep a good image for the people. He well understands the situation." Arya sat focused through the meeting with a motionless and interested face. His lips formed a small curve on each end. The meeting ended and he left his chair, and stretched after bowing to Juwel. He rode a small airship back to Pelnas. He gazed at the crecent moon the whole way back to the family palace. He lived alone with the small company of occasional residents he invited from the village and farms. He gazed at his weapon hanging above the fire place. He sat back more in his chair. "I hope no conflict come soon."

((At the ground world at a Librethian's house)) The sound of heavy coughs filled the room. A youbg Librethian was lying down in his bed with a wet compress on his head. Lerylia removed his compress and placed a fresh one on his head. She sighed and turned to the boy's mother standing beside her.
"I can only prescribe him herbs to surpress his cough. He's not going to last much longer unless we have the necessary medicine."
She takes a note out of her pocket. It read,
"Negotiations to procure the medicine failed. Meet us at the pub for more information."

She slightly smiled,
"Looks like another job." she thought.

"Ah, but conflict is the way of the world, not matter how morbid it sounds. Think, has there been a time where there has been no conflict?" A smiling, old man walked up behind Arya. "We are lucky, there is little conflict here and now. Let us enjoy the moment." Morileneth sat down next to the man who had been so kind to him. "What was discussed at the meeting?" He continued.

((I'll make his font be orange...))

Lerylia looked at the boy's mother.
"Just keep giving him the tea twice a day for his cough. I'll come back in a week to see how he's doing." She slightly bowed and left the room. After about a half hour's walk she arrived at the bar. She headed to a table in a secluded corner of the room and sat down waiting for the others.
"It looks like I'm early." she said to herself quietly.

Arya smiled at him with somewhat sad eyes. "Yes, conflict is inevitable. The Grand Master has been talking much of going directly to them with an armed fleet of ships." Arya described. "Living for them moment seems harder and harder for this world of ours. But yes, we should enjoy it." Arya stood and fed the fire with more logs. "So old friend, how goes your study of the heavens?" Arya asked placing his hand on Morilineth's shoulder. He looked out the window at the stars.
PostPosted: Tue Feb 03, 2009 6:01 pm

"Much goes on with the stars. Certainly more than goes on here. But some changes in one star in particular intrigue me very much. You can say that the 'peak my curiosity' immensely." The old coot said. "Alas, if strife come our way, then I wont be able to study it as much as I would like. With all the ships bound to be in the war, I wouldn't easily mistake one of the powerful gems keeping them afloat as a star." Morilineth too peered out the window. He pointed towards a particularly bright light, out shining anything else visible in the sky. "You see? It was hardly anything but a red dot before. What could explain it could be the discovery of a thousand lives. And if it is this bright, then it can only last so long. So if war breaks out, we may never see it's beauty again." The old man was deep in thought when it came to him. "This has never been seen before. This itself could cause war. War, the most idiotic thing in the world, is caused by those as idiotic as the war itself. People will sooner blame something horrible on someone else before realizing it isn't even something to worry over." Morilineth breathed heavily after so much speaking. He stood, took a spy glass out from a chest in a corner, and handed it to Arya. "Look. But careful of your eyes."
