This is a poll to see one who we have that would be interested in seeing Role-play threads and activity, as well at what kinds of RPs you would like to see to best encourage activity there.

Here is a few of the different types of Roleplays I know of. If you can think of something else you would like to see post it here and explain what it is.

Official Storyline based Role-play: Role-play with a back story. It has and entire world to Role play in. There are groups of Good guys, Neutral, and of course bad guys. The way this works is each group has a location or goal to achieve. Once that goal is achieved an event of some sort happens and a new goal is set.

Official Freestyle RP: Has a fixed setting or world in which people can interact with each other. Basically the people who are there can do what they want with their time there. Events can be regular person controlled as well as having larger events that are official made by the RP coordinators and the guild crew.

Unofficial RP: Currently I am thinking about not allowing these for a period of time until we get some regular activity. Any user can set up this thread and they are basically the controllers of what happens here. The only problem I have with this type of thread is it spreads out the activity of the active RPers and may cause inactivity. They Come in all types including freestyle and storyline based.

I know that these are very broad in definition and that there is some overlap, but any input will Help the crew make a better guild for you.

i just want a decent rp that dosent have a minimum number of sentences you have to write. it makes it less fun for me like work rather than fun

ya know...I could take over this sub forum and try to give it new life if ya want...I'd delete most of the old rps and make a couple new ones...

Now that I think of it, I don't see why we can't have all three and let everyone choose their own poison, ya know?

Besides it's good to have a break and flail around in some others. But it might be a good idea to pause the unofficial ones for a bit and wait 'til people are ripping at your throat to let them in again, lol. At least then you'll know they're serious. lol

Also I get ya thar. wink A lot of regulations in this thread, I know have driven some good rpers away actually. Or maybe it's the fact that there was strict regulation at all. I couldn't tell ya. sweatdrop

As for Chris, last I chatted with him, he is basically neck deep in real world things to be able to keep up this section. If anything, I'd believe so long as this was taken care of some how and kept in good shape, he'd appreciate the effort.

But I do have one question. Might we have a section in "Fail Experiments" for deceased rp threads that are memorable to the users, or those that the owner would like to save? (Of course this would be by personal request.) I was in an awesome one once, and truth be told, though it died out I and some of my friends would actually go back and read it even if we couldn't continue on.

1st off, if this comes across as spam, my appologies in avdanced and feel free to delete this.

I've been here on gaia for ages and am fed up with it (have been for a while) so a year ago I moved to a site called roliana, its much like "old days" gaia (3 + years ago style), you know, before the commercialisation of the site etc.

Up there I have just created a FFVII related RP and incase anyone is intrested in joining here is a link:

I would say the RP is different to what we have had up here in the guild so far, mainly because it has an actual leveling up system based on how often and well you post. I have a storyline and everything far planned out and running, its early days so anyone is free to jump over there, have a look, and maybe even join.

Sorry again if this breaks any guild rules, its been such a while since I was on gaia, I can possibly not remember some of them.
